Coffee...and for July 30, 2006. We came from over here: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/632730/

Okay, pull up a chair, maybe Maria has put some goodies on the counter for us, as a Welcome Back contribution. Grab a cup and have a beverage of your choice. If it is hot where you are, maybe a glass, some ice and some nice orange juice. At any rate, tell us what you plan to do today. I have church, a free afternoon, then a pot luck supper, so pardon me, if I have to putter around putting something together for that while you enjoy your morning drinks.

A nice cool gel salad would suit me fine. Orange jello filled with shredded cabbage and carrots will hit the spot!

good night Gracie - where ever you are!

Tip toeing in ... Shhhh I don't want to disturb sleeping beauty. LOL

I'm sooo excited cause today my DH is coming home from a business trip. He left on Tuesday, and it's been a long week. I'm planning on staying home from church in the morning and cooking him up a feast! LOL Can't wait to get my baby home! ;)

Morning all - slept like a log last night- had wild dreams too (which I enjoy!!_ Was going to go for a garden walk, but went outside andd was attached by mosquitos- I'll have to put that off until the sun comes up!!

Oz, boat is 36 ft long, 2 engines - 450's, beautiful cuddy- spacious enough that I didn't feel claustrophobia at all and a huge bathroom/shower area- two beds, big eating area. Can't remember the name of the boat (DH knows, but he is still in la la land) He guessed closer to 200 g. Anyhow, I'm happy for him!!

IO1- glad that DH is back - I don't like being alone, so when this one kicks the bucket, I'll have to find me another one! LOL

tgif - that salad sounds great- send me some... We ended up having grilled cheese sandwiches at 9pm last night. It was too hot to eat earlier.

defoe- sheesh, that kid raked in a load!! I'd like that kind of birthday party!! Anyone want to host mine for me? I'll still pass on the tomato ice cream....even if it was flavored with something else....

Kat- ok, you must share the recipe for taco soup - sounds a tad hot for this weather, but in the fall....yum

Cat is at the door scratching, so I need to let her in - how come she can open the door to get out, but not to get in??

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Good morning everybody, I appreciate the quiet last night, that enabled me to get in bed and get a good night's sleep! I01, I hope you were not referring to me as sleeping beauty, never seen myself asleep, but I can assure you that your description does not fit me.

I01, so tell us what you are making for DH? Something real special I bet.

One thing I look forward to on Sunday morning, is the early delivery of the Sunday paper, well somebody overslept, because I went to the mailbox, and the paper is not here. Maybe one of the neighbors borrowed it before I got up?

Well gotta get moving, have decided that it is going to be bacon and tomato sandwiches after church. Since the potluck is at 4:30, don't want to spoil my appetite for that.

Be back later.

Schroon Lake, NY(Zone 4a)

I'm gonna be controversial here, I think. "mc" doesn't mean rich in McMansion, it means, like fast food, low quality, cheap and fast. McMansion started as a term of derision to make fun of houses that are designed just to impress but are really low quality and of poor (or even appalling) architectural design. Taste of course is individual. Design standards, however, have evolved over thousands of years.

Some people also find greed, extravagance, consumerism and conspicuous consumption offensive. (I'm one of them). I'm appalled at the thought someone could burn $1500 of fossil fuel in a speed boat.

Who feels like cooking in this miserable heat? I picked up one of those rotisserie chickens yesterday at the market, and made a spinach, penne, and pine nut salad with shaved parmesan on it. Still have salad leftover, so it will be good for tonight. Maybe chicken salad sandwiches to go with it. I sure don't want to cook!

Elaine, wish my DH would go away for a week so I could miss him. LOL

I beheaded snaps again yesterday, early in the morning though, and propped up the tomato plants with the trellises. I did one the other day but it wasn't secure. I used to tie up tomatos with panty hose as it is nice and stretchy, doesn't stand out, and is extremely durable. Well, it appears I have NO hose left at all, so I had to tie them up with old shoelaces. LOL

Our neighbors down the hill, who used to have horses, have their house up for sale. $625,000. And the market for big houses just went plop around here. I wondered why they were doing all the fixing up lately, they put in a driveway, had the house painted and are being very diligent about lawn care. Wonder how long it will take to sell. There's one up the road that claims to have garage space for 8 cars, but DH said that's a stretch unless you maneuver them in sideways and it's been on the market for months. The asking price was similar, but has now been reduced.

Good morning to all, tgif, Elaine, Maria, Sarv, Oz, Bonnie, Scooter, etc. I'll bbl to see what's on the counter....have a great day. (Bonnie you can have my Sunday papers, I pick them up on Saturday and I finished them last night)

dmc... I don't want to start a debate lest we all get thrown off DG but I have a similar reaction to the folks who drive HumVees just because they can afford them. We are a wasteful throw-away society in general. There are so many people who throw trash on the roadsides, buy stuff that will never recycle or break down, overuse pesticides, abuse our natural resources and just don't care about the future of our planet and their own kids and grandkids. Solar energy is a great way to go but no one has figured out how to sell sunlight.

On a less controversial note, I awakened to the bellowing of cows. They have moved some into the lot next to my fence this morning, which means I will have more flies. I haven't checked to see if they put a barrier in the creek to keep them out of my yard. The creek is so shallow right now that it would be an easy way in.

Sheila, where do people get the money to pay a mortgage on that kind of house?

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Hi folks,

Just catching up from yesterday. won't try to comment on all but Tomato Ice Cream. Sounds interesting. Given how sweet the little tomatoes are in my garden (not yet, but soon, I hope). Sounds better to me than Green Tea Ice Cream.

Now Bonnie, don't you think WE should be putting the goodies out for Maria as a welcome back? Anyway, you only have 2 more days of thread starting before I get to try to follow in your footsteps. McCool - are you still OK with taking over half-way through the month? I think the last day I'm reliable for is August 17.

Oz's boat sounds like a small yacht. I hope he takes it farther than that small lake he lives on. With Dorothy's further comments on speed boats, I'm thinking I missed something in skimming mesages yesterday.

Three concerts yesterday. The one at 10 was a kids' concert by two harpists and was well done. Not very many attendees though. I was head usher and had more than enough people to keep control of the line No spirals this time.

At 2 it was a concert of Klesmer music. I volunteered to be the usher to sit in the back hall and control traffic at the back door. Couldn't see, but could hear the music though not most of the commentary. But the church in which it was located is VERY hot and there is a breeze by the back door. The same Klesmer group performed at the banquet of the viola congress I went to in June; so I'd heard them before.

The evening concert was a solo guitar recital. Very nice. I ended up being head usher from default since they hadn't assigned anyone to that post. Not too large a crowd. There was a specatcle concert going on at the National Arts Centre (capacity 2000) of 23 pianists playing on 12 Steinway grand pianos. I think they filled the hall, but no way would you catch me there. The only other concert was where I was.

Today, I'm not working at any but will attend one at 2 by the Leipzig String Quartet and another in the evening of chamber music of Italy. Hard choice this evening as there were two concerts I wanted to hear, but the heat in St. John's Church made me decide to attend the one at St. Andrews.

For now, it's relatively cool and I need to get out into my garden while it still is.

have a great day.

Ann

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Good morning. Welcome home, Maria. I hope you survive the Samson welcome. Your garden walk will be almost like walking through someone else's garden after so much time. Take your clippers, there will be lots of snipping to do. Samson will want to play ball too, so that will give you a busy day. I'm sure he will stick close to you for fear that you will disappear again.

Wow, Sarv, what a boat your brother has! The price is the basic part, then there is insurance, upkeep, moorage, and the cost of fuel. I can't emagine having that kind of toy! No way! You know they say that a boat is a hole in the water where you poor money. Good for you saying you didn't want to house/kid sit. I wonder if the boat party was a hook? Anyhow, stand firm, they can afford to hire somebody. If either of them had to take a cut in pay there would be a whole lot of stuff for sale and lifestyle changes. I'm glad you and your family had a nice day enjoying it.

No tomato ice cream for me, and you can also skip the dill pickle flavor. I bought some spumoni yesterday.

Elaine, I didn't realize you had spent the week alone. Happy day today when hubby returns.

Yesterday was hot again. The satelite tv repair guy came and now we have a working tv again. It's been down a long time, hubby had called and they told him how to realign the dish, he did that, still didn't work, ( it turned out they had given him the wrong coordinates and the dish was aligned to some zip code in Texas! ), then he called back and they told him some other things to do, that didn't work either. 3rd call they told him to go to a website for instructions, it wouldn't let him in. So then we told them that we could do without the tv, and if they wanted to have us for a customer they could send a guy out to fix it and we shouldn't have to pay the for service charge or the down time, they agreed.

I need to get moving, I might have to help the neighbor with a cow. The one I was watching last week had trouble delivering, calf was dead and the cow had a uterine prolapse. The vet sewed her together and now she needs to be moved to the corral so she can be milked a little and then have a foster calf put on her. The bonding process will take a few days and she will need to be put into a chute a couple of times a day so her new baby can nurse. Yesterday she was very wobbly, possibly the epidural anesthetic had left her legs numb. Hope she is better today. ~~~ at all of you that were missed.

Broke down and turned the AC on. I hate it, but this horrid heat has taken a toll of me. I found a load of mold growing by the freezer- yikes!! I took bleach to it.

Clouds have rolled in and if we have rain on top of this humid stuff, I fear we'll have mold growing all over!! Mon and Tues are supposed to be in the high 90's ...

I've been collecting wave petunia seeds. I have enough to start several flats of them for next year..yahoo

Mary - good for you for getting the satellite guy to come out for repair... We have DTV and love it- we seldom watch regular tv except for the news. We love the history , hgtv, and the cooking channel. The the cow bonds to the calf!! Poor thing...

Vi - how long do those concerts go on. Seems like you've been working at them/attending them for two weeks at least!! I would have loved to hear the 23 pianists -

Darius- cows mean manure...get your shovel ready!! I'll pass on the flies tho. Hearing them moo is a homey sound...any roosters yet? I agree about the waste on our planet. Our kids drink bottled water and just looking at all the 'throw aways' from that makes me sick!! I don't understand why they can't be recycled... what a waste.

off the soap box for now and into the garden - I saw some more japanese beetles that are going to bug heaven....

Starkville, MS

defoe - I'm glad we didn't keep you awake last night. You needed the 'good' sleep.

MaryE - prolapses are such a trial. My neighbor usually will go ahead and sell a cow that does it. Based on history, that cow is very likely to do it again, so she cuts the loss early in the game. I hope the fostering works out. With confinement, she should be OK with it in a couple of days. Hey, it beats bottle feeding!

It is vaguely cooler this morning, but still not comfortable outside - and *still* no rain! I went out early and set about drowning everything out there. I know I'm not doing a lot of good, but trying to keep enough life in my plants to see them through until better weather arrives. The only thing left are the container plants on the front porch and while I'm there I need to do some pruning to start some cuttings for the upcoming swap.

Ann, how can you keep all that straight?! You have got to one of the most efficient people I have ever known. Ah, but all that beautiful music! For all the work, the reward sounds wonderful.

Darius - look at it this way - yes, some flies, but you can harvest a little "black gold" here and there to add to your compost!

Yahoo! Elaine-IO1 shall be whole again with the return of her other half! I know he will love the feast, even if its pb&j as long as you are at the table with him. You often hear people talk about coming home to their own bed, but think , isn't your own dining table just as wonderful?!

Now sarv, you know that if Cat could open the door and come in on her own - she wouldn't close it, so you would *still have to get up!

Time to hit the front porch - m5, oz, dmc, and all others~~~~~~ BBL
ginni

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

LOL "get up to close it" Ain't that the truth!! We had two nice downpours this morning, so I suggested to DH that he turn off the sprinkler....I have not been able to convince him that a once a week good soak is enough for the grass, and that giving the other plants a daily shower instead of a good soaking is better, so I just gave up.

As far as the cow poo goes, it is gold, and smells a lot better than exhaust fumes and road tar melting. Darius, I honestly wonder when I see these huge houses how they manage to pay the mortgage. And none of these young people seem willing to wait and save for the things they buy on credit. I am shocked at the size of my DS and DD's credit card debt, it would make me faint! I gave each of them a sizable sum, last year and this, and suggested it would be good to use it to pay them off, but maybe I should have made the checks out to the card co. because neither of them did it. I didn't see any point in them waiting for me to croak, and pension regulatiions would have required it to go to my spouse, He doesn't need it. And no monthly budget for them either!! Even though I am comfortable financially, I still clip coupons, save my change, have a special "mad money" account for emergencies...do they all think those paychecks will come in forever? One major financial disaster and they'll be in huge trouble.

I feel pretty much like Dorothy about the Humvees and SUVs and Off Road vehicles, those people don't really need them and are just displaying their wasteful habits for the rest of us to see. I can see a Soccer Mom needing a van to haul kids and equipment around, but really, how many people are off roading, or need a military style vehicle to drag their butts around? This is such a wasteful society, it's no wonder many countries think we are insane or greedy or both.

Sarv, how do you save the wave petunia seeds? Do you just take off the dead blossom, or shake it, or what?

Mary, the satellite people will do almost anything to avoid making a service call, and must have used up all their excuses by the time you convinced them that it was THEIR system that needed attention from a technician. We've been very happy with the service we've gotten from TimeWarner, they are prompt with service, their phone techs are invariably polite and patient, and we have had no problems like we had with the dish. I would guess that it isn't available because you are out of a service area, we waited four years for them to lay cable out here.

OK, if nobody is baking, I will march to the kitchen and start pastry for a blueberry pie. Maria needs somethng sweet for her homecoming. Later.'

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Okay back from church, and the Colonel provided lunch here today. Since I have to cook for the potluck tonight, figured someone else could cook at lunch.

dmc, no controversy here, you explained McMansion much better than I ever could. I agree, too much in this society that is just thrown away.

We had a discussion in Sunday School today about "old time" ways having gone the route of the dinosaurs. Most in the class had never actually done any canning or preserving, although they had been exposed to it at home. Most opt for convenience, vs taste. One lady said that she would buy her beans at Walmart, I explained how much she was missing in terms of flavor, satisfaction, and knowing what went into the finished product. Bet that went right over her head, and by her manicured fingers. Nothing against manicures, but my fingers always are covered in dirt, scratches, nicks and scrapes.

Well, got to get in the kitchen and cook for tonight. Hope everyone has a good restful afternoon.

The sun has finally come out, we had fog so thick here that you could cut it with a knife, still very hot and humid though.

BBL

Gravois Mills, MO(Zone 6a)

It is too hot to be outside today. I have been watchinbg TV news. Most of those newscasters just run their mouth and make stories out of any drama they find. Most of the time it is not what is going on. Hezbollah plays them so easy. I was watching the reporting about this bombing where mostly women and children were killed. I bet the reason more men were not killed is because they were out in the street shooting rockets. I would be willing to bet those people in that building were in support of the Hezbollah unit that was there such as prepairing meals etc. I would go so far as to bet 90% of those civilians still in Southern Lebanon are Hezbollah connected. I wish they rent Isreal a couple B-52's and give them about 50 daisy cutters then they would have something to cry about in southern lebanon.

LOL ginni! My sister use to accuse me of wetting her pants! :-) Of course all she had to do was scream "Maaa " and I usually got in trouble!

Well, I have a meat loaf mixed and ready for the oven, potatoes peeled and cut up and eggs boiled for the potato salad and pole beans are cooking with a bit of country ham. I'll slice some tomatoes and fix some cucumbers in balsamic vinegar. These are *his choices ... not mine. :-) LOL

Yes Defoe ... I *was referring to you. I hope you were able to get your beauty rest last night. ;) Speaking of rest ... has Mr. B rested up now?

Ann, I would have loved to have heard all those pianoes. Hope you'll be able to get some rest yourself soon. You're making me tired just reading your post, but it sounds like you're having a good time.

Mary, the DH had to go off on a business trip for 911 and due to circumstances, I couldn't go this time. :-) So sorry about the baby calf. Hope Mama accepts the new one. I don't watch a lot of tv, so I probably wouldn't have missed it tooo much. My DH is the TV bug around here. I do like some of the cooking programs, though. Glad you were able to get a service man to the house. That's almost unheard of this day and age. LOL

Okay, I'm off to the kitchen. ~~~~

"Broke down and turned the AC on. I hate it, but this horrid heat has taken a toll of me. I found a load of mold growing by the freezer- yikes!! I took bleach to it."

Sorry to butt in.......but this is a REAL problem that can affect your health! Since the hurricanes of 2004 there have been mounting health problems here because of mold. Unfortunately most of it is hidden in the walls because of leaks from roof damage. One school here was all repaired and ready for students when they decided there was still much hidden mold, so they demolished the whole school.

I still have a blue roof and I know MUCH mold in the wall behind my computer, so I keep my A/C on all the time, winter and summer, and pull the temp down low enough to keep the mold growth down. Eventually they will repair the roof and tear out the bad wall. Until then I try to keep it under control.

Sorry to jump in here with such negative info on a lovely Sunday morning, but if you have any respiratory problems it can be a real threat.

Now m5, who could blame that innocent face for *anything*?

Elaine His choice sounds mighty good to me!! Do you have enough for a bit of company?

Pati - the utility bill will certainly go up, but it will *never* be above the health cost if you can't control the mold growth. I'll loan you a sweater! Please continue to take care of you and yours!

Just heard the most incredible music arraqngement. Fiona Ritchie does a weekly show on NPR on Celtic music, show is The Thistle and Shamrock. Today they played a duet of an Aboriginal diggeredoo (sp?) and a Celtic harp. Strange combination I would never have considered but it was wonderful. I missed the name because I'm making jelly.

Hi everyone. Short note not to let you all know that DH is going to go through a series of shots before the insurance will authorize him for surgery. I am so tired of arguing with them, and DH just seems to go with the flow of it. So, its his back, his pain, I am stepping out before I hurt someone.

Yesterday around noon I typed up a long post and commented on all the going ons of everyone, I heard a screaching tires, a loud bang and my internet and power was gone. A large truck swerved to miss hitting another car and hit the power pole behind us, it knocked out our entire neighborhood. We finally had power restored about 9 last night and we still have no cable. They are telling us it could be another week before the can get it back up because they dont know what the problem is. So I will be checking in from my FIL house while I come over here to water the gardens while he is out of town.

Hope all have a great day, ~~~~~~ to all

Wow, Casey, sounds like a crazy time at your house too! You're in Las Vegas now aren't you? WOuldn't want to be without A/C in either place tho. Glad no one was hurt, it is a heart stopping sound, hearing that screech of tires and bang.

I hope DH gets relief. Sometimes I wonder if the insurance cos just want you to give up, there are so many hoops.

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Hi Folks,

Got a few minutes. Let's see what I can write.

Sarv - we're half-way through the Festival. They started last Saturday evening - well Friday if you count the extra concert in the parking lot, but it wasn't REALLY part of the Festival. The last real concert is next Saturday evening and then there is a private concert followed by a reception for the 300 or so volunteers next Sunday evening. Hope you got all the japanese beatles.

Ginni - there are two printed means of keeping the concerts straight. There is a small booklet (36 pages 8 1/2 x 11 folded - so 9 pieces of paper) that lists all the concerts and locations. A lot of people cart that around with them. Trouble is, it was the preliminary program designed for ticket sales and there have been some changes; so if you rely on it entirely, you can get a wrong curve thrown at you. Then there is a LARGE souvenir (though I'll throw mine away) program book which has lots of ads but also has each program in detail with background info on the venues and bios of the musicians. Each concert is a separate page. They sell those for $10 but volunteers get a coupon for one free. I go through it with a red pen marking lines through the concerts I'm not going to and writing in my job if I'm volunteering or just that I'm attending if that's the case. Then I use sticky tabs ( about a dozen of them) to mark the next next concerts I'm attending and rotate them trhough the book. Finally, I also put my schedule, color coded, into a spreadsheet and printed it out for easy reference. The trickiest part is deciding whether I'm going to take my car or the bus.

Sheila, your DD and DS sound like a lot of young people these days. they've never known a life w/o credit cards. Don't know about you, but I look on a credit card as a free loan for a few weeks and make a point not to charge more than I can pay off in full each month, but that idea of having the money before spending it seems lost on the younger generation. Although DD#2 may have learned her lesson the hard way a few years ago when a collection agency tracked her down about the unpaid credit card debt just after she got laid off her job. I despaired of her ever becoming fiscally responsible, but she seems to have turned herself around

Casey - sorry about the lost power and cable. And the trials with DH and the insurance. Hope things improve.

Well, on to dinner. I got a few hours in the garden this morning and tamed my tomatoes which had grown wild. Lots of ties and quite a bit of pruning. Found the beans had lots that were ripe. Give the garden a week of hot, steamy weather and me away doing other things and it GROWS! We're having beans for dinner this evening. Then by 7:15, out to another concert. DH will go with me. There is another string quartet playing, but I don't like the accoustics of the venue. This afternoon, I went to the wrong church. It was a pass-plus concert meaning I had to buy an extra ticket in addition to my pass and most of them are in the air-conditioned church. Thought it was awfully quiet and wondered at my luck finding a parking place a block from the church 20 minutes before a concert; so I pulled out my ticket to discover the true locale. Parking was a bit more challenging there, but I did find a spot on the street and I got there in time.

I think I am finally caught up on reading 'coffee' threads again. It's great to feel connected again. I can't seem to find the time at night to get reading done. And then DH hogs the machine. lol I should have made notes as I read - duh me! Now I can't remember squat, of course!

Glad you are safe and sound, home again, Maria! And there is nothing like a lonely dog to welcome you home! Barney would yip and 'talk' for 15-20 mins everytime we came home in the truck. And that was usually for a 2 day absence. lol

The heat here has been unbearable! It is over 100º. Major uck! And the humidity has been over 90 percent and higher. Wed. or Thurs. am it was 100 percent and not raining. You can't hardly breath outside!

Last Sunday we went to the air show in Sioux Falls. The Blue Angels were performing. It was awesome! They came for the SD Natl Guard's 60th anniversary. The Budweiser Clydsdales were there too - not flying tho. ha ha! The temp was only 96º but the humidity was down that day so it was tolerable. We were there from 10 am to 4:30 and just the last half hour I was starting to feel miserable. I was surprised I tolerated the heat that well but I wore a large 'straw' hat and drank 4 or 5 bottles of water. Only went to the WC once so the rest got used up!

I've been watering every day. We have water restrictions so only do the pots daily. I sure wish DH would get the hose working on the front of the house again. It takes 5 trips with milk jugs to water all the pots. I'm REALLY tired of doing that. The hose is long enough out back to do the garden and both sides of the house so that's not so bad. We had a storm Mon. night and got 1 inch of rain in less than 30 mins. That is the only rain we've had in a month so all the grass is brown here. I'm seeing brown corn and soybeans on the way to work too. Some is already past the point of developing any crops. We're definitely in a drought situation.

The birds did not get my black currant crop this year. I got them picked in time. :) I filled 5 jars, about 12 to 16 ounces each, plus 10 of those little jars that come in those meat/cheese/jam boxes people buy for hostess gifts or for people they don't know what to buy for at Christmas time. I gave them away at work. That was fun! So I'll leave a jar on the counter and you can all try some on your icecream (actually the best is on Dutch pudding but I'm out of mix right now so you'll have to make do with icecream). :) Speaking of which, I think I'll have some right now! Cya!

Had a wild storm blow thru here -strong winds, lightning, thunder and downpours....then the sun came back out and the steam is rising from the earth!! It is cool inside, but I miss the sounds of birds etc from the outside. There is a boat missing on Lake Mich -where were were on Friday. Scarey stuff when a bad storm roars across the water.

DGS came over for the afternoon - DS/DIL are celebrating their anniversary. DIL wanted a ring, went shopping and couldn't find one, so she decided to put the $ aside for a snazzy camera like mine - good thinking on her part!!

VI- glad you found a parking spot for the concert!!

Carat- yikes - good thing the vehicle didn't hit your house or another car!! Good luck getting the internet back up!!

Patti- the mold was on the basement floor by the back door. It happens when it gets real humid in this area. Is mold the same as mildew??? I probably mispoke myself-it was mildew... We've already collected a gallon of water from the air conditioner...

IO1- I'll come over for meat loaf- one of my favorites - especially meat loaf sandwiches!! If it wasn't so hot here, I'd whip one up. DH is making hamburg helper- we have been eating awful here lately - I just don't feel like cooking at all...good thing DH doesn't mind doing it.

M5- don't look at me....I didn't do it..your DH probably did it!!

Samson is back home now resting after showing me how happy he is being here again, I am full of scratches he just could not help him self lol
It is really great to have him back. The vet said he is one of the most beautiful Golden he has ever seen and added 'I have seen many'

Edited to correct typos :-(

Yay, Mariia! I'm sure Samson is a Happy Camper tonight.

Sarv, not much difference in mold and mildew where the lungs are concerned.

My first run of Peach Melba hasn't set up, but maybe it will. Otherwise, it's Peach Melba Ice Cream Topping! More to do tomorrow but decided to juice the raspberries and not have seeds. That takes Time.

Maria, glad to hear that you and Samson are one again!! Those are love marks!! Are you royally pooped from all your travels? I am so impressed that you take off for places unknown all by yourself!! I wish I was more adventurous!! I've been asked to go to the casino this Friday - at first it sounded fun, but now I'm having second thoughts...

Darius - peach melba ice cream topping sounds good to me!! Haven't heard much about Gracie - is she still hanging around?

Hamburg helper was ok- made breadsticks to go with it - that made it better!! For dessert I had a bowl of cherry/chip ice cream. A twist cone sounded better, but neither DH nor I had the oomph to get in the car and go after one!

off to check out mildew/mold etc.

Woohoo ... the DH is home ... and I think he's just about the prettiest sight I've seen in the past few days. LOL Of course I'm sure Maria would beg to differ! :-) Maria ... I'm just so happy for you. I'm jumping up and down for joy along with you. :-) Y'all forgive me but I just don't have time to speak to everyone tonight. LOL
~~~~ and love to all.
