What Garden Book are you reading?

No, I'll have to check that out.

A Weaver's Garden, by Rita Buchanan.
Not that I'm about to put in woad or anything (grins to those who know it's classed as an invasive!) but in anticipation of a loom that's coming here to live next month!
Some very nice history of plant fibers used in textiles, and photos of dye-plants and stuff on garden planning and planting - broad scope by way of a book, without skimping on any of the topics she covers.

My books were shipped on the 13th & should arrive on Monday. I'm usually not excited about Monday rolling around. I hope that the postal carrier doesn't disappoint me!

In the meantime, the Landscaping for Dummies has been a pleasant surprise. So what does that say about me? I will definitely be writing a review on this one.

I was told that I owed a $4 late fee @ the library last weekend. I questioned it & was told that it was a computer "glitch", so I didn't have to pay it. I believe that the initial shock shortened my life by a second. Anyway, the librarian apologized.

I just picked up Rodale's ' Vegetable Garden Problem Solver' at the library, and I am going to end up buying this book. Very practical advice, laid out in chapters, and a good reference book for the beginning and advanced veggie gardener. The one thing that i really like, is the advice to feed the soil!

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

I never saw a Rodale gardening book I didn't like.

Rockford, IL(Zone 5a)

I'm half way done with the "All New Square Foot Gardening". It's very easy reading and explained very well with Mel's gardening concept. Lots of great ideas and sensible thoughts about gardening in a square foot instead of the traditional row methods, and no reason to waste all those seeds from thinning them out, etc.

Read on.....alllllllll..........keep turning those pages.

Linda :)
