Vegas,NV Filbert, SC(Zone 7b)

DR, I am so sorry to hear about your son. I know that has to be really hard on him.

Oh Suzie, I knew I was forgetting something important yesterday but I was so tired that I just couldn't go back and read again. So I have wished for the happiest of all weeks for you.

Nancy, welcome to coffee and..... Its wonderful to have people from other countries come in and chat. We learn so much from each other. It is great to have Suzie's little sis here with us...

DMC it is wonderful news to hear you are beginning to feel better. With spring just around the corner (here at least) you need to be at your best for gardening...

OZ, are you sure thats a real fish or a small child in a costume. WOW. I want to come to your fish fry....

Well tomorrow I have to go to court for a incident that happened over two years ago, then finally Friday is the last day of training and I will be done with these 14 work related days. It has been taking me an hour after work to drive across town attend a two hour training and then an other hour drive home. Yuck.....

Going to bed, Hope all have a wonderful day tomorrow..

Casey

Babs, give that mum of yours a big daughterly hug from me for just making me smile....

Maria did you ever answer my question about schnitzel? I was wondering if that is the veal, hammered until very thin, breaded and pan fried? Your menu's remind me of so many meals my mother use to make for us. Yummmy

Kittymom, that's amazing that the little fellow has escaped being eaten. The egg must have been well hidden and protected, and that little guy has been hiding out a long time. Many years ago I had some of the white corys but when I looked them up on the internet I see they come in other colors. What color are yours? I used to get a kick out of the way they walk on their whiskers, always looking for hidden treasures.

I did take a nice ride today, about 2 hours of slow riding but I didn't get cold today because there wasn't much wind. We scared up about 10 deer and otherwise didn't see any wildlife. When the weather gets warmer there will be rabbits everywhere, lots of birds, coyotes and other critters. Here is a picture of where I was riding today. The big rocky hill is Table Rock, it is about 2 miles from home and I can see it from my kitchen window. I don't go up there, way too steep and rocky, but I do ride into the canyon at the base of it and look up about 700 ft to the top. And I ride on the gentler hills on 3 sides of it.

This is typical of the terrain I ride through. This is the view looking back up the canyon from the base of Table Rock.

A different view of Table Rock. You can see for many miles out there, and I only see another person about once a year. It's like I own the whole thing and don't have to fix the fences or pay taxes on it. Oh yes, and those are horse ears in the foreground.

Mary I would have recognized them anywhere!! LOL.

Mary, I really find your part of the country fascinating. I would love to see it one day. It sounds absolutely magnificent. When we go out to Montana, I'm always amazed at the difference in the mountains out there. Our mountain roads are steep and winding but in Montana the mountains are so big it's such a gradual incline you hardly realize you're going up. I love hearing about other parts of the country. Thanks for sharing. You have a wonderful way with words. :)

101, Mary, enjoyed your comments about the mountains. I too am fascinated about your part of the country Mary. I hope to one day be able to come "out west" and enjoy the scenery.

At long last, I am going to bed.

Sweet dreams to all of you.
