Coffee and...For Thursday January 26, 2006

One more quick check-in. Hubby is staying home this weekend so he will (hopefully) keep an eye on AmandaPanda. She is trying to sneak out the door into the big world, and made it into the basement tonight. I hope she will be a good girl but I suppose he will have some "bad kitty" stories for me when I get home.

Jumping cow story, oh yes they jump quite well when they want to, sometimes taking the fence with them, not today tho. If a cow can get her head over the fence she can usually get the rest of her over it somehow. We had one try unsuccessfully today because she got a front foot hung up. I was able to climb over the fence quickly and get in her face, and when I did she quit trying to go forward, her foot came loose and she stayed where she belonged. A few minutes later she made another try so I went over the fence again and stood there threatening her until she was put into the chute to get her shots. Her mother was a nutty animal, originally named Wild Lass and after a few stunts her name lost the L. This daughter seemed not to be like her mother, but the older she gets the worse she gets, so she might be sold if she gets too crazy.

Defoe, ouch a couple of times on the tooth problem, one ouch is done, the other one will come when you have to sell your firstborn to pay the bill.

Darius, have a good trip. Are you seeing your sister this time? If so, I hope you don't have fireworks.

Jas, the puppy pictures are cute, especially the one with the cute little pink tongue sticking out. Somebody (you?) had a quick shutter finger.

I'm hoping to sleep better than the last two nights so I am going to take antihistamine and go to bed.

Defoe, to my surprise at my dental appointment last Tuesday I also have to have two crowns to save the teeth,estimation given to me it was be $3000.00 including a couple of refills. I am missing some molars since a while, Dentist said I could have artificial ones, where they implant a screw and eventually top it with a molar. that would cost $ 3000.00 per tooth plus a year till complted. I said forget it it too old for one thing and too much money foe another.

Ann, I hope to sleep better tonight too hope I will too after not sleeping at all last night.

Loved seeing all pictures of your pets, they are so cute and very funny, they make me smile.

Mary, thanks for the sympathy on the tooth situation. No I won't sell the first born ( the only born), but years ago, I would have given him away!!! LOL. I sure hope your trip is uneventful and a safe one. Amanda Panda may show DH a side that has never been seen!! Hope not.

Darius, hope your trip is the uneventful kind. What a treat, stopping at Patischell's. Hope if you stop at sis's that it will be a pleasant stop, no fireworks. My older sister and I are sort of like that, water and oil, has been all our lives. Although, she called on Tuesday night and asked if they (she and DH) could take us out to eat on Sunday. This is because I did some legal work for her which would have cost her about $2,000.00 had she gone to an attorney. So do you think a $20.00 steak evens the score?

VA, our church has a ministry that gives food to those who need it. Money to pay utility bills, and emergency medical bills. I was somewhat surprised at those who need those services, but understand that relatives sometimes are not able/willing to help. That sure was a good article. You deserve to retire and pursue other interests. Hope your successor will get it together, and spend more time on the real issues rather than administrative issues.

Meezer, Why was Sammi in time out? Not being bad, surely not!! Glad that he endured his vet visit. My Persian is drinking so much water. I have been sort of monitoring it the last few days. What could this mean? She normally does not drink much, but I find her at her water dish very often. Think I need to call the vet?

Sarv, stop beating yourself up with guilt. If you didn't enjoy house sitting and watching the girls last year, what makes you think that the situation will be better this year? I know, guilt is my middle name. But hang in there, you've said no, so stick with it.

Maria, hope you sleep well tonight. Know the feeling. Last night wasn't a good night for me either. Try not to confuse Samson tonight, and go to bed!!

101 give that wireless keyboard a good whack! That usually works for me and electronics, either that or a quick trip to the repair shop. How's them baby tomatoes? If it was 51 there today, better get out their little blankies for tonight!! LOL. I always tease DH about knitting sweaters for tomatoes in the cool spring. He knows how crazy I am!! He just grins, and goes on with what he is doing.

Well, my mouth is hurting, and my arm is aching, going to take a pain pill and go to bed. Do any of you have a pill that will prevent whinning about aches and pains, if so, please send a gallon jar of them. Seems like I need them.

Anybody know where I can get spoon tomatoes, there was supposed to be some in my getting to know you swap box, but they were all gone by the time they got to me. So, now I WANT them BAD.
LOL, It is a 'she has them' I want them too, kind of thing. Don't even know where we would plant them.

DH is in charge of the veggie garden and he plans what and where everything goes. So here I would come and want to plant ateeny tiny spoon tomatoe. Think I would get a look. Nah, just a where would you like them dear?????ROFLOL

Oz, I don't want one word out of you. I told DH what you said and he said he had been planning on using baling wire, that is what they used before there was duct tape. He should know, he's your age.

DH used to work at a horse ranch and sometimes the traveling rodeo would board their animals there. He said the bulls could easily jump a six foot fence. I'm sure he jumped pretty far, too! LOL
