Bloomin' Contest going to seed :)

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I have no idea what happened. We went out to buy a bunk bed and came home with a chocolate lab. LOL I have my camera here but my software and cable are at the other house with my computer. Ohhhhh noooo. I'll have to post a pic tomorrow when we go to the other house.

We had been talking about maybe breeding dogs again and this was too good of a deal to pass up and we also have a mate line up for her if we want to use him.

Phoenix, MD(Zone 7a)

OK I MAYBE able to wait for the picture but not sure---------
How old?
he/she?
Oh cannot wait!!!!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

We got another female. She is 12 weeks old, a great hugger and a kissie little girl. :) They were not selling well so the breeders dropped the price WAY down! I wish we could have taken more of them. They have a beautiful male to breed her with later if we want him.

Phoenix, MD(Zone 7a)

GO get him!!! LOL
I love puppies!!!

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

Hey, I can build you a nice kennel!
I built one years ago for a fellow that was going to breed Schuzers, I don't know about my spelling. He ended up raising Dashounds. If I remember right the kennel was for 6 females & 2 males. It was real fancy!
Where did this Lynchburg name come from ?
See why I use Country Gardens, it fits any business that comes along.
Except I cheated, our other business is Bernies Construction & Cabinets.

Oh my, no wonder DH never lets you go shopping. LOL

That is so wonderful... My DH is really scared of the amount of animals I am going to be able to fit on 14 acres.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

The male is not a puppy. He is an ox of a dog! He has feet the size of my fists and his nose is the size of a grapefruit! He is named Brutus and it fits! LOL He is a 2 year old chocolate lab.

They are down to 2 chocolate females, one black female and a black male. The poor mommy dog had a litter of 12! The price is down to $100 and they are papered AKC with champions in the blood lines. It was just meant to be.

Bernie, Lynchburg is where we live now. I think I have posted that at a minimum. I bet you could build me some beautiful stuff! The people we just bought from had a really nice barn and kennels! We also got to feed and pet their three horses and I think my kids were in heaven!

Chele, congratulations on the family addition. You just can't stop adding to the number can ya......

I have a friend and her chocolate lab wont walk on grass if its wet. It's the funniest thing to watch him avoid the grass when trying to relieve himself. They are truly beautiful dogs.

Hey how about heroic farms. OrThe Red S Farms....

LOLOL
We went out to buy a bunkbed and came back with a Lab.
Chele, in your SPARE time I think you need to compile this into a book, which will probably be turned into a movie...
you have enough energy and creativity and plain old goof for twenty regular people!!
(PS are you sure you didn't just feel sorry for the overwhelmed mommy dog?)

Phoenix, MD(Zone 7a)

I am just surprised she got ONLY one pup does'nt Bad like things in half dozens???

My suggestion

"Fineline Farm"...or "Fineline Gardens"

For the girls..and the dogs
as in a fine breeding line...and because it is on the county line.

Naming a business is so tough; just went through this myself!
All I can think of, and maybe this was mentioned already (?), is:

Meyer Maids Nurseries (or some variation of nursery/garden/farm)

I can even picture a logo with a female child holding a bloom to a puppy's nose......okay, maybe I'm getting carried away here, lol.

LOL Badseed is about out of energy! Send in the reinforcements.

I got up this morning, put on coffee and ran out the door. My daughter was kind enough to bring me a cup when it was done. By 9:30 I had 30 something daylilies, some stray lilies and half a dozen different iris planted, mowed around the pond, cleaned up all my mess and locked up outside. By 10:30 I had all the kids packed up, had my shower, loaded the kids and two labs into the car and headed for the old house.

We stopped for donuts for 2 of the kids and ibuprofen for me. :) Then we had to stop and get the rest of us happy meals. We made it to the pediatrician in time to pick up vaccination records before they closed at noon. I can't tell you how many times I heard that they could not start school without all their records. Geesh!

We arrived at this house and spent a few hours packing then I headed outside. I guess I dug up a couple thousand bulbs, a few dozen iris, some daffs, some sedum and dahlia roots. I spent a lot of time raking leaves and cleaning up outside. Tomorrow I have a another couple dozen plants to dig up then I can put everything back together here. I guess we will rent one more moving truck next week and that should pretty well clean us out of here. Then I still have painting and cleaning to do. Sigh.

We are off to the grocery for a quick no-cook dinner, then I am going to hit the shower and put my feet up. I have one heck of a headache and we all have really nasty colds. The joys of parenting I suppose. :)

Oh, I'll post a pic of the new puppy later. We have decided to name her Liberty. The kids call her Libby. She is such a great little doggie!

Gamleby, Sweden(Zone 7a)

hey hey hey.......back that up a bit.............................quote:: loaded the kids and two labs into the car and headed for the old house. ????
did you or did you not buy ONE puppy.............where did the TWO labs come from??
Could you not resist the big chocolate Brut or what??
With your pace there will not end to all new additions..........pretty soon you have a couple of horses and some cows to :0) etc etc etc
It will be darn Hard to name that farm/nursery/cray pond/hair salon/ a.s.o.
I got a perfect name for you
NEVER ENDING FARM
Janett

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Janet I like that one...lol "Never ending Farm"

Donna

Vegas,NV Filbert, SC(Zone 7b)

Maybe she had one previously and we just missed that part, but I am curious about that also..

I am thinking she will have the chicken coop with a full flock by spring and what is an extra couple of mouths in the shape of a goat or cow, the horse will be showing up once the girls see the fowls come spring....

Casey

Gamleby, Sweden(Zone 7a)

Not only that regarding the ""Never Ending Farm"" in previous treads she has mentioned that their is ?? acres that she can add/buy to her 7 1/2 acres if she runs out of space !!!
With her rampaging true the property with planting and bedding and chicken coop " to be " and now with the kennel prospect , come next fall,........heck when she has sold the old house she will probably lay a down payment on the surrounding acres to ROTFLOL

I thought I felt my ears burning! LOL

We already have/had a lab/cocker mix. She is black and her name is Nina. She is the reason we decided to go with a lab.

Here is our new puppy, Liberty.

Oh! We were told horses are cheap right now and yes, we would LOVE to have one or two. Unfortunately we still are paying on two houses (and two cars), our field has not been bush hogged yet and we will still need fencing. But soon...

Vegas,NV Filbert, SC(Zone 7b)

Chele, my Nina is a cocker also. No lab in her though....pure breed...

How about just Meyer's. You are going to have so many things going on you might want to keep it simple. LOL

Phoenix, MD(Zone 7a)

awwww i have been waiting to see "Liberty" Great face!!! so happy for you guys! wwo you gotta lot to handle but i have no doubt you will do it well!!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Keep it simple? LOL Me?? I was telling hubby we could have big cursive L's embroidered on our shirts like Laverne on Laverne and Shirley. LOL

Your Nina is so pretty. I like Cocker Spaniels too. I pretty much like all the Spaniels. The vet warned us our Nina might be a nippy because of the two breeds but she has been a great dog! We got her at a puppy rescue. Most people think she is s a lab puppy. She looks like a lab but smaller and thinner and has more dainty feet. The puppy has feet more twice the size of her's. It is hard to get a good pic of her without her eyes looking like green lights. LOL Here is my Nina.
