Bloomin' Contest going to seed :)

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

We still haven't absolutely settled on a name for the new farm and the post didn't slip away into Davedom somewhere so here is a second thread for anyone that still wants to play.

Continued from here: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/553482/

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

I like to play!
I am ging to play in the wood shop for a while. (Building an enteryainment center for a customer.)
Then it's out to plow some of the field. This soil must be tilled in the fall or it won't be fit to plant in next spring.
Late afternoon it's off to the wood supplier, 90 miles away to pick up wood for projects. We are actually getting our own kitchen cabinets finished! It's only been 2 years!
Have a great day!

Floral and Hardy is very cool. If it's in Canada, you could probably use the name in the US.

Chele' .. ya know, you've purtee much hit your own nail on the head, with >
" Going to Seed " Farms & Nursery, kiddo ...

Jes how genuinely original can it get !! .. And what do so many nurseries & plant stores do during their 'off' season .. hmmm ?

And, no doubt, it certainly rolls off the tongue easily enuff ..

How easy is it for most any of us to recall the 'letters' of the many railroad lines(?) ... Think about it: .. GSF&N .. Besides, it's got a portion of your 'call' name in it also!!

And it can always be shortened a wee bit, for a logo, your sign, invoices, receipts, telephone book listing, & stationary, etc. .. " Going2Seed "

That one's sure nuff adorable too, Janett!! Speshally, the 2nd line - quite original !!

Heck, I'm beginnin' to think that Chele's deliberately holdin' out on us .. (hee) ..
That rascal's probably already made her mind up, days ago .. and, has already designed & having her sign made while we speak (rather, type! yet more ideas) .. and then, she'll post a pic of her wonderful new sign after it's installed; thereby, breakin' the news to us .. gently!! .. LOL .. ( .. ahh, jes luvinly razzin' ya a bit, Badseed .. )

Can only imagine you guys are getting things wrapped up with your move to the new place, tidying the old place for the sales market, & getting those beautiful gals enrolled and started in their new school, etc. .. among the few other lil ditties & doin's that you guys are involved in!

Hello! Michele is definately not holding out. LOL Michele is too pooped to think straight! We came up to the new house on Wednesday. Our moving trailer was picked up and dropped off on Tuesday. Hubby and the kids got it unloaded after I helped with the big stuff and the left me the afternoon to move around dirt and plant a ton of stuff.

I have about 90% of what I wanted moved now. Of course a lot of it is still in pots or sitting bare root in a cool garage. I have expanded the bed around the pond to hold more stuff at least until spring. I don't have time to dally right now.

Cable and wireless internet are in at the new house now which is where I am writing from right now. We ran down to the other house, took care of some stuff, picked up more stuff and returned. The kids and I are going to spend the weekend boxing and bagging whatever is left then we'll still have to finish up some remodelling stuff, paint, etc. Then we can get the house on the market. Wish us luck!

As far as the name, I have kind of considered something really simple like "Michele's Bloomin' POT" with "Perennials on Turner" in small letters under the pot. I am still reading the posts when I get a chance and will settle on a name shortly. I'd like to get a website set up soon so I can work on it at while it is cool outside.

Thank you and take care. :)

Merrimac, WI(Zone 4b)

Be careful, people might just start referring to your place as "The Pot Place!"

Michelle so glad that you are still going strong although I don't think you realize it anymore. Hopefully things will settle down, and I have my fingers crossed that your house sells in record time. The market here is unbelievable. If your lucky it will be just Vegas and you should get an offer in a hour or less. LOL (and no I am not kidding)

OH, and if you realize you managed to take more you wanted just put them aside and I will take them for my property. LOL

Casey

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL Casey! I know will be moving to totally different climat than you have now. I am sure I can find a plant or ten for you when you settle. :)

Things may have just taken one heck of a turn...

Where do I start? LOL

Have any feelings about :

Lynchburg Labs and Lillies?
Lynchburg Lillies and Labradors?
Meyers Lillies and Labs?

Is this a story I need to tell? It ends with chocolate...

Other close calls are:

Triple L (for lillies, ladies and labs)
L & L (for any combo of the above

Phoenix, MD(Zone 7a)

OK fine I am happy with all but where are the Labs and their cute fuzzy faces??? Did you get some cute chocolate pups???
