Dave,
The pic across the top and the tabs to the PF and WD etc...(everything in the first row) is coming up as boxes with the dreaded red X....the second row of tabs are fine.
Vicki

Edited to say: They're back now, maybe it was my machine!!!

Thanks for the report.

A few oddities will come up, so please post them if you find 'em!

dave

(This server sure seems faster to me, too!)

Hi Dave, I can't see any images on the forums :)

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Hey, I had to delete my toolbar bookmark and install a new one... old one woudn't let me back to DG, Got this:

Quoting:
Warning: mysql_pconnect(): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'lion' (111) in /www/garden/inc/common/db_mysql.inc on line 53
Database error: MySQL Connect error: Cannot use database
MySQL Error: ()
Session halted.

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

No images for me, either.

Central, KY(Zone 6b)

I can see the images in the several forums I checked, retyping the address in the address bar rather than using my Favorites bookmark seemed to take care of it for me.

Thank you Dave, it sure seems to be faster!!

The images are coming in fine for me.

When you have a missing image, please refresh the page.

If that does work, hold the shift key down while refreshing.

If that still doesn't work, give me the URL to the offending page.

Congratulations! I have some pix but not all. Like in PlantFiles, the first three or four (pretty!) pix come in, but the #5 - n are all red Xs.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I am missing pictures here and there on each forum. Some show up, but most don't, even when I refresh (including holding the shift key while refreshing the page).

Ahh, I see the problem now.

I'm fixing it - might take 15 minutes.

Hey, Dave, you forgot the part about sticking out your tongue to the left of your mouth as one of the last resorts. It usually works for me. lol!!

:)

Mirpur (A.K), Pakistan(Zone 9b)

I was trying to sending mails but faced problems then I came to know you are working on the server.
The speed is much better now.
Thank you Dave you are so quick, just only in 15 minutes......
Wow.....
Kaleem

Pictures should be all working now!

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

Fantastic! Thanks Dave :)
I can't believe the speed particularly as I'm newly on ADSL too, screen changes in a flash!
All that I've tried is working like a dream
:oD

Spokane Valley, WA(Zone 5b)

The site is zooming here in the Inland Northwest. WOW! :)

Central, KY(Zone 6b)

Under the News tab, the Today's DG Newsletter, Today's PF Newsletter and the Past DG Newsletters aren't working...here's the page I got for Today's DG Newsletter

Edited: LOL, you're just too fast Dave, they're working now :-)

This message was edited Oct 11, 2005 2:50 PM

It'll slow down a bit today while I'm in there working on it.

In other words, it'll be inconsistent a bit.

dave

The newsletters are fixed now.

Quoting:
--- temple.standardout.com ping statistics ---
94 packets transmitted, 94 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 15.121/18.250/35.686/2.447 ms

Oh yeah! That's what I'm talkin' about! :D

Zippidy do dah, zippidy aye,
my oh my,
Dave is making my day.
The site is so fast now,
what can I say?
zippidy do dah, zippidy aye!!

mg

Paul, it helps to be living just a few miles from the servers, eh? :-)

I'm getting 24ms here, which is still great! :-)

dave

Gamleby, Sweden(Zone 7a)

Dave. Tell trish to ignore the mail she got from me. suddenly nothing about daves garden worked. there was not the usuall server is down so I freaked :0) lol
Janett

Irving (Dallas area), TX(Zone 8a)

LoL, I guess so! BTW, that ping was on a wireless connection; I just tried it on ethernet and I get this:

Quoting:
--- temple.standardout.com ping statistics ---
101 packets transmitted, 101 received, 0% packet loss, time 100124ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 11.995/13.934/16.260/0.815 ms, pipe 2

So the wireless connection is the bottle-neck, hehe. This will cut down on my rose-entry-adding time. :D

I don't use a bookmark to come to dave's garden, I tend to type in the url and let the 'history' fill in most of it.... sometimes I type davesgarden.com, sometimes I type gardenwatchdog.com since that is how I learned about the site in the first place. I just noticed that the gardenwatchdog.com url is not working right now. Is there something that still needs to be straightened out?

Jomejamo

I was just working on those URLs. :) They should all be working now.

dave

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8b)

Janett, good thing you wanted me to ignore it...I didn't get an email!

:)

Is it "burping" for anyone else? Just in the last 15 mins or so, it will slow down, speed up, and page not found me.

Chat starts in an hour, will this be a problem? Can't tell where my priorities are, lol, now can you?

mg

Edited because the chat room is open now??

This message was edited Oct 11, 2005 4:09 PM

I opened the chatroom early so that we can test it, make sure it works on the new server arrangement.

I see two people are logged in already, so I presume it's working. :)

dave

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

I'm going right now to check ;o)

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)
