More Midwestern Lilies
Hurrah! Finally have 2 lilies open - one is an unnamed red asiatic and the other is Rosepoint Lace. I was hoping it was taller this year, but it's still kinda shrimpy.
Yea for you, Kooger!! Pictures? Pleeeeeaaase?! ;-)
in a minute, in a minute - just got home from work - patience patience LOL heading out now, then going for supper. DH thinks that's more important than flowers - what is wrong with his head!?! BRB
Supper before flowers?? I am appalled!!
Thanks for the pics, Kooger! Those are very beautiful!
I don't know what these men are thinking when they want to eat BEFORE we get to play in the garden. Mine is the same way! LOL
Your Rosepoint is especially pretty. Laying on the ground again for that one? ;)
pretty much, wonder if it's ever gonna get taller - it did throw up two stems and both have one bloom. (no Barney to be seen this time tho - he was trying to sniff out the rabbits under the shed) lol
Very pretty. What did he do ~ stick his head through the fence?? :)
Tazzy, your 'no tag' sure looks like my Royal Sunset.
Tazzy & all--LOVE the lilies! i hope this rain makes the ones I have in bloom declare themselves. Darn--too many of them misnamed and NOT Walker's fault THIS time!
Rubrum,
well i got some of it in frame this was a blind shot
very unhappy most are named wrong no tag or died
and i spent my wad on them last year,
because i knew with health and retirement
there would no wad this year or ever again ?
Oh well thats life ? remember the joke in the fifties
" Whats life "
-a magazine '
" what dose it cost " ?
- 25 cents
" I only have a dime ?"
- " THATS LIFE "!
After seeing Moby's Silk Road, I decided I must have one. I found a site, The Lily Garden, in Vancouver, WA, that has the bulbs. Has anyone ever ordered from them before?
Thanks, Cait
The Lily Garden is a great place to buy from. There was a co-op last year with them. I got some really nice lilies through it.
Mendy
Thanks Mendy. Cait
Jody - I may be wrong, but it looks like Lilium regale, check it out and see what you think.

Regale was my first thought also. Mine will be open soon...
I have the L. regale Album and it looked a lot like those except for the pinkish back on hers, I only got 1 bloom this year but man, did it smell good!!!
Sorry, I guess I am not in the Midwest, but had to post my silk road!!!! :)
lol That's OK, rosep! Didn't you know the midwest covers practically the whole country? ;)
