This is my Starter on this new thread, Thanks you Joseph for getting the ball rolling for us and I am so excited about this new Morning Glory season. I am looking forward to all the pictures you have to share with us and I am just so excited that "Sylvia" Minigranny got some of her seed to germinate. way to go Sylvia and we will be waiting for all your pretty pictures.....Where is Monterey and all his wonderful flowers..........So many of you I am missing this year and I am sure it is due to a late start and the bad weather we had....
But soon as you get a bloom let us know..........
........this is Keriyu again and it is a beautiful MG................I hope the spelling is right............
New Morning Glory 2005
Ohhhh, very pretty Ronnie..............this is one of the prettiest reds and such a nice big flower....
thanks for the photo and I hope we will see more of your beautiful flowers....
Tahnks again....
Beautiful blooms. Wish some of mine would hurry and bloom.
Wow,Pam what happened to that one. Did you dunk it in Pink Food Color???.................LOL .......Up close it has a Silky look to it, boy it sure is pretty.
Is this from seed you collected and if so do you think it could have crossed with something??? Let us know if it changes colors. I like the Pink though and just maybe you have something new.....wouldn't that be nice.
"Izumi" is beautiful, as are all the rest! Do all the Izumi flowers have that textured look to them? I am so hoping for some blooms on mine. Right now they are about 2" tall, so it will be some time yet. Plus I have some I just got planted a few days ago. For now I just keep coming here and admiring all yours.
Susan
Am so happy to see those beautiful colour of the blue and the softness of the pink. Thanks for sharing.
Love that first photo .... what great color!! Wow!!!
Susan, I am not sure what you mean by a textured look....?
Ronnie, your is very pretty!
Izumi bloomed today and the color is more purple - I did not take a picture because the bloom is not very photogenic...lol.
Gasp...................wow those are sooooo pretty. I need to get over and see them in person............Wow............I like the little brown and white one, so unusual...............
WoW...........got any more????...LOL
Could the last one be Kurerai? Sure looks alot like it......But I think yours is more ruffled.
Willow
Love your 'Izumi'.
If you get some seeds, I would love to make a trade with you.
Let me know, Nut4Spuds
Emma, my keyboard is wet from drooling. Will it short out on me? LOL
These are goooooooooorgeous. There I go drooling again.
Willowasp, we are gona have to do some trading for mg seeds. That blue is so lovely!
Moonlighting , the brown/white and big magenta--impressive. Gotta have those too.
;-)
Joanna all you gotta do is ask..............What ever seed I have you are more than welcome to...
The Tricificate Passie I got from you servived the terriable snow storm and freeze we had. I was afraid for awhile I had lost it.
When the seed start coming in I will let you know..
This photo is one I found on an old, old Postcard and I thought I would share it with you all. I think it is so peaceful looking....
How great that trifasciata can survive the cold! I have it in a large pot outside and it always returns. I just love that vine. We have had mild winters here, thank goodness.
Do you have Lady Margaret passionvine?
Gorgeous photos you all!! Zone envy creeping in, mine are just wee babies yet. Thanks for sharing with us all.
All your MG's are beautiful !! The colors are incredible :)
All these beautiful morning glories make me feel happy just looking at them. I love the Pale Pink Silk and the Lavender Silk ones especially. In checking my little seedlings this morning, I'm beginning to think my Blue Silk is not really Blue Silk. They are about 6 in. tall at this point, but there is no variegation on the foliage. I purchased these from a lady on Ebay, and I have a feeling they got mixed up. I really wanted Blue Silk, as it is one of my favorites.
Toukan, I am waiting for some better blooms of this one. It just started to blooms last week and seems as if all the blooms are like this one and don't want to open right...........so i will post this and try for a better one later. It is a little more pink than it shows in this photo so I have tried different settings and all seem to come on this color..............go figure........
Shirayuki, isn't this pittyful. The bugs must be using these blooms for target practice because they are all full of holes. I have sprayed them and then saw some butterflys around them so had to run get the hose and wash them off......what was I thinking???........oh well maybe I'll get some better photos later....
spelling error correction........
