Lemurophoenix has been added!
Can't add a new Genus
I'd like to add
Bikkia
Elizabetha
Swartzia
-Ron-
I forgot--I'd also like to add
Vochysia
-Ron-
Ron, I added the following genus names:
Bikkia
Elizabetha
Swartzia
Vochysia
However, I'd encourage you to research each species carefully before adding an entry, as some of these names recognized by GRIN and/or ITIS, and may be outdated synonyms at this point.
Terry,
could you please add the genus Austromyrtus in the family Myrtaceae
Ken
Austromyrtus has been added!
I need to add Pittocaulon (plants were included in Senecio until 5 years ago)
Pittocaulon has been added ;o)
Terry,
Could you please add a few more genera to the list:
in the Polemoniaceae
Navarettia
and in the Solanaceae
Anthocercis
Cyphanthera
Duboisia
thanks, Ken
Ken, if I'm not mistaken, the first one is spelled Navarretia (at least that's how Hortus lists it), and we have it in the comparative list already.
I've added the others:
Anthocercis
Cyphanthera
Duboisia
Thanks for all your contributions to PlantFiles (glad to see you back - I hope that means the surgery went well!)
Touche! I have had the name mispelled in my slide index since 1998. My books agree with you Navarretia.
Yes, the knee surgey seems to have gone well, but the healing process is slow and and I am still not fully mobile, and not yet free from pain from my knee, although I managed a 4 km walk yesterday
Ken
Re: the spelling - you weren't not alone in spelling it that way (and it *looks* more correct with two t's. Oh well.... ;o)
Glad to hear you're recovering well enough to walk that far (my mother-in-law had knee surgery several years ago, and struggles to walk more than a block or two. But then again, she didn't pursue physical therapy very aggressively, and I think that makes a big difference.)
I need to add Wallaceodendron (of celebicum fame)
Wallaceodendron has been added. (Sorry for the delay - I've been out of pocket all day, until a few minutes ago.)
Terry, please can you add a some more genera. Sorry it is rather a long list, bit I am working through the Asteraceae at present ( I have pictures of 394 species) and I thought I might as well check all the genera I have pictures of at the same time. Here are all the Asteraceae genera I have pictures of that are not at present found in the Plantfiles:
in the Solanaceae
Salpichroa
and in the Asteraceae
Centipeda
Chrysanthemoides
Cymbonotus
Ewartia
Gnephosis
Helminthotheca
Ixodia
Leptorhynchos
Leucochrysum
Myriocephalus
Pertya
Podocoma
Podolepis
Podotheca
Pterigeron
Reichardia
Schoenia
Sigesbeckia
Solenogyne
Urospermum
Vellereophyton
Vittadinia
Wilkesia
Ken
Ken, they've all been added.
By gee Ken you sure have a heap.
I need a new genus added--
Lomatophyllum
It's a close relative of aloes. Actually, they look just like aloes except from the wet tropics.

Ron, Lomatophyllum is already on the comparator list - you should be able to create an entry for it without any problems.
Please add:
Cactaceae 'Neoraimondia' sp.
Xenomorf, Neoraimondia was added this morning. With luck, I should also get some of your helpdesk reports knocked out today ;o)
Terry, I missed one in my long list of Asteraceae genera. Could you please add
Calomeria
to the list,
Ken
Calomeria has been added!
Wow, that was quick! Thanks Terry
Hello Girls!
I want to add 'Montiopsis sericea', an Andean portulacaceae, but the system does not allow it. Would you please enable it?
Thanks in advance.
Hugs,
Ursula
Montiopsis has been added!
Thank you, Terry!
I'm leaving to the mountains right now, so will enter the data later.
Hugs,
Ursula
