Those would definatly stop traffic!
I have never seen anything like that in gardens around here, but then there aren't many fanatics around either. I can spot them at the farmers market when selling plants. They have checkbook with no cover, except mud. Usually some very old muddy shoes, unkempt hair, old pants(haven't noticed any limegreen yet), & #1 thing, no kids tagging along.
I step right up & talk to them, it's amazing how much money they will spend with very little encouragement. Tell them it's a new plant or how nice it would look, blah-blah.
I personnaly think your specis should be preserved & multiply.
So don't call it an addiction, but a blessing.
Just a thought or two from an old plant grower!

Slump Down In Your Chair & Tell Me All About It.....
Twyla,
Bless your heart.... we're gonna have ta start calling you Lucy, as in Lucille Ball cause everything always happened to her. What you posted reminded me of the time she was in a cast from head to toe and had her arm sticking out sideways.
Jessica (Twylia's GD), keep her out of trouble the rest of the weekend!!!

ROTFLOL MSJen, MSJen!!!! At first I couldn't figure out what in the world it was a picture of... then I turned my head sideways and low and behold, feet!!!!
Don't feel bad Twila! When I was a kid my folks called me Calamity Jan! Now my boss deos, too! And here's part of the reason why:
Tuesday night I was having bad stomach cramps, and rather than running up and down the stairs every time I thought I might have to go to the bathroom, I decided to curl up on the couch. Since it was the middle of the night, I didn't bother to pull out the glass coffee table. I fell back into a deep sleep, and when another spasm hit, I jumped up to use the bathroom. I hit into the glass coffee tabletop causing it to tilt. I was still off balance, but I tried to grab it before it fell onto the side of the stone fireplace. Doing so I knocked over a chair which knocked over the fireplace equipment and bashed my knee into the sharp corner of the fireplace. That caused me to fall over, landing on the fireplace tools. What a mess! The whole thing probably took a mere moment, but it seemed to take forever... O0UCH!!! I have a severely bruised shin bone - swollen like an over stuffed pork sausage from about 2 inch below the knee down to my sprained ankle!...which looks like a red and purple football! Geesh - I seem to be on a real roll! LOL - if only I'd rolled!
Sequee - a positive note here, MSJen paid to have legs that looked like that!!!
(So sorry both you and Twyla must be in a great deal of pain!!)
MSJen, were do you wear such socks??? And with what?? You can tell I'm a backwoods country gal!!!
Judy
MSJen you wrote: Was telling the girls at work friday that i needed to start getting rid of my hoochie stuff, lol.
Do I dare ask about this word "hoochie"????
(Remember I live in an isolated, or should that be insulated, world. No TV, movies, newspapers ..... once in a while I listen to Public Radio or an Old Time Rock N' Roll radio station.)
Judy, where would i wear them? anywhere, lol...usually the only time i wear socks is when at work. but right now i'm off the the horse show, have on the blue ones, birkentstocks, levis and a t-shirt, lol. Only have the socks on cuz i dont want the red clay between my toes.
at any given time i have 2 or 3 pairs of shoes in my car, somewhere near the drivers seat because i cant stand shoes or clothes....the second i get in, the shoes come off, lol. been known to be unbuttoning my shirt while unlocking the front door.
hoochie, as defined by websters:
A derogatory term (noun) used to describe a female who dresses scantily or in a revealing fashion; in other words, she may dress like a wh**e or a prostitute. (no that word is not whale, white, whole,

ROTFLOL in regard to MSJen's explanation, very well thought out.
MSJen - You are a girl after my own heart - gotta have a shoe wardrobe in the car - ya jes neva know!
Clamity, after the coffee table - fireplace fiasco, were the stomach pains still a probelm. Inquiring minds want to know.
Love the socks, I think they would work in the book about Slim Jim Tucker!
LOL LOL! False alarm, and YES - this was the great cure all! More effective than Pepto Bismol; but perhaps a tad more painful!
You guys never cease to crack me up!
I love lurking through this thread, some good laughs!... but it "timed out" on me twice tonight on dial-up because it's gotten so long.

Jen, I can't believe I did this this morning, but I was pulling weeds still in my sleepshirt. Went out to look at something for a second and got sidetracked. I live on a major highway, but kinda partially blocked with azaleas/trees near road. I finally told myself I had to go get dressed before someone showed up in my yard. I don't usually go out like that. But I do have some jeans with a hole on the backside that I usually forget and wear all over town, sometimes the shirt may cover it. And yes, I admit to being just as plant crazy as the rest of you. It never ends. I think DH has finally given up.
Blooms,
I got them at the local tack/feed store here. I know they are also in one of my equine catalogs, I"ll look in the morning (durn, its morning again, lol) and let you know which one.
Nite all
geez, what 'amatter? everyone waiting for me to wake up this morning and say g'morn or something, lol
I got into the Contractor's truck on Friday afternoon to go to Home Depot for yet another batch of dirt for the raised bed. As I got in, I realized I'd been working all morning in my jammy bottoms! I was like, Hey, Loren - weren't you even going to mention this? He mumbled something about eccentricities - cute - who'd know - whatever... Oy...
And I left without buying one plant!!!
think the hospital woudl mind too much if i showed up in my "Twister" sleep pants, lol.
They are the cutest thing with yellow blue, green, and red circles, with hands in some, feet in others......loud, but cute, lol.
judy, are you going to start a 2nd thread? this has just been so much fun, and lately seems to be the things thats kept me laughing.
