Coffee and...part 11 :-D

Hi and WELCOME (and/or Welcome BACK!)

Here's my usual message...
"Our door is *always* open to anyone who cares to drop in and sit a spell, If you have any special goodies to share, just put 'em on the counter with the rest of our absolutely, positively, NO-cal supply! We'd Love to taste them! :-)"

Here's the link to our last session:

Spring has sprung...and it's time to be out in the yard. WHY are you inside reading this??? LOL Ahhhhhh, it's the coffee break!

~julie~

Muscoda, WI(Zone 4b)

Here's the mini-green house setup DH built for me. The 'bench' is attached to the side of a carport so that I can access the GHs from inside...in case it's raining (or snowing, as the case may be). And there's lots of storage under the bench for extras pots, containers and potting essentials. I already know I'm going to love this!

Julie, what a beautiful child with those heavenly blue eyes!
Maria

Muscoda, WI(Zone 4b)

Thanks Maria...She gets those eyes from my son...my Dad had the palest blue eyes I've ever seen...and both of my boys got them.

what a set up!! How do you keep the covers from blowing away? Cutie GD too - can't wait for a GD - only have a GS, but he is the most precious thing. I took care of him for years when he was a baby - phew glad that is over!!!

Muscoda, WI(Zone 4b)

LOL Sarv...the GHs are held down with wood screws and washers. The winds haven't bothered them at all. I'm really happy with the quality, especially for the price I paid.

Thanks for the compliment on the DGD...she really is the "Angel" her daddy named her. I was so afraid that any kid with the nickname of 'angel' would be precisely the opposite. :-D So afraid that I called her "Bean" up until I sat with her for the first couple of weeks. (Her real name is Angelina - I picked out the 'geli' part and added 'bean' to it.)

I've just come in for a hot cup of coffee...been outside planting some hollyhock roots, rhubarb and blackberries. It's pretty chilly out but the soil is workable and I'm piling pine needles on top of everything so it should be alright. (~crossing fingers here~)

~julie~

Man - where is everyone?? I have fresh coffee made with amaretto cream or french vanilla - pull up a chair. Sun is shining here and it will be a good day (TGIF)

Muscoda, WI(Zone 4b)

Sarv, I was just think the TGIF thots myself. LOL Not that it really matters much since DH and I are retired. I don't really know what set me on the TGIF track.

Yesterday was DH's 62nd birthday. I took him and one DS & DIL out for dinner last night. to celebrate. Before dinner we did a little shopping and of course walked out with more "stuff" to plant. (I can't help myself! I'm addicted!!! :-D)

Not sure what's on the agenda for today. I'll porbably plant those Lily of the Valley pips I got last night, and maybe pot up the cannas and dahlias that jumped into the cart before I could get out of the store. hehehe

Well...there's really not much more to say, other than to wish you all a GREAT day.

~julie~

(Zone 8b)

Morning all,
We have been really hectic since we got back from the UK. What with JetLag as well its been quite a week, poor DH has had the flu too. He must have picked it up on the flight I think. 10 hours of recycled air is great for spreading germs! I just hope I've missed it.
I've been trying to catch up with all of you, but boy do you girls chatter. I spent a whole day reading!
Thats a cute little Angel you have there Julie, hope she stays that way.
We have an important engagement tomorrow, I had a phone call from our 4 year old DGS inviting us to his first soccer match! With a reminder not to forget the folding chairs, "cos your old Granny an' you an' Granpa'll get tired just standing, 'cos we play for the longest time" Not sure whether to be flattered by his consideration or offended cos I'm thought of as old.
Darius hope the house hunt went OK, its always a stressful business. Lets hope it all works out for a long stay this time and the business gets going well.
Mary I bet you will be glad when the last lamb is safely here now. It must get very tiring night after night.
I think Spring is here now, I noticed a big change when we got back. Most of the dead looking sticks in the yard have green bits on them now, or else they are sprouting from the base. Oddest thing though, one of my pomegranites is in full leaf and the other just looks dead. Can't figure out why the weather should kill one and not the other.
I'm itching to get going on Tomato plants and melons now, but DH reckons
we should hold off for another week or two. I'm just impatient I guess!
Any more coffe in the pot girls? I need another kick start!

Carol

Muscoda, WI(Zone 4b)

CAROL!!! You're back! Super! Glad you had a good trip with the exception of that flu bug. (Nasty, ain't it?) Soccor, eh? :-D I'd take your DGS's comment to mean that he's thinking about you and your comfort. Of course, there might be something to that "old" part, as well. LOL Reminds me of my oldest DGD who was combing my hair when she was little. "Grandma, grandma...you're going BLONDE!" ....a few seconds later she says "Nope! It's gray." :-D I was hoping she wouldn't notice. hehehe

There are times when I envy you gals down south...this is one of them. But I think I'd opt to stay 'up north' when those saultry days of summer hit. One thing about Wisconsin...it's generally pretty cool here if you can find some shade to sit in. (I remember back in Okla that it was HOT even *in* the shade.)

Glad you're home safe and sound.

~julie~

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

WOW, congrats to everyone on their good news!! Now if we hear from Darius that she was successful in househunting, that will be the frosting on the cake. I'll take some of that coffee, Julie, I need it to wake up. Lost you all for a couple of days as my subscription expired and I didn't realize it until I couldn't get into anything.....just another senior moment in a long series of them....lol.

Since I last visited I took down those miniblinds our bedroom, cleaned them, wrapped them up and put them in the basement in case I ever lose my mind and put them up again, or if we should sell this house and the new owner would want them. They looked great after a good soak in the jacuzzi, but I resisted the temptation to put them back up. Put up room darkening shades because our neighbor's garage lights are on all night and shine right into our bedroom. Also found a great buy on drapes for the side windows by the fireplace, looked into other options, but with the drapery hardware already up these are perfect! They were at Penney's Warehouse in the returned goods dept., marked down from $339.00 to $56. Woohoo!! Now I have light and privacy. I feel victorious. I knew if I haunted that dept. long enough something would turn up....(4 years later....hahaha)

GS and wife coming over tonight, he insists I have to teach her how to make meatballs ...Good grief! As if that's an exact science!! I usually wing it but I suppose I'll have to be a tad more precise for her benefit! Made pasta yesterday, dragged out the old hand crank machine, which was my mother's, and my little drying rack, which is just a bunch of dowels cut to fit and assemble as you need it, Sampled some for lunch, yum! Forgot how much fun it is to make your own.

My dad used to make his own, especially for ravioli...started out with one of those little wavy cutters, and made them 2" x 2", as he got older and less willing to fuss, they became larger and larger until at the end he was using a saucer for the "template" and two of them was a meal!!! He could have been a chef, he had the right attitude, "Bring me this" "Get me the spatula" etc. and expected the "staff" (me and mom) to do the dirty work... fetching and cleaning up.

Julie, the greenhouses look fantastic! Weather went downhill after the weekend but all those storms went right around us...and headed for Sarv!! Julie, I don't think I have the patience required to deal with a toddler for more than an hour...I'd have them duct taped to the wall by the time a parent arrived to take them off my hands! Also, DH just reminded me that the wedding weekend coincides with the RU, so that's not an option for me. I kept thinking April, until I mentioned the RU to him.

Here's my 83% off bargain of the month!

M5, I LOVE to make pasta... it's SO easy and tastes so wonderful!

Love the new drapes...

My sister and I are going back to TN tomorrow for a second look at one property. May be a possibility... : )

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

M5- drapes look beautiful!! Good thing I can't figure out how to post pics - my house is always in such disarray!! Plus the whole thing looks so dated - I really need to gut it and start over, butttttt.... I've always wanted something brand spankin new - maybe the nursing home I will move into will be new LOL

I'm going thru my bored stage of the year - made it thru the cold months, now just am soo antsy about getting going outside. We were teased with two nice days, now it is back to cold. Plus that, most of my friends have time shares in Cancun and they fly out today and I feel left behind. Maybe next year... DS took off today for Cabela's - sports store that I want to visit - 3 hr drive . He asked his dad to go and he said NO - I am so mad at him as I would have gone along. DH is not a hunter at all and really not much of a fisherman either! He said he would rather go to work - is he crazy????

I need to take those filthy mini blinds down this spring- got any secrets to share? I ususally just put the in the bathtub lined with towels and scrub after a good soak.

Still house looking Darius? I'd vote on the one with the big front porch. Just sitting there in your rocking chair with a good book - ahhhh sounds like heaven to me!

Waiting for a news update on the pope - they say death comes in threes...speaking of which I have to go to a funeral tomorrow~~not my favorite thing to do, but a necessity.

take care all!

Muscoda, WI(Zone 4b)

A jacuzzi!!! Why didn't *I* think of that...a washing machine for mini-blinds! M5, I was wondering what happened to you. Thought maybe you took a cruise to the Bahamas and forgot to tell us about it (we would only drool anyway hehehe) I'm glad you can't go to the RU in IA...well...not exactly 'glad'. But since I can't go now either, I'd really feel left out if you could. ;-)

Your windows look GREAT! And you got a really deal on the drapes. (I love it when that happens!) That homemade pasta sounds fabulous. I've never done it myself, but my ex DIL made great noodles. Oh...and thanks for the compliment on the greenhouses! I just love them and can't wait to fill 'em up.

Hi Darius! I hope the house hunting is going well...and that this one you're going to see turns out to be something you and your Sis can work with.

Hi Sarv...you're getting antsy too, eh? Don't feel alone...your 5A is probably pretty much the same as my 4B S - L - O - W to warm up. But I'm digging into the mulch and finding the most wonderful things GROWING! :-D It feels SO good to be getting my hands dirty again. LOL

I spent the day mostly walking around the yard, moving mulch and checking on my perennials. I did recheck my winter sown containers and now have 31 containers going great guns! This is really exciting for me. I really wasn't sure what to expect but, so far, everything looks as good as the things I've started indoors with heat mats and lights.

Does anyone know if sedum (Autumn Joy-type) will self seed? IF not, does anyone have some they'd like to share with me? LOL (I think I'm going to begging, borrowing, and stealing tall sedum this year!)

Guess I'd better go clean up that kitchen...it seems my virtual coffee-breakers don't know how to wash up all those cups. LOL

~julie~

south central, WI(Zone 5a)

HI,
Julie what an Angel and love the greenhouses. We got the storm, heavy rain and hail. Little damage, but I got a very cold soaking........ What you got to trade for tall sedum-have some Autumn Joy and another brighter pink-maybe Neon-but not marked. Happy to see things breaking dormancy and a few snow crocus are open.
Okus, enjoy the soccer...Too bad only really young and "old" folk can enjoy ice cream LOL
M5-great deal on the drapes, will have to haunt the stores, the living room drapes need replacing, but they cover the whole front-so tab drapes would take forever to close and I haven't seen pull ones on sale. Will probably have to have someone do them.sigh.
Darius, good luck with the house hunt, have fond memories of TN
Sarv-minis are a pain to clean, I tried and did a little bending; had the pros do them and much of the texture that they carried was "cleaned off" but at least they were not bent.
I am collecting stuff that I have tucked all over for a garage sale that Kindred Spirits is holding. They are developing a free spay/neuter program (Based on the BestFriends no kill shelter in Utah). Cannot believe how much stuff I have saved over the years, presents from family, carving from last fiance' (hope that brings Lots of $$$$$$), artwork that needs a new home. So very happy that it goes to a place that focuses on a program dear to my heart. Need to get to more packing.
Hi, to all that pop in ...spring May have hit WI!!!:) :) :)

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Hi all, can't believe training is over, passed the last test with 92%. What a relief! Now i have to spend 5 hrs 'on the floor' tomorrow night to make up 5 hrs. of what i missed on Wed. I went 1 hr early yesterday and today and stayed an extra hr this aft, so that finishes up the total 8 hrs missed. The Sprint contract requires 80 hrs. training, so that's why we have to make it up before we start on Mon. morn. I've been told Sat. night can be crazy, many more obscene calls and emerg. calls too. I'm quite nervous about that!! This aft. I had 2 TTY to TTY calls (that's non-hearing person to non-hearing person) and most CAs get 1 in 3 or more months! of course i had no clue how to process it. I had my first credit card call too - got help to talk me thru that one... i feel rather overwhelmed with all the different commands and when to press which one. At this point, i just figure i'll concentrate on getting the call thru to the right person with the right lines open, TTY or Voice or VCO or HCO and worry about the right order of commands gradually. I accidently hung somebody up today. OOPSIE!!

That Angel is a dolly for sure! They're just so much fun at that age - if you can recover from the exhaustion, of course! lol

Congrats on the drapes! They look great! Don't you just love it when you find a great deal like that?

I have extra sedum too - mine is the pink kind - here's a pic from last fall. LMK if you'd like some. They're already up so I can dig out a hunk anytime.

Can't hardly believe the rabbits have only nibbled on a few tulips. Usually they eat them down to the ground. grrrrrr! I am SOOOOOOO anxious to see them blooming - some are from Alice's coop. One bunch of 35 I paid about $4 for because i had a $25 coupon from somewhere. I think it was Breck's.

I better go rustle up some grub for the family. later all! have a good weekend!!

darius, beautiful victorian cottage for sale here. Has an old store in the front yard that is now been renovated into a separate rental unit. Big lot. House needs work but is eligible for the National Register and they you could get big tax credits for rehab work. $130,000.

Muscoda, WI(Zone 4b)

Marcia...I don't have much to trade in my yard yet. There *might* be a little Thalictrum....no, no, no...! I *got* that from YOU! LOL There's still lots of moss...and I just might be able to find some really cool ones (if I hurry to the abandoned lot before it gets sold. hehehe). Then there's the cannas, the daylilies, the seedling/transplants but that's going to take a little while yet. Gee...guess there's really not much here after all. :-D

Kooger! I'm SO excited for you! Congratulations, lady! I don't think I have what it takes anymore to remember all those commands. At one time, maybe...but now all the extra brain cells are busy trying to remember seed germination times, where to plant what, and what I need to fill in where. LOL

That sedum is positively gorgeous! Are you sure you really want to dig part of *that* one out? I think I'd be the one who would want to let grow "one more year" just to see what it looked like *this* year. :-D

Hi Betty!

Thanks you guys...I think Angel is a little 'angel' too.

~julie~

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

I've moved parts of this sedum before - little ones start up a few inches from the momma so I give them away or move them. There's another on the west side of the house so there's certainly enough for sharing.

Thanks for the congrats all..... We don't get surveyed for 3 months now so we have that time to become proficient (hopefully). I'm doing better than the 35 yr. old but not as well as the 20 yr old. The 35 yr old is a single mother of 3 - 14, 11 and 6. She is seriusly deciding whether she should accept her boyfriend's proposal. He told her he would marry her if she bought him a $15,000 Harley. The fool is actually considering it!! Can you believe it?? We gave her our opinions of him, rather vehemently, i might add. Every break she had to call him or he would be mad at her. She never could go for lunch with us because she always had to run home and see him and call him (he lives next door) His son asked her the other day how soon she was getting the bike. Boggles my mind!! Can't believe a woman could be so dense - I told her to think of her kids and their future with a dad like that!!!!!!! She came back from every break and lunch late because of him. The trainer told us today when she was gone, that she won't last at this job because you can only be late so many times and you're history. Sad, really, to think someone is willing to lower themselves that far.

nitey nite time. have a good one all. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...........

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I went dumpster-diving! I work at a cemetery and found a live, potted easter lily, in full bloom, in the dumpster. The pot was missing so I just set it in the back of my station wagon and drove home. They were the first thing I ever grew when I was 14 so I wanted this one for sentimental reasons. Can't beat the price!

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Morning, Friends : )

My sister and I are leaving in a little while, back to TN for a second look at a property that we are seriously considering. We'll be back here tonight as she has to leave for Florida in the morning. We won't be able to make an offer (if we still really like it) for a week or so, as she has a couple glitches in her credit report to clean up.

It's a commercial building, 5,000 square feet and half of it is is a loft above the store floor that we'll convert to living quarters. I'm really excited about the possibilities, a blank canvas for the living space and a wonderful storefront area for the backyard bird feed & houses business we are planning to open. It's in the historic "tree street" area of Johnson City (all the streets have tree names) and about a mile or less from the university.

There's not much land... the bldg. is 27.5 feet wide and about 100 feet long, and the lot is 27.5 x 140'. The 40' in back is parking and maybe a place for a 3' x 40' garden area along one side. Cannot make it all yard as there is no on-street parking, and the roll-up door in back is for deliveries.

I'm taking my camera and will post photos if we're still excited about it!

Have a great day Everyone!!

Muscoda, WI(Zone 4b)

Kooger...I've seen women behave like that, more often than I care to admit. I think they're more desperate than they realize. I guess in some respects her situation isn't really all that different from the way Angel's mom is acting. Somehow they get something into their head that won't let logic (OR their children!) weigh in on their decision. I hope someone can talk some sense into her before it's too late...for her *and* for her kids.

About the sedum...I'd be positively *delighted* to get some starts from your plant. I love the pink flowers on that one and have a perfect spot for it. Just let me know when you're ready to dig it up, I'll send you postage beforehand, Okay?

Betty...that's a pretty good discovery. I don't think I could have passed that one up either. Just the thought of it blooming in the dumpster is symbolic of what Easter is all about. What a treasure you found there.

Marcia, I'm still wracking my brain for trade items for some of your sedum. Have you updated your tradelist lately? Maybe I can get some ideas there.

Nothing earthshaking going on for me today...at least not yet. It looks like it's going to be another beautiful day outside. Maybe I'll sow some of those seeds I have downstairs marked "Direct sow as soon as the soil can be worked". And just maybe I'll put those flats in my greenhouses.

No matter what I'm going to do today...I'd better get started on it.

See y'all later...
~julie~

(Zone 8b)

Kooger, Thrilled its working out for you - its very good for the self esteem to succeed where younger people struggle! Your colleague needs a wake up call though, some women seem to like being bullied by their menfolk but I have never understood it. If she does buy the bike whay makes her think he will actually marry her, he may well postpone it for years anyway. Will he throw her out when the bike packs up, as it will in 3 or 4 years? Marriage is about life time commitment and caring not temporary profit! Oh dear I'm on the soap box again!!:>)
Well done on that dumpster rescue woodspirit - hope it rewards you with lots more bloom.
Darius hope it all works out for you, I'm looking forward to your photos, but will you be able to live without a decent size yard?
Of to THE soccer match now. I'm taking the camera so I might just bore Y'all to death when I get back!! :>)

Carol, how was your trip to the UK? I posted back just before you left to let you know some of the places we have been, it must be now a thread ot two back.

And, Kooger, women are so very desperate some times, they do most any dumb thing that comes to mind, wonder why they always need someone rather than be self sufficient. It is nice to have a friend but not for monetary give aways.

About sedum, I have rooted some of it in just plain water, came out perfectly after planting.

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Congrats Kooger, we knew you could do it. Pretty soon all those buttons will be automatic and you won't even have to think about it. What's wrong with that girl? If he's that controlling, wait 'til he gets that bike under him. What's next, a smack when she doesn't kowtow to his next request? And what's he doing sitting there all day waiting for phone calls and lunch visits? No job? Yechhhh. But you can't tell them a thing, because they aren't using their heads, just their ....never mind. LOL

That pink sedum is glorious!! My autumn comes back every year, so far, which reminds me I should get out there and cut down the dead stuff so the new growth can get some of this sunshine.

Darius, better check out that Victorian....when they are historic sites you can get gov't $$$ to do restoration, and the resale value on them is great. The one you just took a second look at sounds good too but I keep thinking about stairs...up and down up and down

Free lily in the dumpster, that's my kind of shopping!!! My girlfriend and I used to cruise up and down the ritzy neighborhood streets on trash day, and see what we could find.....LOL I almost wanted to switch careers and become a garbage person...but I'm pretty sure the newbies get the ghetto!!

Marcia, I get out to Penney's about once a month...I can keep an eye open for drapes or curtains for you if you like, just give me measurements. I could send pics even. They have a huge selection of returns, all sizes and colors, and all have been custom ordered so they are high quality. I went again Friday, (earlier in the week when I got the drapes I thought their sale on bedding had started but it hadn't) and it was an absolute madhouse!! Like you see in the movies, hordes of women crowding around the shelves and door where they were *trying* to bring out more stock. Some women had shopping carts piled so high, they were in danger of avalanching. They had sheet sets for $19.95, with two pairs of pillow cases included, and nice oversize quilts for the same price. Picked up sheets for my DIL too.

I'm antsy too Sarv but I've learned my lesson about getting stuff out too early. And I hate the sun coming in on that low angle that shows all the dust and crumbs I've missed on every flat surface!

Those "decorative" branches I picked up last week at the H&G show are sprouting leaves...hope they throw out a few roots too! Now I'm going out to see what else is popping up out of the ground. Spring at last!!!

Taylor Creek, FL(Zone 10a)

Howdy, Julie and all. I was lured here by Julie and have already got a dozen???s Kooger what is this new skill/job?
I am a recovering co-dependent and it is terribly sad to see this girl is very Co-dependent ! Ssssssshe needs an intervention of some kind.
This sounds like a serious job for such an obviously stupid woman to have.
As I have been VERY stupid in the past, you can tell her it is possible to live without a man, and often alot more fun.
Please tell her all of this for me. I would surely like to talk to her for at least an hour.
Julie, you are getting to do what few us of get an opportunity to do, and that's nuture a little mind. What a DOLL.
Those greenhouses look great. What a sweet DH to be so in touch with your passion for the garden.
Sidney

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I call this co-dependancy the "Cinderella Syndrome." Young girls and women think they are going to be swept off their feet by the perfect man and live happily ever after. I swear teen-age girls are really in love with the notion of love.

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

sugarweed - welcome! The new job is relay operator for the deaf, hard of hearing and non-speaking people.

Regarding the co-worker's boyfriend, he has a job, makes $16/hr. , and says if she buys this Harley for him, it proves to him that she loves him. Yuck!

Remind me in a couple of weeks, julie and i'll get that sedum out to you. Make that next weekend, it's already up but I have no time to dig it today or tomorrow.

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Good thing I never ran into one lilke that, Kooger, I would have been arrested after what I did to him, LOL

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Some females are just sickos - my mother taught us girls to never depend on a man (she was left in the lurch with two small kids, one of which wasn't even born yet) When she asked for help, the judge told her she was able bodied- to get a job. Now she had no car, no money etc. She hired a housekeeper to stay with us and walked to work, sometimes not eating because there wasn't enough to go around. She is my idol!!! Now, I do depend on my husband, but not for my livelihood - in fact, I've always made more than him!!

Went to a funeral today and had a grand time. It was the mother of a dear friend. She was 86 yrs old and lived a wonderful life - loved by many. We told so many funny stories!! She will certainly be missed, but she would have loved the party we had for her. She was only sick for a short time, thank goodness.

Worked on the greenhouse today - if there is no wind tomorrow, we'll pop it on the base and secure it. I can hardly wait!!

M5- I have rough sawn pine walls in our lower level and talk about cobwebs!! It is awful - I need to take a broom to the walls. When my sons notice the webs, it must be really getting bad!!

Clock gets set ahead tonight- what a stupid idea. It takes me weeks to catch up on that silly hour!!

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

lol, Sarv, I know what you mean about changing the hour I am the same way takes me forever to get used to, almost like a jet lag.

Your mother is quite the woman mpre power to her. My youngst son, he will be 35 next month told me before he was married he will never marry a girl who has to depend on him for lively hood, she must be educated and be capable of earning a living, and he did. She is a lovely young woman now also the mother of my 6 year old GD and is a copy writer for well know authors such as Ken Burns from the PBS fame.

okus,
I love it when they are at the age where who you cheer for doesn't matter as much as just cheering! We should all strive to cheer more.
kooger, tell her buying that bike will only prove what a stupid spineless fool she is and that she is dealing with a control freak. He wants to cut her off from everyone now, thus the constant phone calls. Okay I'll shut up about that.
You're job sounds like a real chalange. You'll do great at it and you can plan on being embarrassed too.
Ya'll are very nice group of coffee drinkers here. I actually just got a fresh cup.

We survived our trip to TN and back today despite 3 high mountain passses with unexpected driving snow and some accumulation plus gusts of over 50 mph. Took the long way home (2 extra hours) to avoid those passes in the dropping temps this evening...

We still like the commercial bldg. and if crunching the numbers pans out as I imagine, we'll make money on the building as well as the business, and maybe be able to buy a real house in a couple of years and lease out the top floor which is street level on the back alley with [parking. Hey, 5,000 square feet with half already totally redone (elec, plumbing, heat pump, drywall, roof, etc) in the last 3 years and the other half needing some renovation but in a very good location all for $90,000 seems a bargain to me!

Oops... forgot the photo... The white house to one side is being torn down, too rotted to salvage, and the adjacent brick building on the other side is the exec. offices of the locally famous "Firehouse" restaurant just past their parking lot not shown in the photo.
