Hey!!!! Where'd the MOUNTAIN come from??? LOL

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

HAH!
Looks like a Texas size herd of Prarie Dogs have been hard at work ...... lol

Winnetka, CA(Zone 9b)

very nice touch :-)

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

OK, I've got to show you what I see out my kitchen window every morning. I don't suppose it would fit in that lovely meadow at the top of this page.

Wow! Very nice shot. Is that the Coastal range, Carol?

Those mountains up top look like Appalachians to me....lol

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Well, it's Seward, Alaska's coastal range, at least one of them. This is the mountain we can see from our diningroom/kitchen window. The picture was taken this winter. By summer most of the snow will be gone.

Payneville, KY(Zone 7a)

By summer? Jeepers! snow hangs around a long time there. LOL

Crossville, TN

Here is a view from the top of one of our mountains...taken from Montezuma Pass (6500 ft).......I live just to the left in the valley...at 4500 ft. The view of Mexico is blocked by the formation at the right. The mountain in the far view is Mule Mountain....between Tombstone and Bisbee. Jo

What a view, RR, looks like you can see forever!

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Dave took the mountain away? :(

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

I'm sorry to break this to ya, but like someone mentioned above, those are foothills, not mountains, lol!

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Joan, I still see the mountains, AKA foothills? You must have done something reeeealy bad!

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

It's back! For some reason it wasn't there until I hit refresh. Phwew!

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Oh, good! We ought to call it Mystery Mountain.

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

He'll probably make it dissapear for April Fool's Day, LOL.

Waxhaw (Charlotte), NC(Zone 7b)

I didn't even notice it until I saw this post... Wasn't it there all the time ??? Next we will find ears of easter bunnies protruding from behing mountain !!! -- maybe we will see DG change according to seasons just like Google. ??

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

That would be funny!

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

I like the foothills - it helps take up empty space in the graphic.

Crossville, TN

I think we need some Dandelions in that grass...I've never seen that much lawn with out them. LOL Jo

I thought I recognized those hills. :->

Very nice, Dave!!

Taylor Creek, FL(Zone 10a)

I was just wondering this morning about that there hill. That's a scene
repeated on many roads going out of Texas. LOL

Gordonville, TX(Zone 7b)

Could be gopher hills.

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Jo (roadrunner), that's a neat photo. When I look at the tiny roads in the foreground, the mountains that they're in seem very small...but when I lift my eyes to the horizon, the mountains seem quite a bit bigger. You'd think it would go the other way around... 8-) It's interesting to see the landscape where peeps live. Thanks for posting the pic! :-)

Thanks, Shannon. Jo

Hmm, I was thinking. What if you tried making the whole thing a photo? Then have it fade out somehow to put the text on. Something like this maybe? Just an idea, not sure my execution was that good, but I think using a photo like that might work.

Paul,

I love what you've done so far, but I am really very married to our vine logo.

What can you do with that?

Dave

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

What about applying a filter to the hill photo to make it more of a graphic, while still maintaining the details in it? That way, the logo and other elements will blend in.

Irving (Dallas area), TX(Zone 8a)

Something like more like this maybe?

Oops, I made it too big and it resized it all tinsy winsy. :)

Looks pretty good! Could you email me the original graphic you have there?

dave

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

That's fantastic Paul! Very nice!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Neat, Paul! Hey, just for kicks, see what it would look like with the FGBG motto and the DG logo/name swapped...With the name/logo farther over to the right with the graphic more toward the corner.

Edited to add:

I mean, the vine logo enlarged just a bit and placed over the date/clock, with the DG text to its left...And the FGBG over on the far left side.

this is looking....uh...professional....

Irving (Dallas area), TX(Zone 8a)

Yeah well, I think it's easier to accommodate 800x600 people the other way but is this what you're talking about.

Thanks everyone. I emailed it to Dave so we'll see what he does with it. I'd always be happy to work on it more myself if Dave wanted me to, of course.

I like where you moved the little 'trademark'(?) vine in the last one.
