Hey!!!! Where'd the MOUNTAIN come from??? LOL

Northern California, CA

Love it.....it just popped up there on the horizon!

New York & Terrell, TX(Zone 8b)

Ya, I just saw that too!

~* Robin

We call them hills here. :-)

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Ah, okay - I hit shift+refresh and now I see it. Hmmmm....

Golden, CO(Zone 5b)

That's only a mountain to a flatlander!

But it sure looks good up there.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Could the entire "grassy" area be made out of some cloned, uh, mountain?

Northern California, CA

I do know the difference between a mountain and a mole hill, I just thought it was a more effective word at that moment!!! LOL

Here's a small mountain in California approx 4000' and it is what I see outside my front door each morning, although it generally doesn't have snow on it!

Where's the little green Tele-Dave guy?

Thumbnail by Happenstance

Here's where I got the image. It's in the Texas hill country, on I-10 around the town of Welfare (just before Boerne, as you head south toward San Antonio).

Snicker -- don't fill it all up with hills.....where am I gonna plant my flowers and veggies? LOL

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

There must be something wrong with me. I didn't notice. I saw this post, thought a second and my eyes slowly scanned up there. I don't know why I was afraid to look or why I thought to look there. LOL I think it's sort of nice.

How about Rasta Dave walking down the side wearing bermudas and a beard? :)

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

I like Texas, it's a great state. I've never been to West Texas, but might make it there some day. The husband's folks winter in Zapata. Been mostly to Houston. I have a sister that lives there. Been to Amarillo, Herferd, Canyon, Galveston, Keemah and through Dallas... That strip of road between Dallas and Houston is the longest part of the drive from Iowa.... Oh yeah, and near Huntsville, there is this giant statue of Sam Houston, well at night he kind of looks like Mr. Peanut off the Planters peanut jar.... :)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6a)

ooooh, really nice :)

Back of Beyond, TX(Zone 8b)

Shoot, I thought it was just a fire ant mound - like the one at the base of my mailbox post! )8-))

Spokane, WA

heh...

GW's first thought was moles, mine was gophers...

i was headin for the traps cuz i thought the site had been infested...

lol...

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Whaaaa, I don't see any mountain :(

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Vi, hold down your shift key and click your browser's refresh button. :)

Spokane Valley, WA(Zone 5b)

Isn't it fun to see who stays 'tuned in' to DG for hours on end, even if they're off doing other things as well? I, too, had to refresh my screen. LOL

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

Ummm, getting better....colors don't go together and we need a teletubbie dave somewhere.

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

When I first saw it earlier today, I wondered what had been there before. Clouds I think?

I love the hill/mountain/molehill. I think the other grass needs to be a darker shade of green now. More of a prairie grass green, rather than lawn green.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

I tried shift and refresh--nuthin :( Will try logging out.

Well, that doesn't work either! Must I delete my cookie?

Joseph, OR(Zone 5a)

Yes, only a mountain to a flatlander LOL!

J

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

Looks like California coastal sage scrub.

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

Dave....great photo you posted! And it certainly looks like the new mtn on the logo! Love it!

Viola...Shift+refresh didn't work for me either...but Controll +refresh did. Try that.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

You da man, Shoe :)
Thanks!

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

Pretty cool mtn, eh? Love it!

Payneville, KY(Zone 7a)

Okay, where I come from that's a hill!!!

But this is funny, I've been sitting here going through the threads reading them....playing with the "hill/mountain" with my pointer....not even noticing it until Happenstance's thread here! Trying to remember what was there, if anything.

I can see it now, Dave is having too much fun.....the next forum (after April 23rd of course) will be, "guess what landmark this is".....LOL. Kathy

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

I wanna see what he does to it on April 1

Springboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Maybe he'll make it extra fun on "special" days, like Google does. Always like to see what creative things they can do to the word "Google". One of the "o"s was a shamrock on Patty's Day :) Surely Dave has all kinds of creativity just brewing up ideas... :)

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

Huga...that is a great, fun idea!!!!

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Dave does not 'april fool' us every year...makes it too predictible. He'll get us when we least expect it...he's done it before...and he's quite good at it I may add.

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Love the foothill... !

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

I think the grass needs mowing.....time for Dave to bring out the tractor mower, right? (just kidding!)

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

You know, that could be a field of spring wheat, and it looks so green because it's just getting started. Maybe we'll see golden wheat fields someday.

Springboro, OH(Zone 6a)

My 2 cents, not a huge fan of the mountains (duck!). Man, you didn't all have to throw things at me at the same time! Geez! :) I just like the pink flowers all by themselves, I guess. My humble opinion :)

Hugs :)

Northern California, CA

OK, I'll bite. Did that HILL get shorter and flatter today????

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh Huga, you are making a mountain out of a mole hill! Or is that foot hill? LOL

Kennewick, WA(Zone 6b)

I was thinking that there was a mountain that was going to pop up over the screen! lol
Now I see what everyone is talking about.

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Gosh....all I've seen for the last few days was a "Dave's Garden" title that was stretched to wider than normal. Figured it was just a bug he was working on. I'm glad you mentioned hitting "Refresh", gardenwife, or I'd never have seen the hills! Thanks. :-)
