DG Florala Swap Paintings.

Only have this one to show right now- started painting and realised I have no white!
This was going to be for the doorprize but now I am not happy at all with how it turned out.
Should I trash this one and do another for the doorprize?
The colours arent right so it isnt nearly exact.

The basics are okay though- will paintings composed like like this be okay for trading?
(Details-etc.)
I wasnt planning on doing backgrounds as those take me forty forevers. If someone absolutely needs a background please post here and I'll make a note.

I have decided not to use photos from the brug forum, Ginger_H gave me a pile she took and it makes it easier for me to have a photograph to paint from. Thank you everyone who was allowing me to use their photos. I will still do paintings for those who asked on the brug forum as a thank you.

Nah- it isnt a white brug I'm painting. I need white to dilute the other colours and add highlights. I found what I THOUGHT was oil based white- then I tried to mix it in with some paint thinner- can you say 'acrylic blobs and a nasty mess!'. LOL

Ya done good kiddo! It's perhaps a bit darker then my photo,but it was pretty dark in the flesh. I like it.

Wish we could though- hit all the swaps in this part of the country every year. When were rich we'll head that way, LOL.
Shoot when were rich we'll host the largest plant swap in the universe and well pay for everyone to be flown, shipped, mailed to it! :-))

After everything calms down after this swap I can always mail paintings for trades. Let's see how things go in the next month or so.

What do ya'll think of this one instead? I was trying to make a Red Brug (inspired by Kells beauty!) I have to add more red to it cause it's a bit too pink. Went ahead and added a simple background, blah blah blah...
