I think it's terrible though that only 2% of the people who use this site actually fork out the very little money requested to subscribe.....

They can't get real far tho - They can go to our trade sites and read the first posts on the threads. They can't respond or read replys, but they can email us. Don't know if they can get info from our Preference pages or not, like emails we have sent or threads we have started??

Hi Doris...the white print is the copyright info.....I don't think you can get the photo without it.

You can post a pic with no copywright lettering on it. Change your preferences.

I am with some of the members above in that I prefer the "Daisy" Logo too. Personal preference, I quess and "to each his own". :Donna

I like the old and the daisy but this one lacks warmth. Too many straight lines. Maybe a hill up to the right with the by and for gardeners in the grass in a lighter color or vice versa.

I agree with 'weeds'. I also liked the clouds.

I put the phone book under one side of the laptop and now I have a hill of sorts.

Gardening has got something to do with plants and flowers, so it would make sense to show such, rather than just an empty meadow. But as long as everything else is as nifty and well thought out as it is, I could even live with having Dave's picture up there.

LOL Ulrich. You just gave me a vision of Dave's face rising over the meadow like the beginning of the Teletubbie show. "And Dave sets in the meadow, just another day at DG" and the sun slowly rises up with Daves face on it. I don't think I got enough sleep last night. LOL

Thanks, Dave! lol My tongue was planted firmly in cheek too - although I have to admit, the spectre of anyone's face rising over the hills like the sun was a little bizarre! lolol I'm all for a contest! The winning entry could even enjoy a day of fame as the actual header....just long enough to make everyone go 'huh?'

*I* think the banner should use some Flash media, with a perpetually rotating series of images: reggae-Dave, then super-Dave flying across the sky, followed by tractor-Dave or trike-driver Dave zipping across the landscape, and of course Sunflower-Dave ;o)
