Note concerning downtime

Those of you still having trouble...Try clearing your browser's history and cache (temporary internet files). That way, when you type in davesgarden.com, your browser will go out and get the most current version of the site, and not rely on a cached copy stored on your hard drive. If you're not sure how to clear these things, go to google.com and type in the words clear cache and your browser's name. For example:

clear cache internet explorer
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=mozclient&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&q=clear+cache+internet+explorer

clear cache safari
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=mozclient&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&q=clear+cache+safari

clear cache firefox
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=clear+cache+firefox&btnG=Search

You get the idea. ;)

Our local cable has been down a couple of days. It had also affected the TV viewing. I hate when that happens. They said they were trying to upgrade equipment to accept the new digital stuff and suddenly everything blew up in their face. LOL Technology, ya gotta love it.

What addicts we all are. We were really busy over in Cdn trading fora and the n..... we all started PHONING each other to see what was wrong.

lol-
Mines going slow again. :-(( "beats the blasted server for being bad!".
Why do I get the feeling Dave is gonna introduce some new fangled addition to the site, lol.
Though- it could just be my computer- has been acting odd lately.

Good info on clearing the cached files, while I was able to access from my main machine, I could not access from the laptop in the kitchen (wireless network). I use the laptop when the other machine is "busy" working. After deleting all the temp. internet files the laptop is accessing the garden fine. (Dave's Garden is THE Garden) Thanks all - Dyson

Dave - it was a great opportunity to realize how much I enjoy DG. I'm afraid I was in withdrawal, and after such a short down time. I really can't believe how reliable this place is! Remember the days when you put in computer cards and they didn't come back for a day (or a week)? One time (in the early internet days) I actually totally jammed an entire network by having a lot of people email each other at the same time. It makes me laugh to think of it.

We've come a long way baby.
