Starr, glad to know he is in a good home. He sounds like a real character. We can't own birds cuz my dad is allergic to them. We had them when I was a kid and that's when my dad started having problems with them. My neighbor has a bird that we go visit from time to time. He likes to whistle at the ladies too, but he doesn't say much of anything else. =)

We can't have birds 'cause the dogs will spend all day pointing them & not eat or drink....

Wanda, that makes a hilarious image in my mind... but would not be very funny for the poor doggies... they would get awfully tired, bless 'em... (Why do I problems seeing Walker standing in one place for very long?) He would get the fidgets after awhile... And the poor bird would have a panic attack and kick the bucket...

When our wonderful English Setter Whitey was younger, he held a point for 2 hours in the backyard. It was a dove sitting on a nest and close enough to a partridge to count. Poor thing kept waiting for my DH to come out and shoot the offending bird that dared nest in his yard! Over the years, he learned that the birds, bunnies, squirrels etc that came to our yard would never be shot but were fun to chase.
