Ah, is Badger a rat?
Your Pet and Christmas Picture Contest!!
LOL, Come on Joelle. What exactly is Mr. Badger. We do know he's not really a badger....so?
OH Laura, that is a great picture also. I'm so jealous of all of you and your pet pictures. I can't even find Callie right now. She is in hiding.
Have you been keeping your Oscar secret, Laura? She is a real beauty!
This is such a great thread! I just love seeing everyone's "babies"!!!
Kell -- Lanny is 10 pounds. I can tell you all about Silky Terriers if you want to know. Just let me know. I'll give you the good, the bad and the ugly LOL -- there is no ugly other than when we leave her in the truck cab for a few minutes and she gets mad and shreds a paper napkin. She doesn't do it my car, just David's truck.......
Oscar is Beautiful
LOL Gretchen, my fat cat is 15 pounds!! Sure email me. Thanks
Joelle, Badger is so cute. I have been missing you. Thank you for the cold weather. It's 13F here right now and should go into the single digits. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Hope your Mom is well and ya'll will be together for the holidays.
Kell, IMO the picture must be taken by the person entering the contest. And it must be a picture with a holiday theme, taken solely for the contest. If someone wants to stick a Santa hat on Mom's pooch or their best freind's cat and take a picture I don't see how that would be a problem. But I will leave the final decision to you.
um - Sherry, I have another pic that was given to me if you'd like it, of the kitty. Absolutely cutest.

This is a really great thread now if I can get my girls to pose for me maybe I can get a pic entered
Loretta, Thank you for all the well wishes, it will be a super Christmas with my Mom feeling so well now. Badger is a four year old black gerbil with a 'slight weight problem' he likes to carb load! Here is a pic I took that same night, I tried to get this little hat to sit on his head with a piece of tape but it just doesn't look right, it sits to high. He certainly didn't appreciate it when I pulled the tape off. He mumbled something about calling the spca!
to funny Joelle
Well I'll be darned, Joelle. I have never seen a black Gerbil before. He is cute. Must be a pretty well behaved fella let you tape a hat on, let alone sit for the picture! :D

Everyone, Such a great thread, and I loved seeing all your pets. They are all winners. Donna
Joelle, I thought Badger was a little fat puppy. HAHAHA! I really need to get some new glasses. It's good to hear your Mama is better, I know you are so relieved.
Elastic on the little hats keeps them on long enough to take a picture. On my little poodle velcro will stick to her fur because it is so curly.
HAHA, he would sit through an earthquake for a peanut!
Here is my little Countessa (Tessa). She loves to sit on the back of the recliner and look out the window. She is sitting on a big sheepskin my DGD sent me from Australia.
Spoiled? Why No...she knows she rules the roost around her and takes it all in stride! (Did someone say "ride"? Her next favorite thing..riding in the car). I think Roadrunner rubbed off on her.
Merry Christmas to ALL.
Love & Hugs
Jo
Jo, what a beautiful little girl, Tessa is. My sister in San Diego has a black and tan Doxie too. She calls him "Frankie"! I wish Sandy (ILoveJesus) would post a photo of her new little furbaby. I bet it looks a lot like this. (Love the little Christmas Bow!)
Thank you OFG...We always like to hear others brag on our "Children".
I didn't know that IloveJesus is your sister...my dear sister is on DG too.....MaryK...of course they tease me that I am kin to most everyone on DG> LOL
Have great Holiday Season. Jo
LOL, no, no, Sandy is not my sister. I just used her and my sister in the same paragraph. (too confusing!) No, Sandy had a thread going regarding the addition of her new Doxie in the Pet Forum around Thanksgiving time. But we haven't seen any photos of her "Princess" yet. But I bet she looks like yours. My sister isn't a DG member, but has a black and tan Doxie like yours too. Clear as Mud??
everyone's babies are beautiful, wonderful, gorgeous, and absolutely stupendous darling! :-)
that fat little gerbil is a crack up in that hat. good job.
ctbig....i bet you were not happy with your two little ones that day. is one or the other the instigator? or do they share equally in there mischief?
oscar has beautiful coloring and his hair looks so soft and fluffy. i like how you posed them together. i think oscar knew this photo was going to go out over the internet, because he is sitting there quite proudly, showing the world just what a lovely and regal cat he is.
contessa, now that is a bent pinky, while drinking a cup of tea name. anyone understand this humor? is goes with the darling thing. pronounced (daaaaaaaaaaarling). :-) anyways she is a cutie. franklin met his first doxie at a church picnic this summer and that little cutie wouldn't stop barking at him, to get his attention, until he went over there to see her. LOL Franklin has always liked the more forward millenium woman, who goes after what she wants. ;-)
thanks everyone for sharing your terrific photo's.
debi z and franklin
LOL I love it, Daylilyslp...Looks like a winner to me!
Alice,
Precious. I think it is one of the nicest background. Not too bizzy.Linda
UCK! I'm not impressed. LOL I prefer the furry kind!!!!!!!!!!
This is a wonderful thread - what beautiful Christmas pets!
(encore!)
Well Jrush, all I can say is that if they have a prize for the most unusual shot of one of our pets, you'd win it...hands down!
Pretty fur babies, Donna. They look like real sweehearts. I love their coats. I can relate to how Poo feels... I hate to get my feet or my belly wet and cold!
