Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Congratulations Shirley and Monika! It's beautiful, and it's name is just perfect! :)

I can't wait to see the picture of your other double Shirley. You deserve this after the summer you and your brugs have had.

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

What a wonderful tribute to Monika....Great name!!!

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Perfect name.... very fitting!!! Thank you Monika for making this possible. Congratulations!!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'm glad you all like the name. I did ask Monika if I could name it after her. So far, my next double isn't showing any color yet. Still looks the color it was before it came down out of the calyx....that yellowish color. I keep saying, maybe tomorrow, but maybe tomorrow will be the day this time.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

And if it's another gorgeous double pink what are you going to name it? I seem to remember Gott Morr being mentioned? LOL

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

LOL!! I'm not too cracked up about that one, Liz. We will have to put our thinking caps on again if it happens.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Heavens to Monika!!!! I've been AWOL and I could not believe my eyes when I tuned in, WOW!!! My first thought was that someone had been playing with PhotoShop. When I realized it was true, and that Shirley and Monika were cohorts in 'crime', I realized that I'm one lucky girl to be involved in this 'sport', when one of the most important brugs of this century and decade is introduced!! A special thanks to Monika and Shirley and all others who were involved. I've never seen any double in person, now there is a wonderful US pink double and I look forward to the day that it will be available for all of our gardens. Many congrats, it's more beautiful than I ever would have imagined!! SherryLike

Your devotion to the Brugmansia cultivar along with your Unselfish Willingness to share your seeds, plants and knowledge with others about this plant are wonderful qualities rarely witnessed in 'brug' circles these days.

Des Moines, IA(Zone 5a)

Shirley & Monika what a beautiful double
pink & you couldn't have given it a
better name,If you come up another color
& can't find a name!!! Call the next one
Brugie because even if it takes another
25 years Brugie... you will still be
here & tending that beautiful garden of
flowers.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks everyone. It is always fun to grow from seed. The element of surprise is worth all the time and effort. Jerry, I hope you aren't having storms up your way. It doesn't look good between here and DesMoines.

Perfectly chosen name, Shirley :) I applaud you 2 once again....

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks T. Did you guys get all the mess cleaned up after the storms? Sure hope so. Sounded kind of bad.

Yea, but I don't know how you've been able to get thru all those storms this year with all the damage. Just walking around with Eva, helping pick up pieces of all her hard work was disheartening.

I can't even imagine having some of your storms. :(

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Such a special name for a special brug. I am so glad that as the years go by, Monika will always be remembered as the one that was not only generous, but giving and kind-hearted and cared enough to help us get this first double pink in the U.S. Thank you for letting Brugie name this brug in honor of you. In years to come, the brug Monika will be in many of our yards and I hope as we stroll through our gardens that none of us will forget the true lady, Monika who made it possible for us in the U.S. in the year 2004.

Shirley, you worked hard to bring this about also. I know your weather this summer has not been conducive to growing brugs but you did it anyway. Under these conditions, the hours of care you put into growing seeds and plants shows your true dedication.

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

that is an awsome brug, please put down my name,I am already in line for seeds *LOL*

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks Frannie. Tomorrow our temps are going to be near 90 degrees again, but only for one day.
Kareoke....seeds won't come true. The only way to get the exact same brug is from cuttings. Those won't be available until next year, probably. I'm glad you like it.

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

I assumed we would get the exact same brug from seeds - boy, do I have lots to learn!! Thanks for cluing me in Brugie!!!!

Bumping so Shirley & Monikas' "girls" could spend a little time together today...lol

Lewiston, CA(Zone 7b)

Wow! & "DOUBLE WOW"!

Such dedication you two, congrats!
