Hanna1-- the Night blooming cereus is this onehttp://plantsdatabase.com/go/2443/index.html

I haven't had any blooms on the haworthia so it will be a surprise. I hope you enjoy them all. Lou.

Gals, those of you that live in the humid South or Eastern and Gulf states will have trouble growing any of the Crassulaece family, try Madgascar plants. Hot, humid, wet, do not go with succulents, so you must grow them inside. They will not take 50" of winter rains, or summer humidity they rot. Make sure you have a very fast draining soil. Like cracked clay pots all broke up into 1/4 inch size pebbles, do not use beach anything, too much salt. However cracked up shell is good, add coarse construction sand/gravel that has been washed.
Sempervisums, come from Europe mostly or very dry areas. They love the snow, it keeps them warm. They love pine needles and forests. Sedum, many come from the same areas in Europe, and love the cold. The others come from areas that are dry on rocky cliffs, or mountains, no further south than Mexico. Only one in So. America. they are not jungle plants. Jungle cactus I believe you can grow as well as Hoya, Tillandia, Kalanchoe from Madagascar, Euphoria from Mascascar, and plants from the East coast of Africa.

Please telll us Western guys, and dolls, what you Southerns grow well, we haven't a clue. Im sending out a flying box tomorrow. Just came home from Oregon, and no I didn't stop in at Squaw Mt. Norma

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

I am so overwhelmed at your generosity, Catbirdsue!!
From having none to WOW [12]. Following is what I recd. Jelly bean sedum, trailing green jade sedum, 1 unknown, makinoi oron, coke a cola sedum, fire bird semp., dragons blood, tri color sedum, [4] different tall sedums, red epi, pink epi[my hearts desire], burros tails, last but not least, a red cactus heirloom [4 starts].
Please tell me if the burros tail and green jade sedum are house plants? Well, at least they are planted in a hanging planted now.
I had to raid my friends for hen & chicks to fill my trade. They don't mind as I always start too many plants in the greenhouse and they get the extra!!

What a wonderful birthday present. My heart runneth over.
