I also agree with Brugie that it would be interesting to find out, how it performs in a different climate. The color is impressive and I have a look at every time, I am in the forum.
I thought I died and went to heaven!
Well, zone 6 DRY here! Put me in! :)
Karrie, you aren't anywhere near as dry as we are here! I can guarantee that!
Kell, I would give it a very good home. I have become a much improved brug mommy.
No, Pondi, I'm not quite as dry as you, but I got there FIRST so there! And I am much dryer, in comparison to the costal regions, lol!
You can do a yahoo search for neighborhoods and find out the annual precipitations of all places. :)
I, too, check the forum here all the time AND I have only seen one brugmansia in my life, from a distance, but just being in the forum, especially now, has so much excitement I can feel it and want to go love all my landscape.
Thanks to all of you for your love of these beautiful creations.
I will continue looking and reading. Who knows maybe someday I will venture into the "real world".
Barbara
pss pss pss kell I just want a little pollen..........
LOL @ springsong!!
If you want to test your gorgeous Brug in heat & humidity....we've got PLENTY TO SPARE! I'd be honored to test her!!!
Beautiful, just beautiful! I don't often post here because I only have two and really don't know that much about brugs but this is one I had to add my 2¢.
I am doing a happy dance with ya.
This one is sure getting the views,I had to come take another look!
Springsong,it will probably be at least 2 more growing seasons before pollen or cuttings are available,I am sure Susie and Kell are not going to rush this one out.
Wind,this one is something eh?
ill volenteer for the south i am in sc/ga so its a different zone here.
its truely breathtaking. very pretty.
I'll settle for even seeds if you are short on cuttings. :)
I couldn't help but come back and see if there was a new picture of your brug Kell. It is the most beautiful color I have seen on a brug. I am so happy for you and Calla. You both deserve to finally get these special colored brug. for all the hard work you have put into it.
Patricia
Yup, I looked again and this one is still INCREDIBLE! Good job you two even if I can't have one for a while I think it is great!
I'm back for my daily fix........ :)
Me too, SD. LOL
Me too ... then its bedtime!!
Goodnight, waterloolily.
Still pretty, night all..............
Think Kell's pic will get Pic of the year by veiws?
I'm back too.lol
I keep lurking in the shadows waiting on the new pic lol.
Me too Donna! May I humbly request another picture?
Just back for another look this morning. So pretty!
Linda
(in the mild climate Seattle area - hint, hint)
here for my 3,294th time.... still just as impressive...
She hasn't posted for quite some time! Whatz-up????
kell is probably busy in her 'brug field of dreams'....I know I keep watching for her to post again, too!
Sigh....dreaming of maybe one day being able to see this one in person....
Kell is busy trying to get her brugs planted at the church lot she is renting. I'm sure she will stop by when she gets some time.
I thought she was doing 24 hour guard duty.
I am back also, hoping to see a new picture. This brug is outstanding!
I keep peeking in waiting for her to say it is Paintshop! LOL
Oh Chele don't say that. I would be forever heart broken
Ok, I'll behave. :)
Chele, I think if I had done paintshop I would have to slink away and never to be heard from again!! LOL
Do you believe I knocked one of the 3 new about to open buds off? I kicked my self around the yard!!!
Unfortunately, I am about to go back East unexpectedly! I hope they open before I do leave and if so I will post a pic. I wonder if my Tom is teachable on how to save pollen and on how to pollinate. There are tons of little buds coming also. I had potted it from a 2 gallon to a 15 gallon and now may pull it out and put it in a 5 gallon. My DH waters when he wants, not when the plant needs it. If it rotted I would just die, and so would he. LOL
It has been cold here lately so it will be interesting to see the color now. Butterfly and L'Amour are very pale. If it is the new one is still dark, it will be truly a very special brug. The corolla coming out is very yellow again!
Wish me luck!
Kell, I hope your Mom is okay. Do you know how long you'll be gone? Poor Tom is gonna be under a lot of pressure - LOL!
Oh Kell, I too hope your Mother is okay!!! I hope your travel is unevenful, and that you have a good flight -- you'll be in my prayers! Gretchen
Please don't keep repotting it, you might kill it!
Talk to Tom or email him when you are away, tell him how much water etc. Find out weather conditions, etc, and............sorry, you know what to do..
Kell, are you taking the laptop? Or do you leave it there?
Gosh Kell! I hope everything turns out ok. I will be thinking of you.
Kell, I hope everything is okay and wish you a safe flight. You're in my prayers. Maybe instead of repotting it for Tom, you pot it up and take it with you. LOL
