Can everyone post pictures now?

I still can't post pictures either, I'm on dial up.

My pics are 640 X 480 and won't go thru. Doesn't seem to be the size that is causing this.

Will just keep trying though. All will be well again.

I have two computers, one on dial up, and one on Adelphia broadband... neither has been able to upload a photo now since last Wednesday, with a few exceptions. My photo size is maybe larger than average, but not a whole lot. I have had no problems in the past (maybe one afternoon here and there some wouldn't load).... seems weird it's been such an intermittent problem- some having none and others not being able to load anything. Is it maybe regional?

Mine won't go either, been trying all day. I'm on dial up but not yahoo.

Yeehaw! Just got two pics into the PDB! Went thru very fast, too! (Didn't have to resize them either, they were my usual 640 X 480.)

I am also on dial up. I have tried to post since yesterday morning but I have managed to post only two that I made smaller size. None of the rest of the smaller ones would go through however. This is a real mystery isn't it?

Is there a commonality in the type of browser everyone is using that cannot post? I had a problem one night last week when things started getting wacky, but since that first night I haven't had problems posting pics at all....large ones to PDB, to Journal to the forums. No probs here. I use Firefox. What's everyone else using?

Palmbob--I don't think it's regional. Melissa_OH can't post and neither can another member in the Daylily forum that's in Maine. It's either browser related or ISP related is my guess.

Maybe if everyone with problems can post browser and ISP they use that might provide some clues!!

I wanna get you guys all back on because I miss all the great photos!!!!

I've had very little problems posting pics, but I do optimize my files, if that makes a diff. I use IE and I'm on cable.

I'm having a harder time uploading to my own server than here . . . *sigh*

I hope the problem gets fixed soon, I miss all the pics!

I downloaded a program that PanamonCreel told me about www.microsoft.com it's for windows XP called re-size your pictures. Make them small or medium under 50k works best.

Have no idea why today it worked for me but for the last 4 days it didn't.

Yay!...it took a pic again! (Firefox).

Wonder why all of a sudden it lets me do that?

Here I thought I was the only one with this probelm.

My 3rd day on the site; What a find! Yesterday I attempted posting (see 'problems posting pic' thread on Photo forum). I found if I kept attempting over and over (10 or more time per succesful photo post), I would eventually succeed. My pictures are large (over 600k),jpg, windows 98se, DSL connection

This is a new problem here, and is usually NOT the norm. A minor glitch in the system for some reason. Normally pics are zapper right thru, regardless of DSL or dial-up.

It'll clear up soon. No doubt!

I am still not able to post either. It's been about 3 days and still nothing today. I bring up the browse and then preview, it looks like it's going through then it brings up the Your message box with nothing in it. It loses the text and the picture....any ideas???

Hmmm...I got two pics in the PDB today...but couldn't post a pic in this forum a few minutes ago. Pretty weird. Hoping that info will help dave out.

WELCOME Datgnat.....Shoe's right this is gonna be your new home on the Net!!! Dave's been a mighty busy guy the last few days workin' on this picture posting problem. So busy that we've barely seen hide nor hair of him. Poor fella!! Trish is probably wondering if he's ever gonna sit down to the dinner table I'll bet.

I think Datgnat had a good point....even though I said earlier in a post that I've not had any problems that was probably a little overstatement. Sometimes they don't go through (once or twice) and I just resubmit them. I always preview the pics but someone (Poppysue) said in another thread that you should try NOT previewing the pic and just upload (submit) it and that seems to help some folks get their pics uploaded.

Shoe, were you having a sugar fix in that shot?

I clicked Preview Picture button when trying to send Hoya Carnosa closeup picture today, resulting in "Page cannot be found." It appears that upload of 2 pictures (one at a time) of Hoya Carnosa was successful when I didn't Preview but instead pressed the enter key while in the description box (there is no "Send" button). I won't know for a few days whether the .jpg images reached the PDB. Hope this info helps, Dave.

I too have been having problems for a few days. I do hope the glitch works itself out.

I use DSL and have a newer computer. I have problems posting text, images and browsing the site.

Using IE newest version with Windows XP

Does resizing the images to less than 50k resolve the problem?

Quite aggravating to type out several minutes of text with pictures and links only to have it disappear!

I get in most of the time with 50k or so.

Let's try this 58k seems ok.
