Official Super Bowl Day thread and tail gate party

Shoe and some of us have been talking about starting a thread for the Super Bowl to talk about the game. So I figured we better start it early for the tail gate party. We are having shredded chicken sandwich's, hot wings, chips and dip and of course blue soda (adult beverage for those who don't speak shoe).

I just got the country ribs going on the smoker!

Oh mercy me! I forgot all about the food part! (I do have a venison roast thawing out tho...better get my crock pot going!)

You can forget the food shoe as long as you don't forget to bring your blue soda.

Got some boiled peanuts going in the crock,gotta have something to munch on till the ribs are done!

Yep...reckon I better head to the store then. Hmmm, might pick up some peanuts too! Good idea Root!

Sorry Howie, but a tail gate party ain't complete without Maryland Blue Crabs! That is Phillip's Seafood style!! How many fingers can you lick at one time???

Oops! Forgot to add that the MD BLUE Crabs would go great with the BLUE soda!!

That sounds great but as Justmelisa will tell you I'm not much for crabs. Now give me some shrimp I'll do just fine.

I have packed my bags and am on my way to Shirley's. Blue Crabs are the utmost treat.
By the way, when did Deion Sanders quit football? Is he playing baseball anywhere?

I think he's been out of football since he left the Redskins 2 or 3 years ago. Not sure about baseball.

It was in 2001 and it says he left baseball at the same time.

Ok I'm makin' bean dip and spinach dip. Crock pot is full of pork tenderloin and sauerkraut. Bill,the die hard Steelers fan, is in his Steelers shirt...I'm happy just to be warm.LOL It's a nasty day here in Fountain,Fl.

A good day for football? We're supposed to get 5-6" more overnight - starting to feel like the folks in upper NY!

We've got tortilla chips, nacho cheese sauce, salsa, shredded chicken sandwiches, and Buffalo chicken wings.

I'm an old Redskins fan myself.I remember when it was the only team anywhere NEAR the south. Maybe next year.......
So far, (halfway thru the 1st quarter) I have had chili and cornbread, ice cream (twice), pork skins & dip, a piece of Kentucky Fried Chicken, a REAL Pepsi (not diet) and a mango. I may die tomorrow but I'm having fun now...

Howie, I have a funny story for you. My Dad and my Uncle went to see the Redskins about once a year driving up from Wilmington, NC. Many years ago when they went, my Dad brought in this slender stainless steel flask, one of those kinds that is curved so you can carry it in the breast pocket and not have it seen. It was a cold day so he got it out and took a swig and passed it on to my Uncle. Well, Uncle Walter took a swig, but was so intensely watching the game that he passed it to the next person instead of back to my Dad. It apparently kept going until it ran out, because they never saw it again...

its the DC effect woods. Same thing happens to our tax dollars...
