I think mine may be...God Planted the First Garden...
Any suggestions will be helpful. I would like to paint some new ones during the winter.
What is your favorite garden sign?
"Garden of Weedin'"...?
LOL Shoe :) Reminds me of the first palindrome spoken, "Madam I'm Adam"
Here's one of my favorites:
Gossip In The Garden
"Good Morning Glory, what's the Four-O'Clock news?"
Johnny-Jump-Up lost his shoes.
Black-Eyed Susan has her eye on you.
And the Tulips want a kiss or two.
Iris just wants Rose to know,
Sweet William is her favorite beau.
Bizzy Lizzy took her Butcher's Broom
and chased the Cattails round the room.
Poor Weeping Willow isn't feeling well
And Hollyhocked her Chiming Bell.
Yesterday Daisy cut off Adam's Beard,
Then whispered Forget-Me-Not in Elephant's ear.
Today a Texas Ranger knocked at my door,
Creeping Jenny found a Naked Lady lying on the floor.
Tomorrow who knows what gossip there'll be,
The Flowers are from such a large family,
Let's talk again soon,
"Good Day-Lily."
gardeners know he best dirt!
Ring bell. If no answer - pull weeds !
In my garden, more is not nearly enough!
When I die, compost me!
"Grow Da*nit"
aMy daughter gave me a little pottery sign that is hanging out in my Woodland Garden says 'Don't Just Stand There WEED' Donna
Oh, I really like that one, Donna. My mother in law weeds everytime she vists. I could use more help.
Teresa
My mom sent me a t-shirt last year that I want to make into a garden sign. It says:
In search of my mothers garden...
I found my Own.
How about "Weed 'em and Reap"? :-)
You are never alone in a garden if you can greet every plant by name
Thanks for sharing everyone, another favorite would be Ladybug Crossing
I love the idea of the sign saying, "Ladybug Crossing". That would go well with a round rock painted like a ladybug sitting on a slightly larger rock. Where are my paints????
Edited to say.....or lots of different sized painted rocks marching in a sort of a row across some kind of area like a piece of driftwood or a rock.

i like "martha doesnt live here!"
Hey, that is perfect for you Dori.
Elena, have you seen the old bowling balls that are painted like a huge lady bug on the top and buried in the ground?
martha doesn't live here! THAT's funny!
No, Bluegrass, but I will start looking for one. Great idea! Wouldn't that be cute. It is too early for garage sales but I don't think I have ever seen one for sale at a garage sale anyway. Anyone know where i can find a bowling ball that no one wants?
Poor Martha may be decorating her cell pretty soon and that will be true of her own home.
Hey, Jody! I LOVE yours!!
Elena, call the bowling alley, they might replace theirs from time to time.
Thanks Mary. Good idea!
" My Garden Is My Sanctuary "
"Caution: Guard Worms"
("moofmm moofmmm...")
(Sound of a vicious earthworm barking)
(With his/her mouth full.)
Not only does Martha not live here, she won't even visit. Lou
well she would if she was a BIG mellencamp fan! :)
Weeds 4 Sale
U Pick
Hah! I LUV that one, langbr!
Now ya'll got ME wanting to make a bunch of signs, just to put in various places all over the farm!
Hi, I'm a little new to this, but I'll try to post a couple of pictures you might like to adapt. Thanks for the thread, I've been "saving up" sign ideas for my own garden (some to be painted on rocks) that I plan to change out from time to time. One I don't have a picture of is, "He who throws dirt loses ground." Here are the pictures (I hope)...
I love all these! I was given one I had not seen before, I think it will grow on me in time, but I'm not crazy about it. "Nature's Quiet" and a scene of vines and hummingbirds.
Hehe My neighbor found a sign today clearly written by someone young(er):
No boys allowed except girls.
LOL
Garden Menu : Fresh Compost Tea
Lasagna Beds
Beer marinated Snails
no substitutions allowed
I am DEFINITELY in need of a good garden sign! These are all so funny! If I put one in my front garden, I'll have to "cement" it in so noone takes it! (someone stole my neighbor's gazing globe and her solar lights last year!) We live in a fairly nice, older neighborhood, but the hoodlums don't raid from their own turf!
A member of our garden club told of two women pulling up in a car and taking plants from a front porch. That is sad.
That's terrible! People like that do not deserve plants, let alone beautiful flowers!
Every Birdy Welcome.
Don
