I'll have a six pack! :)

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Congratulations, Badseed. I'm not worried a bit about you. After 5, you are a professional!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL @ all of you. Wing, I just showed the kids your hyperlink and it was met with "OHHHHH", "HORSIE", "Where does she live and when can we go?" then the Sandy song from Sponge Bob. LOL I think they would go right now.
Winter, I am a bit spirit-less these days but doing great!! They belly is growing ALREADY cuz the uterus remembers where it left off. LOL I may quit working soon or cut back. I kind of like my job. LOL We are only an appraisal away from refinancing and that will save us about $550/month. :)
LOL Yes Weezin, I can pop em out like a pez dispenser! LOL I think at this point I am more worried about keeping it in long enough! LOL

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

LOL, Seed! Had my last baby in 1970. Both kids were under 6 lbs, but I don't ever want to do that again! You must be super woman!

Bolton, Greater Manc, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

Badseed I may be a bit late here but CONGRATULATIONS! I had 3 and wouldnt dare to have a fourth! the labour got shorter with each one. My shortest labour was 15 minutes!
I always wanted 5 boys but only managed 2 but I aint complaining! :)) sorry but wouldnt want all girls, one is quite enough for me, boys are definatly easier, but then I guess I am more of a boy kinda girl ;)

Well done you.

Spicewood, TX(Zone 8b)

Cool! Bring 'em on over! Hee-hee! By the time you all make it down this way to let the new baby meet NanaJo, we should even have BABY HORSIES! :)! Wanna' see a kid go NUTZ? Let them pet a baby horse. ;)

Sponge Bob Square Pants!! I LOVE Sponge Bob! And Sandy's my homegirl. ;) Mitchell, the 11 year old, turned me on to Sponge Bob and we watch it together a lot.

Pez dispenser. *GUFFAWWWW!* I meant say that I love GW's picture! I also meant to tell you, Chele, that I do admire your attitude about motherhood. It's quite refreshing to see someone who has so much on her plate, but is enjoying every minute of it. I'd love to just stand next to you and soak up some of that vibrance.

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Well said, Wingnut!

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

And how, Wingnut. BS seems to be an awesome person in many ways!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Gosh guys, make me blush!! LOL My babies were all very close in size-7.8, 8.1, 8.3, 8.0 and 7.6. It really is awful to think I have passed 40 pounds of kid! LOL I had the first four two weeks late and the last one was two weeks early. Who knows what is in store for me this time??? I go for my first check up tomorrow. I assume they will get me in for an ultrasound pretty darn quick. :)
As for parenting and motherhood...well, I probably do things a little different than some. I let them make mistakes, let them get dirty, let them work with me if they want, etc. So long as they have good manners, stay out of trouble and get good grades, all is well. I guess I am down to earth and maybe too honest with them, but they are kind and well centered and very nurturing. What else could I want??
Thank you all for the funny AND kind words. :)

Spicewood, TX(Zone 8b)

I'm glad to hear you say that you let them work with you, get dirty and make mistakes as long as they make good grades, etc. I'm trying to do the same with the boys, especially the honesty and mistakes part. I figure if I let them know it's okay to make mistakes, then they'll be encouraged to try new things without fear (and they'll let me off easy when I make mistakes and up it to them ;). Never having had any children of my own, I'm new to this full-time motherhood thing. I often wonder if I'm doing what is best. You just helped me more than you know, Michele. Thank you.

And you're welcome for the compliments from me. You deserve them. Part of what really makes me believe that is what I hear from everyone else who knows you and your girls. It HAS to be honest assessments from others ~ you'd go broke paying them all off if it wasn't! *Chuckle!*

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

Yup Chele, you have my admiration but you gotta stay out of trouble the next time we go anywhere together or I am telling on you.

Linda, you are going to do just fine with your attitude toward life and your work ethic being instilled in those boys. Just add love and understanding and a little sense of humor and a ton of patience and those boys will thrive under your care along with some of that old fashioned mother hen feather fluffing. There are no manuals for parenthood out there that will explain it ALL. Just a bunch of common sense will get you through it.

I guess I am going to have to be caught watching an episode of "Sponge Bob" just once to see what you are talking about. LOL My son will just DIE if he finds out. FOFLMBO

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

Having seen 'chele at home and at the store w/ the horde
I can vouch for their manners and disposition.
Course also the dirty and attempting to help parts also!
They are a trip!!!

Now if they'd just quit losing Jazzy!

Ric

Spicewood, TX(Zone 8b)

Thanks, Lani. :) Yes, you HAVE to watch atleast ONE episode of Sponge Bob! He's a hoot!

Jesteburg-Wiedenhof, Germany(Zone 8a)

I think we'll just keep this thread going till the baby's born lol

Wintermoor

Spicewood, TX(Zone 8b)

I agree, Winter! :) LOL!

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

LOL I agree. What else can we talk about though? I have never seen anyone from DG be able to carry on a conversation with another.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Badseed.. how was your first checkup going? I am doing great.. matt's 8lbs 3oz!!!!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Great to hear about Matt, Mini! He sure is a cutie!!
I went to see my midwife on Tuesday. She said nearly what I thought she would. I am seven weeks, everything looks good, my blood pressure was perfect??????? and I am due on April 5th. I was sure she would have my due date earlier, they always due. But I always know when I got prego. Good planning. LOL It won't be long before they bump it back though, like normal. LOL Thank you for asking.
If you all plan on keeping this thing going for seven more months, I better start a new one each month. :)

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Badseed... Glad to know everything's ok with you and the baby.. 7 weeks! You have long way to go! LOL.. Yes I agree, midwife,Doctor or Nurses don't know the real due cuz they was not there when it happened! LOL! Take easy!

Matt is doing great and getting chubby! Yesterday evening, we went to Texas. Matt's first trip to Beaumont, Texas! I need to buy a baby book so I can write everything in it.

Mercer, PA(Zone 5a)

Glad to hear all is well Chele!

TC...

Spicewood, TX(Zone 8b)

Another month down. Is your excitement building, 'Chele? Can you tell if it's a girl or not yet? I've never had any children, so am not familiar with ultrasounds and such. Or are you and DH going to let that part be a surprise? If it were me, I'd want it to be a surprise, but I don't know if I could wait that long (yeah, I'm the one that unwraps the presents under the Christmas tree and tapes them back up so no one will know. ;).

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

That's wonderful news Badseed, The more the merrier, I always said, but had to stop at three girls. No choice. But now I have 13 grandchildren and that is enough. Six of them are girls. I agree, Girls rule, boys drool. Hehehe Good luck with your pregnancy and I hope it's another girl.

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Guess I'll beat Psilo with an even more belated congratulations!!! You're just the best mamma I've ever met :) I'm so happy for y'all!!!

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

you win chele i quit with 5 boyz!!! ;)

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL I was wondering how on earth this got back to the top! LOL My three month checkup is coming up soon. I already feel and look six months! LOL I am waiting until the following check for the sonogram because the 'parts' should be easy to see. Of course my babies always have their butts in the air and their legs together so who knows. Isn't that cruel of them??? With three of them, I did not find out until the day before they were born! And heck no, I don't want that kind of a suprise! I'm counting on a girl until someone says otherwise and we don't have a thing for a boy to wear! LOL Thanks to all of you!

Spicewood, TX(Zone 8b)

Boys can wear pink. ;) Just name him Jamie or Chris or some other name that works both ways. *G*

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

Just not Pat, from SNL!

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

LOL weeds!

I still think it is a boy and you will have to have all new clothes.

Jesteburg-Wiedenhof, Germany(Zone 8a)

Wingnut is right, start looking for girl/boy names like Lesley/Leslie,
Paula/Paul
Petra/Peter
or how about Baby/Bubba :-p

Duckingmoor

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I'll tell you what Lani, you just keep saying boy and you better get shopping! LOL

Winter you are too much! :)

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

Badseed, just stumbled across this. I don't know how you can garden & care for 5+ kids. You are amazing, Woman! Shall I send you something blue and put the "boy" curse on you? He'd have sooo many big sisters to adore him.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Thank you Wanda. Um, I am not super woman, which is why you still don't have your iris! Ack!! I am going to make every effort in the world to get those mailed tomorrow. And all of you better stop with this boy business! LOL I only make girls!!!

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

Chele, it has been so long since I shopped for boy clothes that now all I can buy is man clothes size 42 with a 36 inch inseam. My baby has sure grown up in 26 years. LOL

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Hmmm... Hard to imagine a boy in that infamous girl club 'Chele has going ☺ None the less, it sure would be fun to be sending something blue your way, Seed!

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

ohhhh but wouldn't he be spoiled rotten by all those big sisters? LOL

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Blue outfits would look mighty funny in lavender and pink rooms! LOL Yeah Lani, I think he'd be spoiled alright! I'm a little concerned he'd end up just a weeee bit flamboyant! The girls have already threatened to put dresses on him by beating me out of bed each morning.

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

chele,
Tell the tribe that Robyn and I are betting on Male Quints!
That way everything would even up!

Ric

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

You are a mean and evil being Ric! LOL Where ya been?

North Tonawanda, NY(Zone 3a)

Congratulations! Did you plan this one so it wouldn't interfere too much with gardening season? LOL, just kidding. If it's a boy, we should have a Dave's Garden "shower" for the lil' fella. Wouldn't want him to go through what Johnny Cash's "Boy Named Sue" had to put up with, giggle! Will be looking forward to seeing pics of the latest "flower" in your garden.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

ROTF newbie! Yes, I do not want a boy named Sue! My first four were timed around fall canning. I could get it all done while they slept away that first month. The fifth one just didn't get made as quick as the others. This one will have a birthday close to number five so she is not floating out there alone. :)

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

Ignore the news of an eathquake in OH w/ an epicenter at MT Washington.
That was just 'chele's jaw hitting the floor! LOL

chele,
We've been doin' the same as you.
Takin' cuttings and movin' stuff closer to the house.

How full is the garage?

See we got these huge banana trees.....LOL

Ric
