Abutilon with orange flowers now discolored

San Francisco, CA

Abutilon x hybridum 'Victor Reiter' had nice orange flowers and now it they are discolored. I am also having trouble with the apricot abutilon. I have a photo of the apricot, I call it good flower/bad flower. The smaller one is discolored orange and the large one is the correct color. I am thinking it is reaction to insectide or fungicide, but I am not sure. Are abutilons more likely to discolor or is it only orange abutilons?

After removing all the flowers and then not spraying they seem to be coming back. The organic prythems seems alright, no discoloration, but I have heard that prythems will not fight spider mite. However, my spider mites have gone dormant for winter, so can someone suggest how to kill them in their dormant stage? Last spring my angles trumpet lost almost all its leaves and almost died due to spider mite. It was our worse season ever.
