Cala, Jo and Carol's excellent adventure begins soon

I can hold your daylilies in my lap! Please leave the rocker! I will make some side pockets to hang from the cushion, so you will have room for loads of stuff.

Cala, you've got to visit the Daylily farm. I went last year and came home with a truck full.He's really got some beautiful ones and also hybridizes them.

Snowhermit - I forgot to tell you ... I went on his opening day, July 3rd. It was hard to find anything I wanted because there wasn't much in bloom yet. I still came home with more than I planned on. The end of the month should be much better as far as bloom time goes. I expected him to cut the prices on the "choice" plants in his upper gardens but he hasn't - not yet anyway. Maybe at the end of the season he will. He's a real nice fellow. He dug out some pictures of his hybrids to show me. He's created some really beautiful ones.

Would any of you that we plan to stop at please email either Carol or Calalily with your home address and telephone number? Since I am a Traveling Gal, and have no computer to call my own, no printer to my name...they will have to keep them until we meet up, at which time I will enter them into our log book. (Hey! I'm getting organized...like Carol!)
Now it just so happens that I too love Day Lilies...so I will forgo the rocker!! Jo

I'm back from camping(Jo, don't think I want to tent camp on our journey, lol) It was "fun" but glad to be home and have my own warm shower, lol.

Hmmm, food, hmmm. Any preferences must be sent to me by August 29! This is a "homemade" kind of a place, so let me know what you'll be wanting, or it's take what we have - lol. I won't tell you what the cow's name was. . .

Geeez, I've been out of town and out of the "loop". In Maine actually, heh heh. Susie, the weather while I was there was awsome! Clear blue skies and lots of sunshine, no humidity, it was wonderful, sure hope you get the same.

When are you arriving and how long will you be staying here in MD? If you are here on Thurs and/or Fri I'd love to drive up and see ya'll, it's only an hour or so from me I think. If I miss ya, hopefully I'll catch you on my journey down south again this fall.

Carol and Jo stopped by here yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) for a brief visit on their way to TN and Jo's son's house for a day or so before embarking on this wonderful journey with Calalily and her daughter. I wish them all a safe journey! (and, envy them the trip... all except 13 days in the same car with 3 other women, LOL!)

Yep...and just b4 they went to Darius's house they were here for a brief visit. Jo got to have her cup of tea, Carol her coffee BUT(!)...we got to gabbing and I neglected to make the tomato biscuits Jo requested! Such a poor host I am.
Oh well, I sent them away with a bag of goodies, maybe that will redeem myself!

Slice maters, put on biscuits (usually w/mayo, a pinch of salt and pepper). Insert into mouth, allow to fall into stomach.
