Anyone who wishes to visit with Jo,Cala and Carol while they're here are more than welcome to come to my house.It would be just as easy to get here as it would be to get to a park. I'm right off RT 1 outside of Bel Air. Shirley,(sgtdot)is only 3 or 4 mi. from me. We'd love to have any of you visit if you can.Just let me know so I'll know how much food to fix. Ginny

Whoa! Hold the phone! I just read that Wonder-Down-Under will be landing here on our shores within 12 months! Oh, I will have to find a way to go to meet her, wherever she lands, and I sure wish it would happen in Texas.

The mental image of that rocking chair on top of the Explorer gives me ideas. And to weld a raft or other marine conveyance to it, oh, boy, the plot thickens. Next thing you know, it will be rivaling Bobby and Laura in versatility. Could we also have an espresso maker up there with the rocker? I could ride shotgun in style, and might actually find a way to join you girls with all that provided. Jo and I are almost the same age, so I can justify the rocker.

Aimee...I will give you a hint of where one place that Mz Wonder will land....Does "But it's a dry heat" mean anything to you? LOL Jo

I will definitely be coming to visit you then Jo.
Poppysue, we are leaving here the 25th, driving to Ginlyn's and staying one or two nights, then on to visit CrestedChik, stay somewhere near there and then drive to NH to see Jo's friend and Snowhermit, stay one night in that vicinity and then on to Maine. That would put us in Maine the 29th?
Kim, I have a friend in Newark too, have got to see her, she's my bestest bud from way back.(Jo, there will be NO comments about me having a friend, yes, I do have one, lol)
I hope you guys in Md and NJ can come see us at Ginlyns, I dont' think I could make the 150 extra miles, lol.

Cala honey...I thought Crested Chick was AFTER Maine..on the way back...when we cut from the coastal area and head WEST....check that with our newly appointed navigator. And Snowhermit lives so far north off our track that I was hoping that she was to meet us in Maine...as she had posted in an earlier thread...Let's hear from you on this Snowhermit.

Hmmm, could it be that Wonder will land in a desert area known for a certain mostly absentee resident? It's been a lot of years since I braved that dry air with extra supplies of Elizabeth Arden, but if Laura is going there and not to Texas, I am going. Blood clots notwithstanding, I shall board a plane and descend upon you with my own coffee maker and supplies. Oh, what a bad girl you are, Jo, you keep forcing us to gad around the country with your never ending wanderlust. Where will it all end???

GW I was reffering to your above post that said your were making cold cuts and that any DG memebers were welcome to drop by. I wasn't planing on spending the night there, if it get's to late then we will rent a room for the night or just drive home. If it's not possible for you to do this please let me know and I'll make other arrangements as soon as I know the day they will arrive.

Aw shucks. Bel Air is an awfully long walk from Arlington. I don't have a car during the day and DH takes classes several nights a week. Have a great time on your trip.

I want to say one more time, if you guys decide to stop for the night, you are more than welcome to stay with us. Can't guarentee the house will be clean, and can't guarentee it will be quiet, but we would be honored to clear some beds for you. :) I'll even make you anything you want for dinner. Ladies do you have any idea what day you will be in Ohio?

Cala, RR, Don't care how, when or where we meet but I AM going to meet you all. I feel bad because I am quite far north of Poppysue and it would put you back about 7 hrs going to my house and then back down to NY. DH starts vacation on the 27th for two weeks and we will be going camping in Maine. Not sure what day yet, but will know by tomorrow.Would love to have you all visit me and you are more than welcome but with all the people you have to see I certainly understand if you don't want to go that far out of your way. You know your time schedule so just let me know what you think would be best for you all.We could either meet here or in Maine, whatever is easiest for you.

Snow, you Poppysue and Crestedchic are the reasons we are coming up there(plus Jo has friends too) so I wouldn't dare head home without visiting you!!

Woohoo!!! We will not be going camping until Aug. 1st so I will be home. I'm really getting excited now. Hope you all aren't disappointed. There's no beautiful gardens here this year. 95% of my gardens consist of Brugs, Brugs and more Brugs. LOL

Nana, I was going to claim the trunk until I read here about Jo's rocker, and I just know it's for me. So you hang out in the trunk, but try to avoid calling attention to yourself or the cops will harass us. My being on the roof is bad enough.

I put in to take leave from work but was denied the 27th. Seems too many people already have it off. I have the 28th & 29th off tho. I'll be a bit of a drag on the 27th with no sleep but I'll still be willing to play ;].

I already told cala I wish I could put everyone up for the night but we just don't have the room here. I'd be happy to make reservations somewhere close. There's a pretty reasonable motel just down the road a bit. So the date should be the 27th? 28th? or both? If you all would like to have a lobster feast we can pull that off here. I don't know how much time you plan to spend or if it will be a hit and run visit? There is a nice "dig your own" daylily farm about 25 minutes from me. I know you all won't have much room for plants but if you'd like to visit the place I'd be happy to take you. I could even ship plants back to you of you wanted get some daylilies.

I LOVE daylilies. Jo, the rocker may have to go, lol.
We are staying in Maine 2 nights. We can sightsee and let you rest a bit before we come visit.
