OK I'll admit to having a pond and a bathroom sink for the wildlife's enjoyment. Trouble is I've lost site of the sink in all that vegetation but it pleases the locals not to have to look at it everytime they walk past LOL

(Zone 8a)

I have 3 going on 4 soon!

New Albany, MS(Zone 7a)

We have 4 ponds at this time. Looking at doing our 5th real real soon. Just got started this year and Lord Have Mercy, didn't know things would take off and grow like they did. Guess my vision was bigger than our ponds. LOL. I have accumulated 23 tropicals, 18 hardies, and 10 lotus so far this year. LOL. HELP!!!!!!!!!!

1-200 gal stock tank- lilies

:-)

Ace, TX(Zone 8a)

I know there are more ponders out there then this. OK I just had to add, First (small preformed) second (hand dug disaster) redoing this winter and just finished my third above ground 8X8X3ft. deep landscaping timber pond. Got plans for several more but everyone runs when I pull out the shovels, don't understand it. 6 kiddie pools 6 muck buckets and just about anything else that will hold water, including an old tea kettle. If it holds water it has something aquatic growing in it. Hubby won't let me have the bath tub :0( but I'm still trying. OK it's an addiction what can I say, I'm hooked.

New Albany, MS(Zone 7a)

I am so proud to know of all the ponders in DG. We must all keep in touch. I am always looking forward to chatting with ponders about my dreams and dislikes. LOL. And yes it is very addictive. Told the lady that started me in ponding that she should be a drug dealer. She can hook me on anything. LOL. I also am putting water plants in just about anything that will hold water. Just found an old cow feeder that is on a stand that holds water. Figured it would be perfect for me starting my baby tropicals. Now to figure out where to put all the baby tropicals that I am starting in that. LOL. Friend bought me a huge kiddie pool to put my big Euryale in. Thinking about making a huge pond just for it. Can't believe how massive that thing is getting. And yes, I have fish also. Very fond of those little suckers. They follow me all around the pond when I am in there working. Guess they like hairy legs. LOL.

I'm a ponder!! :) Built our first pond 4 years ago to entice my son to get outside more. He is in a wheelchair and was staying in the house way too much so I decided to put his goldfish in a pond just for him to go outside to feed and see--the idea worked too well. It got him outside but now he wants a bigger pond with more water sounds. So I have been working on his second pond and enjoying myself also by planting more plants around it and getting several plants ready to go in it. We both love ponding. :)

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

From my DG name you can tell that I am a ponder! I have two and a half right now. One is a half an acre natural pond, one is a quarter acre sand bottom pond that we dug this spring, and one half is a koi pond that we are digging in the backyard right now. It will be the only lined pond here for now. I am a member of the Idaho Water Garden and Koi Society, Boise Chapter and president of the Idaho Water Garden and Koi Society, Snake River Chapter. Ponding is FUN and addictive and rewarding. And you get to meet great new friend because of it too! Happy to meet you all!

Western, PA(Zone 6a)

A front yard pond is almost complete. The hole is dug. The liner is on its way. Flat stones have been collected from the local creeks. The pump will spray into the air about 2.5'. The wiring is in place.

It looks as though I had better plan another pond, just to catch up with the majority.

We have a 1/2 acre pond stocked with Bass and Yellow Perch and a hole waiting to be lined and landscaped that will be a Koi pond...hopefully real soon. This is at the NY home.

New Albany, MS(Zone 7a)

WE all need to see if we can't get up a pond plant trading page this fall and spring. Many of us have plants that will need to be divided and I feel as if there is enough of us to have a trading page just for ponds. What do yall think? And how do we go about getting one? Let's take a poll.

Kingston, GA(Zone 7b)

Your idea sounds great! :)

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Or ,we can make a thread that is a list of what you have and what you want.A wish list kinda. We did that on the brugs page but then the brug police came after us so we stopped. But since imports are not a big thing with ponds it would work here.

ME.ME,ME add me on!

Niles, MI(Zone 5a)

I vote for a pond plant trading page,I have traded with a lot of members and the plants are great

New Albany, MS(Zone 7a)

any suggestions on how we can do this?
