How heartbreaking Lindakay, you must be beside yourself, could it be Lizzie was too young for puppies?
Glad you are getting your eyes looked after
Darlene and John came earlier, Darlene had seen how i was struggling with the 2 attached hoses, new at least to me, made out of non coiling stainless steel, does 100ft and a hose stander that has the water attachment attached so i don’t have to climb up back deck to shut water off. They are just too good to me, i so appreciate their efforts.
Best/Worse/what did I learn today? Come join in, there is always a welcome to newcomers!
Quite day day, denturist I had seen last year called to see if i was interested in getting new dentures now that the Ontario gmt has approved dental for seniors, yep, they are so busy she said she would book my 5 appointments but first one wouldn’t be til july 8th..that is ok
Then Marie had told me friends of hers and Ted were in sod business, she told them i needed sod for under the gazebo, they dropped in with it, took 12 rolls, would charge me, even put it down for me along with Ted.
Got to use my new hose, watered for 1/2 hr, in the morning I will water even if it’s raining as rain won’t get under where sod is.
So a good day
oh Linda Kay - that IS heartbreaking. I suppose now that there are 2 Lizzie can nurse them? Are the other 2 spoken for or are you waiting until they get older?
Today Dianne & I went to Red Deer courthouse & commissioned her serving papers.
Then we went shopping lol Plants, groceries, soil, and Dollar Tree. Didn't get what we were looking for at Dollar Tree, but it was a very productive afternoon (after coffeetime). Another step done. I also found a free advice law firm, for 30 minutes. I would go to Red Deer for that, on Monday May 27th in the afternoon.
Yes, Lizzie isn't developed enough to have puppies. We are praying the last 2 make.
Beautiful lawn Betty. What a nice gift.
Susan, glad you got the paperwork done. And some shopping.
They are only 10 days old. We will sell them, when they are about 8 weeks. They sell for $800.00 a piece. It will be nice pocket change.
Good afternoon. Looks like everyone is busy.
Hope you all have an awesome weekend.
Lots of caring and loving to go in the next 6-7 weeks, here is hoping they are strong and they will survive. I am sure each and everyone of them touched your heart and have left a wake. As for pocket change there will be little left after vet bill.
Susan, I hope that this lawyer is able to provide help. Mind boggling, not sure if bob’s $$ have been addressed and you are both for the divorce what else can remain??
Beautiful day out there but i spent it in bed other than water the sod this morning and tonight big sigh
Going with Linda,Sharon and Suzanne tomorrow night for eats at Red Lobster, they close next week re bankruptcy, think i will be watching them eat lol
Sorry, I picked up my BFF Paula at the airport Wednesday night and it's been crazy busy. I will do a quick update & move on. I read and will comment later other than I am sorry you have lost another puppy Linda. Hopefully this will be the END Susan.
I have a family coming Monday to dismantle the shed. Stanley & Jenny seemed to have turned a corner on their relationship and are doing well. It's a relief to not be refereeing the pets!
I patched the holes in the wall from the electrical work & hope to paint & have the sewing room done SOON.
Sure hope you are feeling better soon Betty. Sad you can't go out and enjoy a meal with friends.
Pat, there is always something going on keeping you busy. Slow down and smell the flowers.
I have no idea if Bob's "for or against" the divorce. I haven't spoken to him since the beginning of December when he came by with the RCMP. Perhaps I'll talk to him on Friday at the courthouse. lol if he comes by with his girlfriend he'll be arrested on the spot!! They're not to be in contact with each other.
I had a good night's sleep last night. Taking the day off and if it doesn't rain this afternoon I'll mow the lawn.
Waiting for rain. You too Betty?
Zeke is doing well. The vet and I mutually decided to keep on the same path and not meddle with his meds. He is just a delight and a sweet boy. He loves to cuddle. I sleep on my side and I often feel him back into me to sleep. On a cold winter night I am grateful for his heat. He is 1 hot dog!!
Keiran will come on Thursday - his day off from Foodland. I hope to get some annuals in. I will go tomorrow and get 2 or 3 baskets to put on the large rocks in front of the house. I still need to get Warren's Begonia barrel planted.
Susan you will be so glad to have all this divorce business over. My first dud of a husband thought he was Columbo and played several tricks to avoid being served.
Grocery store was busy. I just needed a couple of things so was in and out quickly. I'm going to try a new casserole recipe. It sounds delicious.
LK how is Lizzie doing? I am sorry to hear about losing the pups. Are you in the storm's path?
Need to get moving before I fall asleep.
Lizzie and the 2 puppies are doing great. They are growing like a weed. Eyes haven't opened yet, but will soon.
Linda Kay - I thought eyes opened long before this. Glad to hear they're doing great :)
Bob wasn't avoiding being served, Dianne just didn't want to buzz his apartment in case he refused to let her in & would be wary.
I did some much needed house cleaning today, seeing as how it was my "day off" from volunteering. Nice to get the housework done, and let my Roomba do its thing lol I had to move a lot of stuff to make that happen, so now it's tidier, too.
Textured today, stirring paint and checking the color match. With luck, painting today. We are suddenly making what LOOKS like progress for a change.
Will I ever get to normal cleaning?? LOL
Morning, inclement weather today but that is ok, it’s a couch day.
Dianne come summer I am a 7a.m. shopper. Has Zeke had any seizures this week, will he outgrow them and Chaos? Hope Kieran gets your ‘to do’ list. Flower baskets sure have increased in price, wonder if their sales have taken a beating.
You’ve had a busy week Pat and sounds like this week will be much the same. With family taking down the shed will they take it or will you then be able to try and sell it? You are getting there, by fall you will be looking for things to do. Did you her back about the paint claim? What colour did you finally pick?
Susan, your weather nice enough for you to work in the gardens, what is your temps?
Think the rumba’s unless you don’t have a lot of furniture is great but I’d spend more time moving things around, likely quicker to do it yes/no?
Lindakay, need photo update of mom and puppies.did you get your machine part yet?
Has the realtor been doing showings?
Spent most of the day on couch yesterday, Melanie dropped in for a few hours then i got dressed, Sharon picked me up then Suzanne,Linda met us at Red Lobster. I was able to get the smallest desert dish of Alfredo noodles and had 2 bites and that was it for me, but e enjoyed.
I will spend day resting unless the sun shines then I will put the furniture back under the gazebo and water sod by hand.
Coffee time
Pat - what's "normal" cleaning? lol
Betty - my place is only 14x50 with a 240sq ft addition, no basement. Normal tidying up of stuff, and the iRobot is great. I have to put a divider in front of cords (computer) or it will get caught up in them and unplug them lol
Off to church - I'm the scripture reader today
Raining here today. Need to move furniture around, and finding more things that need cleaning. Ordered new windows for the house that are supposed to be installed on Weds. My old ones were original to the house, close to 100 years old. Storm windows are heavy and need to be mounted outside every fall. Most of the screens have fallen apart. It should have been done years ago.
Puppies eyes usually open when they are around 2 weeks old. I bet they'll be up on wobbly legs pretty soon. Then, there's no stopping them!
You will be warm and toasty Deb come winter, after 100 years those windows have done their job. Ohh wish I lived closer, what garden art I could make with them, you will have to do 1 to have as a keepsake.
Puppies are co cute when they are getting their sea eggs..you don’t have any puppies left do you Barb?
Finally gave in, in emerge, think the black stool scared me a tad, likely nothing though.. they took blood samples, about 20 ahead of me.. ohh well
Ahhh so small, so cute
Still sitting in waiting room. Big sigh
Praying you got home for a good night's sleep.
Linda, is the other dog still acting as a nurse mail as well? or only Lizzie feeding the puppies now?
Betty, sending good thoughts your way and prayers your way.
It's none of my "family" taking the shed down. In order to get the shed done in time, it went for free. When this mess is handled we will go thru the hoops to get a permit and have ANOTHER shed bought & constructed with a permit yatta yatta. I met someone on the community board, and he said he would help me file for a variance to get approval for more than 10 feet tall since we want a lofted barn.
The 2 remaining puppies are only nursing from thier grandma dog. My son's dog. Lizzies milk has completely dried up. They are doing really well. Growing like a weed.
I hope you can get your shed soon.
Betty, praying you are doing ok.
I got a call from a law firm that is doing a free clinic in Red Deer today and I'm taking my paperwork for the divorce and seeing what the judge wants in order for the filing to be "properly addressed " for the property. Time to be there is before 5pm.
Shed is coming down as I type....
Afternoon, heavy rain here today.
I got in at 2am, i believe they were as thorough as they could, yuk hate that injection they give you with the scan, anyway dr.fine came an and was kind of chuckling, said she found I had a bad stomach infection and pussy urine in eurethra (?) which had nothing to do with symptoms i went in for. Gave me scripts but when i went to my pharmacy he didn’t want to give me them, said far too many issues with these meds so I am waiting for a call when he get ok from doc to change them. She sent my reports to a specialist who will request a scope
Had coffee and a mud in today so that is a step up
Good luck Susan, hope you come home with answers
Lindakay did your son’s dog recently have puppies, i must have forgotten that. Big differences everyday I am sure.
Pat it’s great you’ve met someone on the board willing to help you on making the next shed to their guidelines..I hope Marie put you in charge
Dianne, you getting this rain?
Well I took my son and family to the airport at 12 noon. My sister is still here. She will be leaving Wednesday. My sister came for a 60th high school class reunion in our home town. She drove my car and my son had my daughter's car, who is in Asia, so I was without a car. Did not cause a problem.
Betty, I kept asking Google what pussy urine was and she kept telling me she could not answer. After the forth time, she sent me sites for sermons. Betty I so pray you get well and feel better.
We are in the 90s and all is well. I have the majority of my spring annuals replaced with summer annuals. Roses have already bloomed and been deadheaded. The rabbits from the golf course, after 23 years, have discovered my clover front lawn. They keep about the first 2' trimmed pretty short. In the spring I had vilet planted in the area and they grazed on them also.
You all are very busy.
Susan, I do hope you finally get the right advice to get rid of Bob. What a long drawn out ordeal.
Pat, you and you sister have really worked hard. Maybe by Christmas you two can start sewing again. So pleased you have had a couple of trips away with your family.
My son is a Colonel in the Army Reserve and is retiring this early fall. I guess it is a big deal. His wife is throwing him a big retirement party and we are all heading that way for the party.
They were in Las Vegas to attend a high school celebration for one of their best friend's children. Todd got in two rounds of golf with a high school buddy he met when they were about 10.
Linda, that is wild that grandma took over feeding the pups. Poor Linda, is the recipient of many crazy Instagram tricks I find.
Hugs to all of you.
And Love to all of the soldiers that assured we would live in a free country.
Sending a test message, as my messages have not been posting.
Betty, yes, my son's dog had 11 puppies 2 years ago. She is bring an awesome grandma dog feeding my puppies.
Susan, I pray you had good luck with your lawyer.
Sharon, you were busy today.
I love the tips you send me.
Betty, praying you get the proper meds soon.
Found out why the divorce was being refused - it was linked with Property Division, and that wasn't finalized. So, the lawyer said to go to court to have the two separated, then the divorce can go through on its own. My daughter (who used to be a paralegal in Winnipeg) said that maybe the property issue will just go away because it's been addressed according to me & the RCMP & a judge's ruling last May. I sure hope so. Regardless, I will get the forms on Friday & ask for a court date to get the two issues separated.
I'm off this morning to a Crib Tournament.
Praying it all goes smoothly for you Susan.
Sure does get complicated for you Susan, here is hoping you can finally put this behind you. Hope your cards help you win.
Lordy Sharon, your family sure travel, you are great at keeping their schedules so you know where you are. Not sure why but I’ve never been to a school reunion and only kept in touch with a few from those days due to moving out of the area for so many years.
But I bet the rabbit are lovely to watch, the grey one in my back yard early spring has not been since in several weeks, maybe he moved on to greener pastures. Odd I dont
think of rabbits in your area. You must be out early morning to garden seeing it’s in the 90’s, I still remember going to Cracker Barrel not to far from you and was amazed at how wonderful their porch mister was going all around their decking, so soothing. Maybe you should have one installed in the pretty sitting area we sat in. The retirement celebration for your son will be wonderful, am sure you are so proud of him, thank him for his service.
Lindakay, I didn’t realize a mommy dog would have milk for so long, that is how much I know about pregnancies lol Where you in the path of the storms and could you still be?
Rain just stopped, suppose to start again at 4, should get ambitious and go out and do something with being sick last 2-3 weeks not much got done. A friend asked if she could drop in around 3 so took a quick run to Foodland and got desert.
Still no script, pharmacy doesn’t think what doctor Fine ordered I should take sooo waiting
There are major storms here, but we got just a sprinkle. Bad part of the storm hit just east and south of us. Supposed to hit Dallas pretty hard. They have had several bad storms this past week. Parts of it is still flooded and no power.
Praying you get your meds soon.
A good pharmacist can save a person lots of problems
How tragic Lindakay, Mother Nature is not happy with the world. Praying it misses Dallas. With so many without power and flooding and in so many areas it will take forever to get power back on. Poor souls..
Pat, you are right, after my doctor’s secretary taking a fit when I called to see if my doctor could call pharmacy re different meds I went back to pharmacy, he went through everything, he even went to the doctor who is in same building, they pulled up er report, I got meds but also got requisition for blood tests he wants done early Friday because by then I will have 4 pills into me. He is hoping that they will have results by Friday afternoon and if he feels something not quite right will send me for another blood test Monday.
Aunt Muriel had a sunshine day for her burial. Saw relatives/friends I hadn’t seen in quite awhile. Felt chilled when I got home so here I am, laying on couch, heating blanket on think8mg what I should try to eat at supper.
KyWoods, sorry I’ve not responded, sure did mean to..how are you doing?
Wondering if anyone has heard from ‘teacup’
Not sure why, tried to start new thread a few times, isn’t working
Finally went thru, here we are, a sunshine patio awaits us
