I am so sorry to hear that Susan. There are no words to heal your wounds right now, but healing will come.

Where is Betty. She has been missing for a couple of days.

We are going to be 88 today and 91 tomorrow and then back down to the low 80s. I will have to hand water many things today but there is a 10 mph breeze and with this heat, it will dry out everything.

I am having a problem with my fire/burglar alarm system. It needs service and beats at ungodly times in the middle of the night to remind me. The first time it alerted me, low battery, I contacted the company. That was early Friday. They said they would call when they had someone on the way. No call yesterday and no call so far today. This morning it went off at 3:30, 5:30, 7 and 9. I haven't replaced the battery for close to 6 years and only do so when the system alerts us. They cost close to $100. But mine is an old system, maybe not enough money in it for them. I just called them and they told me they have not scheduled a trip to my home yet, but did tell me how to deactivate the system.

I am sorry Susan, He made the choices himself and must bear the consequences. He knew what it would take to make the marriage work, to earn trust, & didn't do it. I respect all the effort you put into giving him this opportunity to make things right.

We had lots of family drama. Friday, my Adam's stepdaughter, "Sam" took the bus to school and then disappeared. She knew she was required to spend spring break with her bio father & this was her way of getting out of it.

When they finally tracked her down, she revealed that she was afraid to go, her father's temper scared her. She had learned that earlier he had struck his developmentally delayed 18 YO stepson hard enough to rupture an ear drum & had 2 Child protective services findings. One stemming from a black eye he gave Samantha's 1/2 sister years ago. On top of THAT, Sam's DD stepbrother had touched her inappropriately and she had told her father & stepmother. They blew it off saying with the DD, there was nothing to be done about it!!!

What a circus and nightmare. Son & wife called police and were instructed to drive to the town it took place in & file report (an hour away). Hopefully this will not result in a contempt of court findings against them because they are NOT delivering Sam for spring break. You can bet that there will be another costly court battle. It had to be well after midnight before they got home last night by the time they drove all the way back to Wooten (another 2 hours from here).

Evening all, sorry I’ve been MIA, no energy days..slept all afternoon than bed at 4..gabbed to mom for 1 1/2 hrs and or ready to close my eyes.

Susan how very sad after all these years but it sure looks like he has no intention of giving up this woman so leaves you but divorcing..do hope you have a support group in your area to be there for you

Hope it’s easy and affordable to get housing in your region, Worse is wanting out and not being able to.

Pat, you’ve had quite a time of it as well, here is hoping that police can speak with sam. to why she is so fearful not wanting to go.. no way should she made to go..these breakups are so Stan on these poor kinds

3 times I’ve dozed off in typing, drqopped ipad so saying night night

Pat, first of all how old is Sam. Second a DD boy has no idea what he is doing but his brain and body is still that of a male and he will try an try again becuse it makes him feel good. We had a loan officer that brought her DD son to work on certain days before his father picked him up. He decided he loved my secretary and would not leave her alone. We talked to the mother and father but they kept saying he was harmless. But he was not and kept getting very persistent. Finally HR got involved, loan officer and husband were outraged but the DD boy could no longer come into the office. But they made it easy because they said no children of employees could come into the office. One time he got a hold of my secretary and it took 3 of us to get him unhooked with his arms around her. That was the final straw. And we kept an eye on him like a hawk. We had experience with him from a very young age, but when he hit puberty, all hell broke loose.

I just came into th back to water. Spent over an hour in the front. My SIL i coming over to help me disconnect the battery on the alarm. No new system, just a new battery.

Betty, glad you are OK. And that you listened to your body. What in the world did you talk to your mother about for 2 1/2 hours. I do not know anyone I could talk that long to. God Bless you, you are a wonderful daugher. You all have a wonderful Easter.

Likely she has passed, not the kind of untruth rumour you hear
