Victoria Harbour, ON

Debbie and Paul just left, here is hoping trip home is as good as it was coming..we went to Midland Swiss Chalet, no need for me to cook tonight.

Hope all goes well crossing the border, their vehicle sure had a load.

No reason Debbie can’t join us in the Sewing of projects as I sent a Sewing Machine home with her lol

Oh my, she is bringing home a table, chairs and a sewing machine. I know she is in heaven. Can't wait to see what she creates first.
Betty you are so generous.

In Nov. my "son" got me a new computer. I finally decided today to make the switch I have most everything in place but I might need some help with the rest. Also might need to hook the old one back up to grab a few things I forgot. I've not kept up too well on the techy end of things so a bit at sea in places.

We are under a flood watch no end in sight for the rain. Hubby just went down to check basement, all is well.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

We get high wind storms, earlier this week TUMBLE WEEDS blowing closed a highway!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good luck with the new computer Karen. Praying you don't get flooded.

Pat, when we lived in Lubbock, Texas, the tumble weeds were horrible.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Good morning..

Omg my heart goes out to you having to watch for flooded basement. Still laying in bed and come on every few minutes, our ground is not frozen so makes it easy for melting water to have easy access..here is hoping no flood for you..not sure why but I visualized you being on a hill.

I am not computer savey at all..few things I need done so will have to ask Jeff to come and do it or I’d have no computer if I touched it.

Only saw tumbleweed in western movies, looks cool..trying to remember if a did see one, wonder wgphere in my travels I would have?

Lyndonville, NY

Betty, there were tumbleweeds at our "haunted gas station" and the airport we ended up at. That is what made it so eerie! BUT The gas station had the most.

Yes, Betty was very gracious and I feel like is Christmas again! Our chairs were so misshapen and not safe. Old cane back metal chairs bent to horrible uncomfortable to sit in. I had recovered them a few times...but, not worth saving. This set will also give us more room in the dining room.

And I am excited to get at the sewing machine. This weekend I am hoping for some energy to do the cleaning and makeover of the dining room. BUT....most depends my MRI tonight

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

What is the MRI for? Praying you get good results.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Was out all day, this transition from country to the more modern look will take some time lol

Debbie, will be waiting for your update

Forgot while,I,was,in back shed to look for Valentine’s Day tote..found some things in closets and now I’ll decorate.

Couldn’t believe I found place Matt’s same colour as chair/bench fabric.

Just climbed into bed

Linda Kay I hurt my shoulder around THanksgiving. Nursed it as should, but it was getting worse. Saw the orthopaedic, who set up MRI. Of course the machine broke the day before my scan, so had to reschedule. THey think Rotator cuff injury. I had right one done 8 years ago....left side turn.

Oh Betty you are so far ahead of the rest of us. Tree & everything else is still up and will stay until the rest get home and take it down.

My youngest daughter celebrated her 55th birthday today by climbing a rock wall. Amazing

I got my Christmas down & all the decorations hauled to barn (thank you paid help neighbor boys for being my legs!) I even got my office tree changed out to Valentine. I would love to get a Valentine wall hanging done & UP at the office, maybe even one for the entry here at home... likely not!

I drive to pick up 2 of my sewing machines from repair, Marie & I will shop while we are in Walla Walla. It's an hour away and other than the quilt shop and classes, there is nothing to draw us to W2 usually. She wants to check out the thrift stores.

Ben is getting stronger, not impressed with most of the facility but at least the Physical therapy seems to have it together.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Beautiful decorations Betty.

Debbie, praying you have an easy fix for your shoulder.

Glad to hear Ben is getting stronger. Are they watching his diet as well?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Glad Pat that Ben is getting stronger and somewhat adapting..a day with your sister will up your spirits..

Thought we might have seen Debbie post.

Karen I did 3 phone holders, enlarged both outer and inner and perfect for my I pad..instead of the 1/2 inch I made it 3/4..perfect..stands strong, guess it’s the corduroy.

LIndakay when does your group start up again?

Imagine, I forgot about 4 totes I had put between entrance going into craft room, ground is bare so am waiting until tomorrow when they say snow is coming so I can use toboggan..

Doesn’t look like my tire has gone down any, trying to decide if I want to go into town and have them check it out or wait. I am so darn comfy in my Jammie’s hate to get dressed, on the other side, could pick up Chinese for supper lol

I looked at one of the Valentine’s Day throws I started, think I was using up scraps, guess I can just add anything to it seeing it’s only out for a few weeks, guess I have to look and see if I’ve red scraps, know I’ve tons of white (maybe not, likely snowflakes on it)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, Debbie posted last night. Praying for her to have an easy fix for her shoulder.

Pat, glad to hear Ben in gaining strength.

Beautiful decorations Betty.

I won't get results til Friday the 10th Betty.
Machine was just too claustrophobic for me but did it.

Woke up to that white stuff everywhere. First snow since about Dec. 15 or so. Christmas was green.

I need to go get groceries and no energy.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Thanks LIndaKay, know she was having furtherestsand I was hoping she had results.

Karen, I am terrified of heights, yikes she is brave..happy birthday to her.

Didn’t get dressed today so likely won’t..

Played with valentine day scrappies, rather than throw them away made a banner of sorts, 3 cel-iPad holders(thank you Karen) think all future ones will be in corduroy..now I’m knitting. If I get another burst of energy I’ll do a few more holders.

Corduroy is a good idea.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, meant to say our quilting group starts back this coming Wed.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Linda, I will bet you are looking forward to your group meeting! I missed the Craft Warehouse one in December, just didn't have time to attend.

Ben is getting controlled portions, no seconds & tiny serving of dessert, no access to other food so I am sure he's losing weight.

Marie & I spent the WHOLE day in Walla Walla We went in thrift stores, Overstock stores etc. Picked up my sewing machines from repair and I'm anxious to sit and sew. I drove straight to the SNF to see Ben. Didn't get there until after 7PM!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sounds like you had a great day.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, suppose to be a high of 29F today, snow lurking but so far ok.

Pat, great news re Ben, is his stay kind of open duration or is it specific time frame? Room on his own?

Won’t it be great to be back into a routine?

Karen, you should have known better than posting such easy and useful projects...
I’ve 10 made lol...thank you, I’m enjoying them, girls come Tuesday and I will share with them.

Have a list of groceries that needs bought but I hate to get dressed, been living 8n my nightie and it feels good. Ziggy is laying next to be just a purring, he has been out several times but not interested in staying out. I’m now on the couch knitting, perhaps it’s the wood that is interesting him.

Think I will take spaghetti sauce out for supper, haven’t cooked in in a few days so don't plan starting today...now if I got energy I could do groceries and get Kentucky fried chicken that I’ve been craving but that would mean getting out of my Jammie’s lol

I looked at air flights for Fort Myers late February/March, tempted

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I bet Florida sounds nice and warm to you.
Any word from your surgeon yet?

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Betty I had a lot of fun making them too. Now I will have to be on the watch for something for next Christmas....Good Grief, I'm turning into you.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

You say that like it's a BAD thing Karen! LOL.... I LOVE easy fun (and cheap!) projects! I have ordered the beads so should be in production soon too!

Ben has a single room, open ended stay. If he makes fast enough progress maybe home soon. Not enough progress? NOT coming home. Making GOOD progress and more to be made, AND he desires to stay longer to continue progress; he'll stay longer. I am not guessing at this point.

It's not the world's best care but I think the advantages outweigh the negative. The PT EVERY day, more likely to shower (because I tell staff to get it done!), the weight loss due to limited access, those are huge positives in my thoughts.

Betty, here, you can almost have ANYTHING delivered! Pay for "Uber" or UberEats and other delivery services. I am basically too cheap to have delivery but lots of people do. I won't even have pizza delivered given a choice! Ben would, in a heart beat!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Lindakay, both my doctor and surgeons offices were closed for 2 weeks, I will start calling my doctor to put pressure on..actually I had hoped he would have done his visit today..

Karen, so cute..if you please share and I’ll do same. Have one on coffee table, because of changes my iPad has a new home. Been on couch all afternoon covered in my no sew Xmas blanket and looking on Pinterest but nothing has caught my eye, big sigh. Maybe what I need first is to determine if it’s just a project or a Xmas present right?

Pat, what k8nd of beads..our Judy used to do a lot of beading, likely doesn’t anymore because of grands taking up all her time.

I know is sounds terrible of me but I’m hoping (in a good way) that Ben stays for a longer period of t8me so you can yourself heal, you have had a rough time of it physically and mentally..so much on your shoulders, l8ke more than a 3 week stint will be needed for you. Hugs

What have you all been doing to pass this Sunday?
