I got some gifts wrapped..and a little more decorating done. I drove down to the lake to go for a walk but where I wanted to go was all ice-covered. So I went to the Parkette and just sat in my car with a McD' coffee and looked at the lake.

Oh my I lost you !! I know I clicked on the icon for Watch but it says no.

The cataract surgery for my left eye did not go as smoothly as the right one. The doc promised me 20/20 vision but I need readers to read and use the computer. What a pain in the grocery store. Sight in the right eye is clear .... I haven't been able to see things at a distance this clear like forever. I had to stare at a very bright light for about 10 min and it dried out an edge of my cornea. They assured me it will heal in time. I know KGH is a teaching hospital but I would prefer not to be the patient. A resident did the eye and I felt a painful tug at 1 point as she pulled off the old lens. Anyway I am down to 2 drops 4 times a day for the next 3 weeks. Woo hoo !!

Diesel is improving daily. He can get up on the bed by himself now. He doesn't seem to be in pain.His barker works just fine ! They have not been on a walk due to my eyes and their misadventure. I didn't want Diesel over extending his leg. They will both have to be leash walked for awhile. They have a huge fenced enclosure so have lots of room to race around.

You all sound so busy shopping and getting ready for Christmas.

I'm just about over a nasty bout with a cold - hacking hard enough that I went to the Dr's and he got x-rays & bloodtests (all normal) but still wheezing & hacking almost a week after he gave me a puffer, last Thurs afternoon. Ah well - between the puffer & cold/flu otc he advised, I'll get better. Pharmacist said that when I finish my cough that I'm to come in for a pneumonia shot. I agree that, with my wonky lungs, I need it.

Morning. Weather yesterday was horrific..mom was aunt Muriel’s and wanted to go to vets for specialty food for her dog then visit me..told her to stay off the roads, she did not drop in so hoping she took my advice.

Dianne, omg that a worry, didn’t realize the student doctors would be able to do such specialized surgery..guess they have to learn but yikes...thank goodness Diesel is slowly improving, and no long lasting effects for both you.

Susan, those cold are difficult to rid yourself of, pneumonia shot a must..trying to remember, I got one a few years ago,mid it like shingle shot, you get them once in a lifetime?

Got quite a bit done yesterday, aching/paining like crazy but fighting it..sat down, Sharon called, I said I was putting final coats on my 3 cookbook covers and all of a sudden my heart stopped..I had painted the 3 back covers vs tops....what a mess I’m in..thought of how I could salvage, don’t want to start all over, but means I have to go to Home Depot at 7 in hopes they have right made board and are willing to try c7tt8ng sides of painted ones..here is hoping.

If not this girl will be painting for the next 3 days..should not have started these being in condition I’m in..too late promised I’d do them, so I must..feel like I’d be letting me down

Praying there is an easy fix.

Just got back, young man was so helpful, of course at 7a.m.there wasn’t many shopper, I explained what I wanted to do, he cut edging off as much as he could and made new backs, backs I don’t mind, I can just roll..guess I’ve added better of a day to get backs done..hoping the additional work this is causing in on the front it done by late afternoon then I will go to Sharons, her son is up and he can do the hinges.

Morning all..
Just stopping in to say hello. I have been helping my son buy Christmas gifts online. We had a session on the phone and he would tell me what he is looking for and I would order it on Amazon or Canadian tire. Then I would send him the link to the item..and he would choose the colour etc. What an easy way to shop! It will all arrive on Monday.
I was at a shop yesterday buying some new boots ..got some good ones..leather with lambswool lining..as I was leaving the shop I spied a wonderful tote bag. It will be a Christmas gift for my niece who bought a sailboat with her hubby last year. It says "Seas The Day" on it. with rope handles..just like the ropes on a sailboat.

Betty, glad you managed to salvage your cookbook project. You take on so many things. and not feeling the best, mistakes can happen.

Susan..seems a few people have colds..my daughter being one of them, also my helper Mike. Hope you feel better soon.

No dental pain - it is just residual affects from my cataract surgeries.

Glorious day here...... sunny but cold. I spent some time outside this morning cleaning up the TH's enclosure. It was quite nice out there.

The TH are antsy - I haven't been able to do our usual walks. They will get a big surprise when we do venture out as they will be on leashes. Oh the Horror of it all !! lol Their yard is so big I am not concerned about them getting enough exercise. I toss a ball around out there a few times a day. Diesel looks at me like I am crazy but Chaos loves to chase around.We 3 are just used to a lot of exercise each day.

Were you able to sleep well last night Betty ? That full moon shining down in the bedroom Wed and last night was lovely but not great to help one sleep. I could have read a book by the moonlight if I had wanted to do so.I don't have any window coverings of any kind. Way out here there is no need plus I like to look out and see what is going on. There was an owl in the tree closest to the house last night.

Out all day shopping, ran my bath, using some of the bath goodies Debbie gave me to soak in then bedtime for me, this shopping has plum done me in..g

Dianne, when I drove into town this morning there was the biggest sun dog, all around us got mega snow but we didn’t, touch wood.can just see you bantering around with the TH.

I called the specialist and told them the amount of pain I’m 8n, said I’d go any day,time,hospital..she said she would review and put me closer to top of list. Said the surgeons are working till Friday and off for 2 week.

D inane, you asked about this weekend, Rita is coming tomorrow afternoon to do a set of cedar gnomes, depending what time she finishes will determine if she is spending the night or not. Too much shopping today to go to Sharons so Brian can do the hinges, I’ll go early morning.

You are right Carole, already thinking about how I will spend my time after Christmas lol..as long as nothing happens with the hinges I’ve just to put the pages in..won’t be sad when they are wrapped..so many people are shopping amazon and the likes..bet local businesses are hurting.

Did you ever get ahold of your surgeon?

I'm feeling fine Betty.
I've received awful news today. My cousin, the one with the same cancer as I have and also dementia, is in the hospital with a brain bleed and not expected to make it. She has had several "falls" lately that all seemed to involve hitting her head. I'm sorry but I'm not convinced it was just falls. Her husband said they all happened when her caregiver was there. Monday he put her in a care home and left for Texas on a business trip. Also her CML was in remission as is mine and he took her to a naturalist for care and she was taken off her medication. No real reason for that to happen as it was completely covered by his veterans medical.
I'm so terribly upset and hoping somehow this can all be investigated as to what was happening to her. She's totally lost in her dementia and doesn't even know her mother or daughter.

I finished all the phone pillows, mostly plain and a few chickens one of which I goofed up and made upside down. Was about to redo it when Payton grabbed it and said he wanted it...go figure.
I quit when I run out of something so nylon beads were out first. all done.

Linda there is a Laura Coia on You tube with some great tutorials. I didn't quite do just as hers but I used her measurements. I did not put in the inner pillow and I did not do hand sewing. I figured how to do by machine, I just can't do that much by hand. HINT: it's just as easy to make two at a time as to just make one.

I watch her all the time. I will look for that video

Bright day out there..

Broke down this morning and went to emerge as pain in left shoulder blade, sweats, numbness in fingers, well just thought I should go, saId it is not my heart so that was good news..said the shoulder blade is all knotted, all nerves being affected, nothing they can, all in hands of surgeon..called my doctors office, she will put me on doctors list to drop in and see me, will call surgeon to tell him of urgency, in the meantime it’s pain city!!

Middle of the night hello..

Thanks Lindakay, I have done a few of her projects ..the 3 hr. Dimensional throw was quick and easy, looks nice at end of spare bedroom bed.. will give the phone rest a try, have loads of those pebbles left from the frogs I made

Up for meds but think I will take advantage of early morning energy seeing I’m wide awake.
