That is a wild shade of green for sure

I wonder how often this would need watered?

In your climate I would say pretty often Gypsi

Thanks Ju

Keith, how does it do on landscape type pix? The closeups are gorgeous

Oxdrift, Canada

Hi Kitt. I will try to get you an answer to that soon. Been busy and the yard is kind of a mess as it was very dry and now has gone to the other extreme; 5.5 inches of rain in 2 days and lightning damage to a huge tree that I doubt will survive. Yesterday we spent all day helping Wendy's much older brother deal with a flooded basement.

Fort Worth, TX

Wow, you've got our weather Keith. Drought and flood. very bright colors on those flowers

Oxdrift, Canada

Another 1.5 inches over night and more coming Sunday. Sometimes there are advantages to living on top of a hill!

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

Took this with Keith in mind while visiting Arborgate Thurs. Always take damage control pics Keith, it helps you utilize after thoughts.
My pineapple sage appears to want more water, but I wish it would flower. I am really abusing it since it is so crowded, but it is growing really well. Asparagus crowns survived their move but am allowing it to fern this summer.
I packed these bread and butter pickles, but it looks as if I could have done better. Taste is good! Last of the tomatoes. I need more upper bracing.
Mornings here have really Watery type sunshine, but no rain yet.

I am about to lay my tomatoes down so they will put down upper roots for fall.

Pretty tired, one pond too many

Anderson, IN(Zone 6a)

I have a scarlet sage growing , do not know if it will bloom or not ,
A few tomatoes the the little yellow hybrids are only now producing here ,

Doing Diy projects on the house seeing Dr's appt's and such bruised from blood test
Doing errands and seeing plants , I wear out myself , feeling good though ,,

Thanks for your thoughts Kitt. Nice cactus display

I am just glad to be home. Had helper work on the dent in my truck yesterday while I potted, repotted plants and dug out the volunteer turks caps to pot for friends. Got to wanting my metal edging for the flowerbed this morning and realized it was under a pallet of rock. So I've unloaded the rock, made myself a smoothie and sitting down in the ac. My helper clued me in on what last year's frozen peaches and blackberries are good for. I have a lot more peach smoothies in my freezer from last year

need to go out and spray the juvenile leaf footed bugs on my maximillian sunflowers. soapy water does the trick

New sunflower developed specifically for containers: Sunbuzz. Will be interesting to see how long the blooms last and how ugly it gets if you deadhead because I'm not thinking I want to leave the heads on to feed the birds in my pots. May be my first and last experience with these? Time will tell

Keith, the plants look so healthy and clean. Everything here is covered with dust.

Oxdrift, Canada

They have been well washed lately. Raining again today.

Fort Worth, TX

I think it has finally quit raining here, but not sure

Oxdrift, Canada

Kitt, you be the judge. Here are 3 landscape shots. Not sure if I'm being too critical but I feel everything has a haze over it. Maybe the high humidity is affecting the camera

Sorry Kitt, the first one here was supposed to be one of the three. Also nice close up of our lettuce. LOL

looks like what my phone does. If I focus close I seem to have a bit of a haze in everything else

Oxdrift, Canada

I am thinking the fog yesterday may have been due to extremely high humidity. This one taken this morning seems pretty clear. Our humidity gas been through the roof. Our little bar fridge has glass doors and you can't even see through them , the condensation is so heavy.

Keith, everything looks fantastic. Do you ever get to sit on that bench. Your lettuce looks beautiful. Baskets are beautiful as always.

JU, how are your tests going? I posted on two other threads. Check them out.

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

humidity does the blueing on landscapes, also was a problem when my phone was brand new...after it updated a few times the color adjusts better. Sun angle can also play color tricks on your pics, and light intensity drastic adaptations. Houston always has that condensation. Everyones a/c is set at 70* and outside windows are fogged - I grab a squeegee and blade them down saves washing later, have to use vinegar with soap to get the green that grows on them to clean up tho. I do understand windows fogging.

Oxdrift, Canada

Thanks Sharon. No that bench is strictly ornamental.
Kitt, another problem I am having is with my photos backing up into Google Photos if that is the right way to say that. They say it may be because of the higher quality of the version 9 photos. Some of them are taking a couple of days and others are nearly instant. So most of the time I can't just snap and go into the house and post as I do all my posting with my tablet rather than the phone. I forgot how frustrating it can be getting a new phone!
Another shot from today. New colour of thunbergia

WOW about the green on the windows.

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

Green on Windows, chuckl pic1 cleaned last summer. We washed and painted the house. Pic 2, our lower windows swing down to clean, but this one window had green frost before I got to it. Power washing houses and outdoor items is a once a year necessity. Pic3 is every morning condensation from just about after dark til 10 am here. If you walk outside your skin does the same thing. We get more humidity than rain I believe. Pic4 garden. Pic5 African Blue basil going crazy near the pineapple sage

That's some serious humidity Kitt. I thought you guys were way drier!
Some very pretty pics in the second group

Fort Worth, TX

Is that a crinum lily Kitt? I have one similar but darker pink from a DG plant swap, the giver called it a crinum.

north Texas is less humid, the closer to the gulf of mexico the more humid it gets. I get foggy windows rarely, in the morning, and set the AC at 77

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

That is definitely a crinum. I cannot believe the moisture on your windows. Amazing to see.

I picked my sister up from the airport and we stopped by Trader Jo for some supplies. We are going ti have a salad and fresh tomatoes for dinner. To hot for much else.

I got home at 3pm and spent close to an hour getting Vern's son Brian onto my Netflix account. He is not computer suave. I was ready to tear my hair out but he would never know that. Finally got him in and working.

My daughter just showed up to see her Aunt Bobbie. I will try to return.

Another calla.
Enjoy your company Sharon.

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

My bad - is a crinum. Love the calla. Only decent time to be in South Texas is the winter. Awesome weather then and you don't feel the jungle will grow over the top of you

Oxdrift, Canada

Does the senna bush bloom Ju?

Anderson, IN(Zone 6a)

Keith yellow blooms , in pyramid form when they bloom correctly about 6 or 8 inches with a lupine type individual flower , It bloomed last year only not as nicely as it could of , I think it needs a larger space ,
When it blooms in August here I will show them
latin , is Senna Herbecarpa I believe that is the spelling , Host plant for clouded sulphur butterfly also , or hair rinse herb ,,,lol

Winter Springs, FL(Zone 9b)

Wow, Keith your garden arrangements are just breathtaking, I am not that creative at all. The lettuce looks so perfect. Your new cell phone is doing a nice job, I have to get a new one, hubs has a Samsung Galaxy S9 and I've always liked how nice his photos come out. I'm tired of the iphone, too expensive.

All the flowers are so beautiful you all are posting.

Ju, The Angel Trumpet is Brugmansia, not sure the exact one, but someone recently said it is 'Ecuador Pink' it is a start from my Dad's plant.

Kitt my porch vinyl windows are getting green on them too, I cleaned them all so good last winter, you'd never know now.

Some unusual plants around the garden, hairy balls milkweed, Tillandsia blooming, Shrimp plant, and a Billbergia bromeliad bloom

Wow Sherri that is a pretty exotic assortment. I will reserve comment on the milkweed as it may be inappropriate LOL.
