How many of you remember the old "Blue Waltz" perfume you could get at Woolworths ?It was in a blue heart shaped bottle and cost about a quarter.Smelled like vanilla.I think that was the first perfume I ever bought as a young teen (early fifties). You guys are probably all too young to remember that...LOL
What is your favorite Perfume?
I've been hooked on Chloe Narcissus for years but it is getting harder and harder to find. I had to ask a local retailer to order it for me last bottle.
Ruby what a cute stiry. I love Tabu, And alot of other Name brands but i buy the Generic ones as thats all i can afford. But i wear perfume everyday. i think it makes me feel better. :)
I love Tabu too with black cap on it so it has two different color with black or pink caps not same smell.
I adore Sand & Sable. I just ran out, too! I also love "Calming Waters" by Bath & Body Works; have half a bottle left and I'm stingy with it now because they discontinued that fragrance line. Waaaaah. People sell it on eBay and other sites, but now it's really pricey, like liquid gold you'd think! I also like Tabu. I'm not a big perfume wearer because of sinus problems, but on good days I really enjoy a dab or two. Just a dab'll do ya.
Oh paul! your always good for a laugh.. I love your sense of humour!!!
I love palermo piccasso.... aromatics elixer by clinique and white musk bythe body shop. mmmmmmm
Paulie,
Try Cool Water it smells alot better than that there compost .... Better yet pour a little ON the compost....
Paul LOL
I don't bother with scent, if I'm lucky I may get a perfume in a present every few years but I don't buy it for myself.
I've often remarked on how much better people smell without perfumes. Give me the scent of a freshly washed, clean living person anyday.
I really like a nice fresh floral scent as in the body splashes.Splash it everywhere(oh no,) I mean the kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedroom, etc)Iget europhic when i smell "white shoulders" I can't afford it either!I wish "jungle gardenia" weren;t so strong, it speaks to me also.I like avons honeysuckle after bath splash.
Thank you all and enjoy to hear what your's favorite is.
=)
Hey RR..just found this..been enjoying reading all the favs..brought back memories of all the perfumes I have used over the years..
When I was a kid..the first perfume I used was Evening in Paris..anyone remember that?
Je Reivens was a favorite for many years..for some reason I don't care for it anymore..
then came ..Charlie, Chloe,
White linen..and Beautiful by Estee Lauder Lauren..for awhile
and then I discovered
Tresor by Lancome..and have been using it for over six years I think..expensive..though..I buy it at duty free when I go on a trip..or when there is a bonus pack sale along with the purchase of the perfume.
Starzz, I have that listed above as a favorite too!!! You know I found that the Tresor lotion ($25.00 for a pump bottle) is just as good as the perfume!! It is expensive but I love it!!!!!!!!
sue
Hey Sue..I have the lotion and I agree..you don't need the perfume if you put that on..
but WOW..$25.00 ..that is a good price..
I'm in Canada.so it is more expensive here..but if you think of the exchange on Can. dollars to US dollars..I suppose it is about the same.
I di notice when I was reading that you are the only other one who wears it..Expensive..yes..but we are worth it! LOL
Evening in Paris was my favorite growing up-My mom wore this all the time-Brings back lots of memories. The only way to get that brand now is to bid on it at an auction. The perfume doesnt smell the same but those blue bottles and silver tops are still so pretty. =]
My mom used love to buy the perfume "Wind Song" that is her favorite but not anymore because not the same smell now. She get diappointed.
Oh, Redrose, I just hate when they change my fragrance or makeup! Our chemistry changes some anyway, but the manufacturers change their formula to use cheaper ingredients. I would prefer to pay more, use it sparingly and enjoy the original. I have learned that buying overseas or having a friend bring it back is the only way to get some brands. Also, the bath oils for Shalimar and Chanel 22 are a better buy, as they last longer when you wear them. I used to occasionally wear Estée Lauder Youth Dew, but only used a little of the bath oil, and only for special occasions when I would be able to bathe before it became too "ripe". Not for the office! Forgot to mention one of my all time favorites, D'Orsay Intoxication! Anyone have a bottle to trade for my kingdom?
Woodspirit - the japanese designer one is 'Issy Miyake's eau issy'
personally i love Eternity by Calvin Klein, i used to like Dune by Christian Dior, but i've gone off it a bit, its a bit overpowering. Tendre Poison is nice, the original is too strong for me.
