What is your favorite Perfume?
My favorite perfume is Opium and Poison but since they are so expensive and I can't afford them I settle for charlie (original blue bottle)
Obsession, my DH loves that stuff.
Mine is Chloe and navy.
Channel #5. But most perfumes cause an instant asthma attack for me.
Cinnabar and Pavlova...but DH can't handle scents,so I haven't bought any in awhile.
depends on the season for me..
my favorite of all is escada
summer is sunflowers
fall is red door
spring 5th avenue
winter chloe
i have tons of avon perfumes that i bought because i had to have them, but i always seem to go back to my old faithfuls
jen
Vanilla extract - no, REALLY!!! I used to use it on my hair after I colored it (don't do that anymore) to cut the chemical scent and my grandson would sit in my lap and sniff me like a pupppy! "Grandma! You smell like a cookie!"
now, I just use it like perfume! I have several scent allergies, but not vanilla - I love it!
1. Happy, by Clinique
AND
2. Treasor by Lancome
I just love them both!!!!!!!!!!
A close third is the oldy but goody triangle bottle of Liz Claborne!!!!!!!!!

My favorite I always used to get from Avon, but it is no longer available.:-( I really don't have a favorite now.I don't wear that much perfume, cause have to be very careful on what I do put on. It's either too strong, or you can't smell it at all and then there are some that effects me. So I have to say I don't wear any. I'm too tight. Don't want to spend the money for perfume and then not like it,then what does a person do with it;except spray around in the room or add to bath water, put I'm a shower person. Now some body sprays I use after my shower that I like. I'm more on the mild scents.Nothering overpowering.
I use Jessica Mc Clintock and second, favorite is Eternity! Love the flowery scent. Doris
White Diamonds, I don't buy it anymore as I'm home all time and too stingy.
Carolina Herrera is my all time favorite. I like White Shoulders and Chloe too, but usually reach for the CH.
The ones I use have been mentioned already..Channel#5 and Tova.....sometimes Shalimar..
Gloria Vanderbilt. This time of year you can get a bottle of perfume and a bottle of lotion for about $20, been wearing only that for many eyars.
Ginlyn, 2 christmas's ago DH bought me a BIG bottle of Shalimar. Well let me tell you I did not like it on me at all, so being the wonderful wife that I am I searched for the reciept (yes in his wallet) when I found it I needed oxygen!!!!! It cost $250.00!!!!!! Well I sure wasn't going to let it just sit and evaperate, so I went to Macy's with the reciept and bought myself 3 bottles of perfume (that I liked) and a great new Nine West bag!!!!! I also had enough for gas, lunch and some other spending money!!!!!
He never did notice what I did and I did not have the heart to tell him but I sure was a happy girl after that day at the mall!!!!! (he-he)

Spellbound by Estee Lauder. Love it!
Rapture by Victoria Secrets and Miracle by Lancome
in the summer I wear White Linen by Estee, in the winter Joy, and in between seasons Issey Miyake
my son knew i love fragrance. during holidays, he would check with me and replace the ones i used to buy - Jean Patou, Boucheron, Must de Cartier & Aqua d'Gio. each perfume is use accdg to occassion i attend. everyday wear i love Avon's Imari & Rubies: Lauren is my favorite everyday wear.
I am allergy to all perfumes which it makes me sneezing, headache(migraine),or sinus allery or get sick. Only I can wear is body spray from Walmart.....
I love anything vanilla, and I've worn vanilla flavoring too!! But that and anything gardenia, but most times I just forget to wear any, because I can't smell it after 2 minutes.
I love Eternity, but it is too expensive for me now with the kids costing so much. Now I just use Juniper Breeze lotion from Bath and Body Works and I like that almost as well.
Depends on the season and occasion. I love Shalimar, have worn it since 1957. The formula has changed, and the only way to get the original and good stuff is to bring it in from Europe, sealed by Shalimar. Otherwise it is reblended in USA, and turns into something different and not nearly as nice. Emeraude is very similar as far as ingredients, Shalimar being a little heavier and having a little more vanilla, one of the most noticeable ingredients. For more casual events or everyday, Emeraude is good because it's less expensive, but you need to reapply it more often. For winter, my choice is Balenciaga LeDix, which isn't available around here any longer and must be ordered through the offices in NY. I wouldn't mind one tiny bit if some wonderful hubby or suitor decided to give me any of the above, I would just enjoy it and think how wonderful of him to have such good taste and to value me appropriately! So many fragrances cause me to have a headache and nausea, especially the modern ones. My DD uses Opium, and I detest it, but I love her to pieces so I try to deal with it mentally. Granddarling has already learned that she must be careful about which fragrance she wears around PopPop, and I hope that will mean she will be considerate of others who have problems with fragrance. I was pleased to see others posting that they have problems with some. Anybody choke and threaten to stop breathing from Chantilly?
momcat, I love Rapture from Victorian especially beutiful bottle of Heart glass with gold on it, love it.
Mini and I always love to buy body spray of Raspberry at Walmart. Remmy? :0)
unscented soap and water :-) Some one as sweet as I am can't risk adding more sweetness..........lol
i got something sweet for a sweet Lady Zany ;)!
if u have some sweet & fragrant rose petals, dry the petals. pack tight the petals in an 8 oz. empty clean bottle. fill with olive oil. store in a dark place for a month. this concoction produces a lovely scented skin moisturizer, specially on this balmy wintery weather. do not worry, it will not be oily at all as the skin absorps the olive oil.
whenever i take a shower, i take some with me. i damp dry my skin with face towel [regular towel sometimes, scratches the surface of the skin. i used damp face towel to dry off]. then massage the olive oil all over. i massage the olive oil from my shoulder/face down to my feet. by the time, i get to my feet, the olive oil has already absorb completely. it is a very good moisturizer. in fact, i do not buy lotion or moisturizer. i just use the rose petal scented olive oil - make ur skin so soft and is so supple [sp?] and smooth!!!!
Spellbound by Estee Lauder is the only one for me!
Je Reviens by Worth, although expensive. Since I seldom wear perfume, a little lasts a long time. I got out of the habit when I travelled in Sales and Marketing because so many people have allergic reactions to perfumes.
My is Skin Musk Oil, it drives the OB crazy lol.
Darius, I forgot Je Reviens! I have an antique bottle with just a trace left over, so I don't use that, and it is expensive and not the one I would use daily as others are more versatile for my chemistry, but what a classic Je Reviens is! The other one I left out, but which also must be bought overseas now, is Chanel 22, the only Chanel I like on me. I, too, traveled and had to consider the many people with whom I came in contact, but sometimes my contacts were in the fragrance business, and I was in cosmetics among other things, so I could often find someone who would trade samples with me. Oh, for the days of youth! BTW, I have quite a few fragrance bottles I simply couldn't part with when the product was gone, and I tolerate the endless dusting in order to enjoy them on glass shelves in my bathroom. Memories!
Fresh Manure in the compost pile :).

Paul!! I'm sure you wouldn't want us to wear that! Maybe RR will have to edit her thread to clarify what she meant.

I like Opium a lot. It's expensive but doesn't take much, lasts all day and doesn't change according to my body chemistry.
I used to love Tweed by L'entheric, but it's not made anymore. Sometimes I see it on ebay.
I also love old-fashioned Lavender, especially by Yardley of London.
There was one named after a Japanese couture designer that I liked a lot. It was very expensive but lasted forever. I forgot the name. Anyone have an idea? Hani Mori or something like that?
I also used to like Evening in Paris, but don't know if that's made anymore either.
I will have to try this Chloe and see what I think.
