Victoria Harbour, ON

Oh well, we have driven in storms before..have my snow tires on, I only do some of the driving, mostly on USA side.linda leaves on her cruise on the 16th and hoping as there is 3 months between her meds on nov 8th that she will be able to get insurance for the weekend, that is a big maybe that she will be going

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Paula and I just have errands today. Construction crew is hard at it and Ben's caregiver is due here shortly.

Victoria Harbour, ON

While out take time to enjoy.

I just have about 1/2 of tree skirt to hand sew binding on then the ties and it’s done..eyes are getting heavy so maybe a little nap is in order

Verona, ON

Miserable, dreary day here. Alternating between sleet and rain.

Ticks are still latching onto the TH and myself.

Now Betty and I voted during our election so we are counting on y'all to do the same. Right Betty ?

Diesel threw a hissy fit a couple of days ago when he didn't get a liver snap when he came inside. It finally dawned on me that the TH were playing me. They were asking to go out whether they wanted/needed to so they could get a treat. He stomped his front feet and barked his fool head off all the while looking directly at the treat jar,

Stay safe and warm.

I have voted.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Oooooo the TH has been "found out", you are on to their trick. Pretty clever of them to train you like that!!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Betty - Bob was working on the front deck side of our place, and the den (where I sew) is the back of our place so I don't hear anything.
I'm really happy with the new quilting stencils I got. I bought 5 of them - 1 border, 1 huge center one and the others for wherever I want. I temp spray the back of one, put it on the quilt and draw the lines. SO much easier than pinning paper to the quilt, and I quilt faster because of this, too.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I missd reading this page when I posted on page 3....... so here goes:
Wow, the TH are getting pretty wise aren't they? Smart doggies!!
We don't vote for anything this season - maybe in the Spring?
Supposed to go to -11c tonight - brrrrrrrr Staying nice & warm here, inside.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Raining again, quite heavy so just unless it stops shortly doubt Andrew will come to start the project...snow by weekends end..Debbie, hope no blizzard called for on your side of the border..

Dianne, those dogs know how to get to you, starting to be more playful right? I have your weather as well, gloomy, maybe snow would be better.. see there is a wind warning here today , you getting the same.,tree is bending so it must be striping..

Are we not starting Santa Warren exchange, Susan did you say you were undertaking it! Sure don’t want to miss out on it..let me know ASAP and who would like to participate and Susan or I will get it going..always love this exchange..

Well I decid3d as there is nothing I can do outside and that june will be the only one here this morning, while she sees rag quilt blocks I can work on one of the panels, am hoping I have enough fabric for backing so I can get the 2 I took out done.

Back is killing me, guess all those totes or maybe the hours I’ve been spending in bed but once I get moving a tad it helps..saving Tylenol 3 for later lol

Add me to the Christmas swap.

(Sue) South Central, IA(Zone 5a)

Lurking here... Morning everyone, quite brisk and windy today, snow for southern Iowa this weekend! NO, too early!

What is the Santa Warren swap? Might be interested

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

We've having very mild weather compared to most of you, gray and sprinkling but nothing too bad. We need to get all those bulbs put in the ground, it's TIME!!! Pounds and pounds of bulbs. All mixed up so there will not be normal groupings but can't help that.
The wall in hall is up and sheetrock up but not finished. I am guessing another 2 weeks of work before this mess can be cleaned up. The kitchen is sooooooo close but can't finish it until the hall/ laundry/ pantry are complete as the floor is continous and our W&D are sitting in the middle of the kitchen for now.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Got the word this morning, we are a go for closing on Fri. Now have a gazillion calls to make getting things out of our name here.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Lilly, the Santa exchange is a Christmas gift exchange. Betty will give us a name, and we mail a Christmas gift to them.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

no Betty, I didn't say I would do the Christmas Swap - I don't think I would partake - it's so expensive to ship to the US. Last swap I did (PJ?) cost me almost $40 for shipping, plus the cost of the items.

Feeling grumpy today, so I'm taking a ME day and even staying home from the Craft Group. I'm quitting the secretarial position @ the Community Centre - it's toxic, and I refuse to stay somewhere that is only dragging me down. I'm old enough not to put up with the president's wife's belittling and bullying tactics. If she wants to do my job, good luck! She's not allowed to be the secretary, when her hubby's the president but I'm not going to get into a power struggle - not worth my effort/time/stress level. I have enough going on in my life that I don't need to take on more, for sure!

Afternoon, June stayed till 12:30, both of us chatted very little, think that is the trick, she and I got lots done,so much so I’m ready for afternoon nap lol

Lily,, glad you dropped in, hope you continue to do so.
Dianne’s Hubby Warren enjoyed watching our 1st few Christmas exchanges and when he passed we continued with it but under the Santa Warren Christmas exchange”. What I will do this evening is work on setting up a sign up post and start marking who would like to join us...

Yes Susan our postal service is so expensive, shak8ng my head..one thing that you might consider is buying online and they ship from USA to your buddy in USA

Andrew did come, lots of earth downgraded from house to ditch, not as big an undertaking at this point as he thinks this might work so I’ll go for it...if it works I save $$$ and would be ok with that.

Santa’s Workshop is officially open, can always tell by the mess 😜

June asked me where my birdhouse case that lights up is..darts, still more totes to come in..shaking my head

yes, I suppose buying online is an option. My daughter once sent me a cookbook from Amazon and I likely got it faster that way, too.

Love your "Magic" sign 😉

Lyndonville, NY

Susan, I sent your garden gift by Amazon, and the good thing, customs charge was not as much after delivered and they refunded the difference. SO....it does work out nicely.

Betty, they are calling for Lake Effect snow this weekend. 4 days of it I think they said. I will keep an eye out.
