Had two trick or Treaters come to the door. It was reverse though. It was our neighbors bringing us homemade cream puffs. Had a toast with them and some hugs. We are going to miss them very much
Best/Worse/what did I Learn today? Come sit a spell, these wonderful ladies welcome newcomers..come join us!!
Oh Karen, how sweet!! moving is exciting and HARD!!
Bob & I dressed up & went to our Community Centre's Trick or Treat party. Hot dogs & hot chocolate for the kids. There were 27 kids, and their parents.I'd made treat bags & they all went. Lots of sugar passed out 😁
Morning all, another rainy day, pump is working overtime, Andrew tells me not to worry, he’ll have the corner of the house built up and graded before winter, here is hoping.
Karen, don’t we wish when we move we could bring the best of the neighbors with us?? Mike my youngest brother has moved along with his neighbour the past 5 moves, they both retired in Wasaga beach and are 5 houses apart.
Better a sugar fix for trick/treaters than you eating them Susan lol
Got the Christmas quilts/throws out this morning, Lordy I’ve so many, where to put them all??
With everyone coming Saturday to do a craft I’d live to have the house decorated and Christmas music playing, would put them in the mood☺️
Extras can go for your sale you will have.
Note to Betty, label your bins.
That is just too beautiful Betty, you do need to display it.
We will have a Christmas tree again this year, it's been about 7 years and we do need to build our collection again. I did buy two new ornaments at Tuesday Morning as a starter for the new house. I'm rather excited about it.
Will be so much fun Karen..when roger died I gave away more than I have now, such beautiful pieces but at the time I wanted nothing to do with Christmas, but as years passed, part of me was missing, so here I am with over 20 totes of decorations
Shaking my head!
Just unpacked my 8th tote, in it were several items from Barb,.also an arrangement Tubby sent me, makes me sad yet appreciative!
Also unpacked Liz’s Ms Deer and pillow, warms the heat
If you don't have a bed or place for that beautiful quilt, I would hang it on the wall if you have space? Maybe on the banister going upstairs? Is it too big for a table topper?
Larger than a double LIndakay..
Got 1/2 done, Mel dropped in and she was laughing at me, but a week ago I said no Christmas decorations..guess they make it out one more year.
Prayers for Becky please, she isn’t doing well...know miracles happen when prayers are said.

Sending lots of prayers.
prayers sent for Becky, Betty
yup, putting away Thanksgiving & Hallowe'en decorations - time to start thinking about Christmas here, too lol
MANY turkeys would have been happy to "miss Thanksgiving".
Oldest son & wife come yet tonight, no hot water tank and not sure when it will be in place. I hope the contractor at least puts it in place temporarily for the weekend. I dont' want to be without all weekend too!!!
Morning all,
Rain, rain and more rain and same for entire week..
Just drizzling right now so I’ll finish my coffee then head out and get a few more totes, might as well finish my job of Christmas decorating..
Think I will see if there is anyone around Sunday to go cut greenery for my live arrangements I do the week before Christmas, easier to get now than in the snow.
Have a group come tomorrow for craft day, few things to get into town so I’ll do that this afternoon..
Susan, that is pretty scary costume.
Betty, how do you keep the greenery alive till Christmas?
I wish we had evergreen trees here I could use.
It’s cold here so I just leave them under the deck..already the garden centres have greenery cut and available, so many types I just might pick up a few different types before they are sold.
LK - I had to tell the kids that he is friendly 😉
Going to PT today for my feet. My left hip has been increasingly bothering me for the past 3 weeks. Not sure what's going on, but PT's "exercise" isn't helping. I'll tell her when I see her this afternoon.
Hope they change exercise if it’s making matters worse Susan..
Guess I should get dressed, been working all day in my nightly, don’t think it would look good shopping in town with it lol
Have my list ready so should take me long, thought I might pick up Chinese for supper, save myself some cooking.
Basement tree done, even sewed rows of blocks for a Christmas treee skirt to put in the sale, if it doesn’t sell I can always use it as extra gift..as I was flitting from place to place this morning I sewed the 9 rows of 9 blocks together and 1 border..one more border and it’s ready to quilt
Have 2 bins of decorations on back deck, might before I get tidied up bring in the livinroom tree, if I’m bored tonight I can always decorate
Best I not sit here much longer or I know I’ll end up doing nothing, my energy will be no longer..
Susan, my hip did that too, after I had my knee fixed. It is because I walked with a limp, and it put more wear and tear on my hip. I had to have hip surgery.
Ohh that wouldn’t be good news..all ok now though LIndakay?
Greg dropped in for 1/2 hr. And helped me set up the tree in the living room
Have the tree turning so makes it easy to decorate..been at it for 2 hrs, likely another hour and I’ll be done.
Rather go to bed early and get up early for the group tomorrow..Greg just shakes his head, said it’s awfully early to decorate, asked him if he would come over when it’s snowing and blowing and bring in all the trees or me decorate on mild day..I’m sure you know his answer.
He left with box of chocolates, rather he eat them all and not me.
Think I will make a hot chocolate then finish the tree then off to bed..I’ve put in a hard 2 days.
My therapist said she didn't think there was damage, but I told her of my worry that once you get your knees done, the hip was next. She said if you're really worried, ask the Dr to give me an x-ray, and then I'd know one way or another.
Sounds reasonable Susan, you’ve been quite active lately, maybe rest a tad more.
Fini, decorating for Christmas 2018 I’d done, I’m as festive as I’m going to be
You realize how many years your hubby has been gone, when you hang ornaments and you remember buying them for the christmas’s missed
Already one decoration broken, Ziggy was up the tree grrr
Morning all, sitting having hit chocolate before everyone comes..
It’s light rain this morning turning to light snow late afternoon, here is hoping they will be done by then and one before bad weather..most live 1 1/2hrs away, long trip to do a craft but they seem to enjoy and come every year.
My house is sooo festive lol
You need to post photos of your trees and decorations.
THAT naughty Ziggy!! I remember my first Christmas with my Jalouse, I did not trust her and bought unbreakable ornaments and she never even touched the tree!!
Everyone just left, I’m off for hot bath then relax
Invited out for supper but think I will pass
Early night as the Barrie Molsons craft show is tomorrow, going out for breakfast with SUZANNE then the show.
See art framed art done with rocks, I’m so hoping there is an artist who does *Georgian bay scenes, looking for one for Paul’s Xmas gift.
Was an enjoyable 11 snowman were done
Looks like you had a wonderful time.
We did..slept for a few hours now wide awake
Sure hope you went back to bed.
Sunny here today but cool when out in the wind..
Did fall back to sleep but off and on, this morning left at 8 with Suzanne, met up with Sharon in Barrie for breakfast the fabricland, Molsons craft show, garden gallery and Quilts Etc..bought a Christmas quilt and shams for back bedroom, all rooms have Christmas quilts now.
Bought a cute pin cushion for Pat, metal art (2) that hold guitars for Jeff for his birthday and that was that..oh and matching Christmas fabric for backing of the tree skirt I’m do8ng for the sale..
Didn’t want to buy too much because I’m saving my shopping $$$ for next week in Buffalo lol
You bought a quilt? You didn't have enough from what you made? LOL!
With Ziggy in and out, ra8n and mud I prefer the Quilts etc rather than home made..if they get destroyed I don’t car..this double quilt and shams was $29.99 so you can’t go wrong. Every bedroom has a Quilt Etc Christmas quilt with a quilt I made draped over the end.
Still have one tree and four totes left to bring in, here and there this week I’ll bring them in, no hurry lol
Those are beautiful.
wow Betty - decorated for Christmas already? I would say you motivate me, but not That much 😉
cleaned up the veggie garden a bit, and planted our Russian Red garlic. Neighbour recommended it so I got some to try.
8c now but going to -11c tomorrow night, so had to plant today.
Also got out the vacuum & cleaned the car, while Bob put Polar Wrap on the remaining part of the East side of our place (at the front deck).
Have all the Thanksgiving & Hallowe'en stuff in bins to put away in the shed. Then to tidy up a bit, and consider all the Christmas decor. Bob's planning on the lights for this year, so wants the siding done so it'll look better.
I've been working on my Lone Star quilt - got some quilt templates, temp spray glued them on and drew - I'm really happy with this! I'd tried holding them on and drawing the pattern, but the template was slipping. This is much better and it's quilting faster now. Hope to have it done before Christmas.
Betty, I really like your 3rd store bought quilt, lots of color. My favorite homemade quilt that you have the beds, is the 2nd one, the colorful Santa one.
the contractors put the hot water tank and washer & dryer in place for temporary for over the weekend. I am grateful for that. When I can CLEAN up, then I'll be able to sew again.
Morning all, although they say it might hit 50 today lots of rain will come with it..rain all week and snow flurries Friday,Saturday and Sunday..wouldn’t you know, our buffalo Christmas shopping trip..grrr
Hard for you both Pat and Susan to get comfortable sewing when so much construction is going on. Pat did they find the leak?
Andrew dropped off a few loads of topsoil over the weekend so imagine I’m on his list to do the corner landscaping in hopes to deter water from that corner of the house, not sure he will work in rain?
Want to make spaghetti sauce this morning so waiting for 7:30 to head into foodland for hamburger, have the meatballs done so used up what was left of hamburger..with Mel spending so much time at the hospital with Becky I thought I could send some to her, save her cooking tonight.
Vacuumed, did floors so nothing left to do but play so will try and finish the tree skirt I’m making for sale and out ties an the large tree skirt I’m also putting in sale...if nothing else I’ll finish a bunch of unfinished projects in sewing and wood that are in bins.
Off to sew
