11th Annual DG Christmas workshop..

Know it's early but never too early to get organized..when you think of it it's not that far down the road as early November I have to have kits ready to send out..

I'm ahead of the game somewhat, have most of what I need /stocked up last Christmas while in Florida) except for the wood, making semi triangles might be an issue, we will see..will order wood this week and see how I make out.

i would say if anyone is interested in doing project they should sign up by end of October but normally I always have a few extra on hand.

Am sure you might have a friend or two who might want to join in and that is ok, more the merrier.

Make cute Christmas gifts..now I know you are going to ask how much, this weekend I'll get some of your flat rate boxes from post office and see which I'll have to use then should be able to tell you..I always try my best to keep cost between $20-$25

Wood is cut, now ready to trace stars on each side so I can start putting them together..goal..all done before end of month..

Traced all the stars on the side pieces, tomorrow I'll drill through stars so come weekend I can start cutting them out

That is a lot of work. Don't over do it.

Just doing little bits at a time..as long as I get the few I'm sending out stateside done then I still have a months to do the rest, easy peasy lol

Glad I have a hair appointment at 5 so I'm not here when greg comes and picks up his lawnchair lol. He was suppose to lift the big commercial scroll saw from the back tool room and bring it into the sewing area which has more lighting for me to cut out stars, well couldn't wait till 5:00 did it myself, almost dropped it, heavy as can be, he sure will give me the what for ....

I've 180 stars in total to cut, not a matter of cutting, hacpve to take the blade out and insert in in hole I drilled in each star..goal today is do 5' if I at least do 5 a day won't take long to have all 30 done for my workshops

Oops got caught, greg dropped in a few minutes ago, was going home to get the trailer and take it to camp, Melanie is camping this weekend while he is at the snowmobile show in Toronto working..he noticed 2 things, on back door was open about 6 inches for Ziggy to go in and out, told me how I was attracting mice,mthen downstairs and saw scroll saw, I'm too impatient, couldn't wait until he finished work..left shaking his Head!

Got 5 sets cut out -30 stars
Today's goal is 5-10 sets and get the Christmas tree skirt off the frame, bit much but one must have a goal.

That he did Barb, said when I ask for him to do something for me to at least wait until his workdays over, as it happened he was off early..just shakes his head!

He has so much patience with you Betty. Thank heaven....

9 more sets to cut the stars out and I've started the assembly, hoping by weekend that will be done then I can start making kits..got to see how big of a box they fit in so I can package for the 17th. Lots of things going on between with workshops and girls sewing and doing my own thing so best keep thinking Christmas
