Betty you had asked what I made at the quilt retreat...I was able to finish this quilt of valour called "mini trip around the world" (1st pic) and piece the second quilt of valour with Canadian Fabrics (2nd picture) and the last picture was my "show and tell" quilt. I had made that one a year earlier.
I also made some Christmas Trees and Log cabin santas...pictures will follow (or should I post them on the sewing thread?

Well that was some retreat!
Couldn't pick just one as a favorite, all are spectacular..
You and your sewing friend will have to come and do a retreat here THEA..

Have Melanie here doing snowman wreath and sister Sharon should be here shortly (lives 100 miles away) she wants to do a runner, placemats and finish binding on the ones she did last year..nearing 10..she wants to leave early. Lol

thanks to playing catch up when I visited with you Betty, I have them all!!!! It has been so much fun each year and something I really look forward to. Have you heard from Judy? Is she doing one this year? And what about LIz?

Yes both are doing them, haven't heard from Judy at all but Liz confirmed she received her kit..she never misses as do many of you

no, shes busy cleaning house, visiting with family and being grandbird ma
keeps her quite busy.
I bet she is working on lantern have to call her.

Tell her to get herself over here Liz..know she will be making dozens..she enjoys working with wood and it's an easy project

Woohoo, commencing to the Craft!!
Yep the house is getting in the Christmas Spirit, lol first time Since 1989 that decorations are getting up before Dec. 12- lol let alone the Dec 1!
...And ta and dahing...I am ready to begin.
Tomorrow will go and get a Mason Jar...Your going to giggle; Yep as soon as I received decided I could do a lot of these...Already thinking "tiny"!!

I got to say: I'm excited and Betty, I love that this project is not sew: but so, so easy.

Sooo excited to see you post Judy, you got me all wound up and smiling..thought you'd make some..use the smaller mason jar and just adjust the handles and rather than use the thick wood circles just cut them out of 1". Did a them a few years ago, well many years ago, think I have photo's somewhere of Kyle and Noah doing them..how I miss those craft days..

Yikes, been at it since the crack of dawn, more like a tad before and net stopped..got Another 'mycanada' quilt in the frame, working towards doing another scrappy snowman quilt started, I'd say I'm half way sewing squares together, tomorrow I will trace the snowmen and it will give me something to play cut outs with.. My friend Janice came over tonight and did a set of pkacemats, just needs to put binding on them..Santa's workshop is just a buzzing and new ideas for 2017

Here I am, end of Ausust and chillies in the air, what so I think about, yep Christmas..
4 months away, be here before we know it. Have all the supplies except wood for the project so shortly I should get a slat and get angles right and make template because it won't be long before it's time to parcel up kris for my November trip to Buffalo.

Looking forward to the new project.

Hard to imagine so soon!! But it's true... when school starts I always feel that Christmas is RIGHT around the corner.

Have I missed the sign up for the Annual Christmas project 2017? I could not find a thread for it. Betty do you know what this years project is going to be yet? Haven't been on here much lately so I may have missed the announcement. I have missed talking to everyone here at DG. I have had ongoing internet issues, hopefully they (ATT) have it working more consistently now. Hope everyone in the South has made it through the storms safely.

No hurry to sign up but will start a thread just to keep organized..

This year is a piece that is in shape of a triangle and lights up..will take photo and post.
