Well now I am confused! You are not doing the one from craft show?
Yes, we talked about that one being hard with putting it together and the tools.
Might be wise decision.
Excited to have two as I can put either one in each window....or one on piano and one on my desk here.
Walmart has the reasonable paints also if you don't have a other options.
10th Annual DG Christmas Workshop!
Yep, did try Debbie, but the peak really needed to be brad nailed..object of this craft was always to make a project that was none fail, so far none failed 😜
When sleep angels can't find you
Big sigh, been in and out of bed too many times to count so I decided to paint my project blue..
Was thinking after Christmas by changing the little wreath to one with a spring/fall design.
Now in thinking this I bought little plugs (enough to test them in my lantern before sending with kit)to hide the screws, piece is suppose to be rustic, pkg of plugs were $3.99 and do 3 lanterns, would be glued to hide the screws in the handle but I'm thinking if they were used they have to be glued in to secure and you'd not be able to change wreath so think I'm opting not to buy
Sponge brush should do the trick for painting portion of our project
Going to try the sleep thing..should have a project for you to view come morning
Added details to 1st post as to keep myself organized

I'm really getting excited now Betty.... Love the blue!
Just hoping nobody is disappointed at its simplicity
Betty, you know how easy I can mess up even simplicity!
Pictures don't do it justice, need your picture taking Debbie
I just realized I have a load of pics on my phone and camera I never loaded from this last week.
Paul asked if I wanted to go to the craft show Saturday! Thats a first! lol He said "Is Betty meeting us?" lol He remembers when you and Ann came.
Ahhh so wish I could, remember eating all those treats in the little cafe, Lordy they were filled with calories but Paul and I didn't mind. Lol
Mold ons centre has a big craft show this weekend, will check if it's on Friday if not maybe early Saturday I will go..have an order in for a machine part, hasn't called to say it's in so maybe if I go Saturday it might be in and I can pick it up while shopping for treasures
Still have to pick up a roll of wire for the handle
Remember it's prettier in the real. Lol
Not dark enough to see how it looks at night when lights are dim
You did a good job....I think handle will bring it all together perfect.
Can you believe I looked at that.....and saw a snowmans hat.
Think I will have a similar project for DH!!! Putting a small fish bowl in middle with the lights....and that top....a lit snowman?
Need to see that project debbie
I love that lamp!
I do too!!!! What I really like is the simplicity.. With me, less is always more.....
Just a few tweaks but will be ready to mail while in Buffalo
Have to cut open wreaths I bought because they are made to fit small votive candles and just a tad too small, I will make it work
Betty, my payment went out today.
Betty I will get my $$ out to you tomorrow. Still need to measure my jar.
My jar is 7" and 1 mm.
Sent your $$ out today Betty
I sent mine yesterday also. Hope you get it quickly.....
I'm going to watch, I am trying hard to cut back on all the stuff I have in the house AND my office. I am keeping almost nothing of my Halloween stuff but what I kept I really like. My huge skeleton with that dark cheese cloth looking stuff, my jack-o-lantern wall hanging and one hanging wood sign. EVERYTHING else went for donation.
I am hoping to reduce my Christmas stuff by at least 1/2. We'll see. I love to decorate by theme but I like to change themes occassionally and that takes up too much storage.
OOPss gotta go, Marie is awake and I'm headed to her house to "play" with dolls. I'll enjoy watching the lovely things you produce!
Sorry have to pass this time. You all have fun.

How pretty! Love it Betty. :)
That is so cute! If you do that next year, maybe I'll give it a try!
What is this "If I am still here!" None of that!
Sorry I was MiA again...Oh I just love the lantern!! Thank you for letting me be part of Christmas workshop! Your crafts are amazing and I wish I lived closer to you, I would be at your door every day...lol ...Betty left you a msg on Facebook :)
Barb...you almost had my sister's name correct. Her name is Beate. She will be thrilled with making the lantern. How are you and Norm? Ready to come and visit Canada again? I have such fond memories from your visit and our visit to your place :)
Hello LindaK...longgggggggggg time no talk. Hope all is well with you and your family.
Hello Debbie and Karen...not sure if you remember me from wayyyyyyyyyyy back when. Karen I think we met on the quilting thread and Debbie we met on the prayer thread :) Hope all is good with you as well.
Oh wow Betty...I loveeeeeee that nativity wood crèche!! Count me in for next year as well.
And I agree with Debbie...NO "if I am still here"...you will be here. We will not have it any other way :)
I so missed you Thea, glad you found your way back home..will take a picture with light on..must pick up wood to make a few
June bought this one $35 + taxes at a craft show
Need to give it back so making one is a must
Hi Thea So good to see you here. Norm and I are doing fine. I think my long distance traveling days are over for the most part. At least you knew who I meant even with the misspelling of your sister's name!!!!
I love that tree and creche too!!! It is adorable. I too say "What do you mean by if you are here?"
Thea!! Of course I remember you! Welcome back....and happy you are enjoying in.
I made a concoction of tea & apple cider with a touch of honey....is soooo good and warming me up!
Love both of those Betty.
I wonder where she bought the lovely little creche she used, it is ADORABLE.
Said I would come back with photo of the lights on the little piece I have to take a pattern of
Going to town Friday for more wood, groceries and supplies, will take dimensions before I leave to see if I can find slat wood..means chop saw though for cutting angles..will take mega picture as a reminder of how it's made, that or if vendor is at Nottawasaga Inn Saturday I will buy one, always easier when you have a proto type.
Guess without wood to cut I will quilt tree skirt and do some knitting tomorrow..2 more totes came in, figure 2-3 left then 2 of outdoor light, 1 of indoor lights, several big pieces to set outside and inside and I'm Decorated for Christmas. Lol
I think I should have waited to this week to visit to help you decorate! Good heavens you will need vacation to rest for all this....and come back to take it all down!
That is a LOT of decorations!
Barb and Annette, got your envelope and I marked pmt received (thanks)
Just got in from craft show, know that June needs her piece back as it is a Christmas gift so the same vendor was at today's show so I bought one..even stopped at my local lumber yard to have the playne wood so I can make a prototype
Thanks for letting me know it arrived Betty. Can't wait to see your new trial tree!!!
Wasn't a tree Barb, I might have said that but it's a crèche, the one I posted earlier in the thread..
Decided to include raffia for those who might like to add it to the handle which I just cut in lengths, including enough for both you pieces..then, don't like how the battery just sits behind it, found some plastic ties. That I will add and staple the the bottom round disk which holds the battery unit and the battery unit can still pull out when you need to change batteries , might mean you have to tape plastic tabs so you can paint but that shouldn't be a problem.. have been improving on the project and now to cut more and sand
Thea your envelope came today..thanks
I know you had a creche in the project Betty. I suppose you could put most anything in there though. I really like the tree shape....
