10th Annual DG Christmas Workshop!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Yes you could so all be on the lookout for a little decoration you like..when I go downstairs I will measure it as it's quite small..

Lyndonville, NY

Betty I think she is thinking of the one you just purchased.....that had the creche in the middle. This one has only shown lights.

Victoria Harbour, ON

No it is the same, will take a better photo

You feeling better Debbie? Think you will still meet up with me at Cracker Barrel Sunday..hoping so

Lyndonville, NY

I am better than I was 2 days ago even. On antibiotics and inhaler. All set for Sunday.

Did you hear they are calling for snow...perhaps larger amount than original dusting they thought. Is ALWAYS the way on our winter meet.....we leave in snow.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Tell me that is not so Debbie😪😪😪😪
As long as it's not a major blizzard...

Getting there with the kits, have drilling and brad nailing to do then wrap

I will leave wrapping and labelling for tomorrow..think you will like them..will I clipped (if I bought them) some felt pads to put on top of jars just incase the are loose, should be but just incase.

Had one heck of a time buying battery operated lights, not sure why, all the stores had plug in, I have mega plug ins but wanted batteries so if once you finish the project you can buy a set that you like better.

Now that I'm upstairs I'm thinking maybe an afternoon nap is in order

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, I have battery lights here. I bought several last year.

VERY time consuming and the cleaning alone is no small deal! Packaging up all the kits etc etc.
Marie has announced we are "done!" We will bag up the dolls we have after they are properly cleaned and hair done, no more sewing, no more buying, no more. Did I mention no more? LOL
For the sake of sanity and out of consideration for my Dad's failing health, we are having an "open house" with finger foods and desserts for Saturday rather than a full fledged Thanksgiving dinner. Marie had him in at lab today & calling Md, he had blood in his urine.

Morning crafters,

Was up early this morning and got the woodworking room swept, vacuumed and equipment free of sawdust, Lordy it goes right through the house, having a coffee then dusting upstairs.

Put 9 Christmas battery operated lights/wreaths and raffia on my list of to buy as I cut extra's, easy to paint and assemble when doing so in production line.
Packages wrapped (boy are they wrapped) if the cost is over the med flat rate box of $13.40 then I will put them in a box..just fit

I will get the girls to come inside the post office so that if that happens they can help me label.

My part will soon be done once posted..always feel better about that, then always worry should you all have problems, here is hoping!

My gift to you this Christmas was the extra wood piece so be on the lookout for mason jar and battery operated light and wreath..

Debbie, I improvised and made 2 more for the little boys you mind after school hours but only the wood so you can be on lookout for the extra's..they will love you to death helping make dad and grandparents a special Christmas gift..

Need to do my hair, get a bag packed for the weekend, packages in the car..think that's about it ..leaving time for Buffalo is noon..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I hope you had help at the post office. I can just imagine the face on the postal worker when you walked in!

Mount Sterling, KY(Zone 6b)

Betty, Glad you got my payment, I wasn't sure how long it would take.

Lyndonville, NY

Posting to both threads.

What time are we meeting in the morning Betty? Still Cracker Barrel?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Back home from Buffalo, weather on Friday was in the 60's, coming home a blizzard. Grrrr

Lindakay received her kit already, Lordy you have the best postal system

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

We never have delivery on Sunday. I was surprised when he brought the box to the door.

Victoria Harbour, ON

It's mind boggling..what do you think of project? always wonder if you all think some are too simplified...

Just turned on the fireplace, thinking about what I shall have for lunch

Quilting makes me hungry. Lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I love all the projects. Sometimes it is the simple things that can add just that right touch to finish things off.

Mount Sterling, KY(Zone 6b)

Got my package today, but haven't had time to tear into it yet. Thanks Betty!

Victoria Harbour, ON

You are welcome..

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Betty,My package came today. I'll send your money, I guess you didn't see where I had to back out. I didn't really want to though so happily fate intervened.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Will go back and look Karen, did not see where you posted it..please don't feel you have to do it or send $$, just give it to someone who might need to do a gift or two.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Oh no I do want to do it, was a bit short and not feeling good at the moment and so backed out but OK now and will send

Pacifica, CA

got my box yesterday !
wow that was quick

Victoria Harbour, ON

Kudos to your mailman..amazing, but then I said that before

Kits going further were the quickest to be received

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Mine came today Betty. I haven't unpacked it yet, Had a busy day.
Got my monitor put on, saw the palliative care doctor and did a bit of shopping.
Now I am totally wiped out.....

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

I got the big envelope full of fun trim you sent Betty! SOooooo many cute things! Thanks you & I'll send postage.

I'll bet you are wishing you could be at Joann's Black Friday sale tomorrow morning or Friday morning! flannel for under $2 per yard!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Barb, not liking the "palliative" care reference..are you ok?

Pat hope you are able to make use of some..rather pay more than fight those lines

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Got a notification that the boxes arrived on Monday!!! Holy jumpens that is fast!!
I will cross the border sometime next week, when I receive my other things that I had ordered.
Still recuperating from my quilt retreat...lol...sooo much fun but little sleep and tons of food!!!
Will have to take some pictures of the things I was able to finish!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Look forward to seeing your photo's Thea..do they provide you with new projects or do you bring your own? Is fast..I will post step by step directions seeing as many have schedules that wouldn't allow participating on a structured day. Likely I will start a step by step thread and any questions can be asked on this thread, does that sound ok?

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Works for me... Off to get my hair cut this morning. Have posted about the palliative care doc on the best worst thread... I am good Betty. Just looking ahead as this COPD is a progressive disease. Have lost a lot of strength in my legs and the doc can help with any services I may need. Going to try PT at home.
