Had a really busy day yesterday . In the morning we went to Madison's band concert. She is our next youngest grandchild. It was spectacular. There are 97 members in the 7th grade band!!!! The school system in Londonderry NH has the best music program in the state and the kids in 7th grade sound better that most high school bands. We so encourage her to stick with it as the high school band goes to Macy's, Rose Bowl Parade, Disney,
Washington all the time...They are incredible.....

Then we went to get all the stuff Norm will need on this new diet. Got all the new utensils that we didn't have (coffee grinder, food processor, Brita water filter stuff,
immersible mixer) and then went to the grocery and spent $$$$$ on foods for he and I. Thank heaven I can and will eat a lot of what he has to eat, And some I won't and I won't be on his supplements. Very interesting day here as we learn by doing!!!!! This cleansing portion of the program lasts three weeks and I'm sure we
can do it. Christmas will be very hard though. We always have prime rib at our daughter's and Norm can't have any beef. Not sure how we are going to handle this......

Yep, We celebrated our girls birthday last night. And I cried happy tears..huh, she forgot to wish me happy birthday back...uhoh, she is having aweird thought about her friends, standing up. Julia is worried because they are all not in a constant touch. holy heck this girl is way too like me! (meaning, a worry wart)lol.

And woohoo, I did my shopping, found that reversible robe for Breenie, lol such a princess. yikes paid more the I normally would, but you know Breenie don't ask for too much since she works and buys what she wants, Anyway it's plush on one side and silky on the other. lol, totally Princess! they had 2 colors, I got the red since she wears black for both jobs. Oh and guess what, The picture people wants to hire her fulltime!!

Well, I finally got more decorations up...hahah, can you tell with all Blabbing I'm not so stressed, yaay feeling really Good and in the Christmas Mood.

Seems like all the prices go up every year. But yet, I got my statement from SS yesterday, stating that due to no increase in cost of living, I will not get a raise this year! REALLY!!!

I use my grands photos because they are so much cuter than I. It got confusing to some people when I was using current pics so I switched to using their ones from when they were little. This is Rory. Sending Susan positive thoughts and prayers this morning. I am pretty sure today is the day she and Bob take on their tenants.

Been up for hours. Think I will have a nap soon. Pups have been fed walked.

My hand is doing just fine. Just bruising. Diesel and Chaos were sent to the naughty mat yesterday. Duke on the other hand was on his best behaviour.

Jean have you listened to the Blue Christmas CD ? I love that CD and that is my only concession plus the Santa Warren's Exchange to Christmas.Well except the tree skirt Barb sent me....... I buy a large poinsettia and put the skirt filled with love around the plant.

Glad to hear you hand is OK. Last year when I was playing with the dogs and tennis balls, Luna usually gives me her ball so I can throw it again. Well, she came to me, and I reached my hand down to get the ball, she dropped the ball, and grabbed my hand and bit. She did not puncture the skin, but talk about sore for a week or so. OUCH!

Ladies over on the update site, said they are working hard to get things fixed.

Good morning everyone
Another busy day yesterday. Norm went to a Whole Foods store and was able to get the rest of what he needed. Then we went to Barnes and Noble and spent about 2 hours looking for recipes that he can use and enjoy. Last night He had salmon with steamed brocoli and carrots while I had swordfish and the veggies. Then he had a tiny bit of dark chocolate (86% cocoa) which is allowed. It is going to take us some time to get this into some kind of a routine but we WILL.

Going to organize all the cabinets today and get a food pantry donation going with the things we will not be using right away. I'm sure the food pantry will be happy to get it.

No snow here yet...YAY but we are getting great gobs of rain, hopefully it is ending tomorrow.

We took a flyer downstate yesterday, my oldest friend....golly we figured yesterday it's been 61 years...had a house warming for their new house. We had to come back last night because we have an appointment at noon today. Had a wonderful time, especially after the rest had left and she, her sister, daughter and I could have a real gab fest.

Barb, our oldest great started band last year, (seems in the south they don't start until 6th grade, here it's the 5th) playing trumpet. My DGD has been very frustrated with him as he was reluctant to spend time practicing. They went to his Christmas concert and were so surprised to see he is first chair. Guess he's been practicing enough.

Staying home, roads are OK, but, iffy in places .. plus, Lorna slept in til 9:30 ... so .. at least to me, there goes the day .. I prefer to go early and get home by noon .. guess I'll survive ..

Good morning Everyone,

I've been resting a lot and am feeling much better this morning. Will hold off on going for X-rays, etc and see if improvements continue. I'm more tired from the pain than suffering so I'm resting with the furbabies though InkyDink thinks I should play with her constantly. That will change soon enough so I do what I can. She has gotten a bit bigger and her fur is a shiney black. She seems very happy to have "Mom" home and didn't decide to stay with Dana and Tom. She's so young I was afraid a month with them might lead to new loyalties but I'm still definately Mom.

Thinking about Susan and the hearing; praying that all goes well the the housing nightmare ends. Whenever I got frustrated with the petty tyrants at the Mexican embassy in San Diego I thought about what Susan and Bob are going through and chilled out.

I made the crock pot beef (got the mixes when in Ca.) and it is delicious.

Tony and Anita are both here and working while I cintinue to recuperate. I need to start hauling out the bags and boxes of toys and go over them to be sure they are ready for Christmas. I sure hope to be able to do the Santa thing this year. Neighbor Maria who went with me two years ago is hoping to be an elf again.

My mind is still fuzzy but I'm on the mend and thinking good thoughts about all of you.

Yes Dianne...Christmas Blues is a fitting title...Thank you again. I told DH I was getting a Grinch cut out for the yard along with a Bah Humbug Banner. He starts grousing about Christmas the day after Hallowe'en.

I have windows open to air out the house from painting this weekend. Looks like it will rain soon, but I needed some fresh air.

Also because of this weather, I have leaves on my lilac tree!!! Buds popping for leaves and one little leaf so far.

No snow here... in fact it is balmy. I worked outside this morning in shorts.I am blowing leaves again much to Chaos' delight. I wish you all could see him - he has the sweetest face wen he lights up.

M Canada Post is not doing their part on helping Santa Warren. . are supposed to (CP) deliver by I think 7pm. Couldn't nap, think I will just call it a very early evening.

.Oh Judy, Judy, Judy the boys thought you were an angel. At first I placed the box. The boys were all over it. I opened and Diesel snorted through it and pulled out something that smelled great to him. The other 2 followed suit. But then they were baffled - they had never seen tissue or wrapping paper. Their eyes just lighted up when they figured what they were supposed to do Plus Auntie Judy the favourite toy was there - a rope for each of them. The Thundering Herd welcomes their Auntie Judy very,very much.. I haven't opened the rest of the parcel but will tonight if my headache calms down. I will open up the rest when I don't have double vision.

Lorna wants to fly down .. no way I can go as I am going in January with Gordon .. quite the situation ..

Took the day off work today, so did my daughter, and we went out Christmas shopping. Long day, I'm exhausted, but got a lot of names checked off the list!! Plus ended up spending a lot of money on myself (well, my car) I dropped it off this morning because I thought it needed an alignment, and my daughter offered to drive. Ended up needed a ball joint, and two front tires (he said the steel belts were showing through), plus the alignment. Might have to be a bit stingier with those I haven't already bought for. An expense I wasn't expecting!
