Update on my ex. Both of my boys are with him. He went to the hospital Monday to get his chemo treatment and they told him his lab results showed he was having problems, so they admitted him for observation. Early Tuesday morning he flat lined so they had to use the paddles to bring him back. That is when they moved him to ICU. He is in the process as I type of getting fluids drained to relieve some of the pressure off his chest. Right now he is on a ventilator to help him breath. I will know more later this evening. Thanks for all the prayers.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Hugs for your boys Linda.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Wes is feeling better with the fluid drained from his lungs, but won't know about the biopsies for a while. My brother has a blood clot which made his foot swell up so much. They gave him a shot for the clot and put him on blood thinner. Carol, my SIL takes such good care of him.
Jaye, Wes is in his early 70's and has never had surgery. It seems we all are having such awful medical problems. Prayers for your boys LK and lots of (((((Hugs))))) for you.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Keeping your boys in my prayers too LK....

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

prayers for your boys, LK - Never having had an operation, his body will see this as an invasion..... Your poor boys, watching this.....

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear he is feeling better after the fluids were removed.

My ex had 3 liters of fluid removed this afternoon, and is breathing easier. They are trying to figure why his kidney are shutting down. He has developed a blood infection. My son said it was a septic infection. Or something close to that word.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Hugs and prayers. I know you wish you could do more. It's a hard waiting game.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks Cookie!

I didn't sleep much last night. taking turns talking to each of the boys, trying to comfort them. Hard to do when they are on the other side of the state.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning my family!

Susan, Muffin is now three! He will always be a young kitty!

He refused to eat yesterday, but drank some. Guess he was too full from all that stuffing when he got back. I am very pleasantly surprised that Kel took a papa role, just like years ago. He took some time for Muffin, besides giving his meds.

LK, I pray for an easy stay for your ex and strength for you and your boys.

Pegi, I hope Wes' spirits are not failing. Prayers for him as well.

God is still in the miracle business... look at our brother Ernie. Happy He listens to our prayers/

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

3? hard to believe.......

Good morning, everyone

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Please keep my ex and my boys in your prayers. They are moving my ex to hospice, as there is nothing more they can do for him. His cancer is stage 4 and aggressively growing. My boys need prayer for strength please?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Prayers for the whole family - poor guy

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Hello Everyone,

So much has happened over the past few weeks............I haven't been here or on FB much because I have been dealing with depression and heart ache. I am having a real hard time getting over Doug, 5 yrs is a long time together to just throw away and forget. But not for him...he has found another woman and is in the process of moving in with her. In a way I laugh because I know how he is and I know I am better off, but then it still hurts to think that he thought so little of me after everything I have done for him. The woman is in for a rude awakening soon and I have a feeling she will kick Doug out. I found out that his father passed away a few weeks ago. I sent him a message of condolences and he responded back with "Thnx"

You remember the guy Ron that took me to Fort Bragg for my birthday? Well he was on his way to Reno for Street Vibrations and a truck ran into the back of him which caused him to rear end the gal in front of him that he was riding with. She didn't get hurt to bad was seen and released same day and her bike is being worked on now. Ron wasn't so lucky, he was air lifted by helicopter to hospital to a trauma unit. He sustained 8 broken ribs, a punctured lung, some spinal fractures, 2 hematomas in his brain,2 in his groin. He is now home but still recouping and has a caregiver. I am not friends with him anymore as I found out he told one of my friends a bunch of lies about me. I have since found out that he is a player and a gossiper. Why he said all those lies about me I have no idea other than to boost his ego. He's a lonely old man and will continue to be if he keeps treating women the way he does.

The daycare is doing good, but I am finding out it's way too much for me to handle. So I asked my daughter have her friend help out. So for now I am only working Mondays and Wednesdays. I need to be here for my mom and get this yard work done. My cousin is not holding up her end of the bargain and will soon be out of here if things don't change.

As for my mom I think she may end up having surgery on her neck after all. The pain meds and PT just are not helping :(

To everyone going through "issues" I pray for YOU all and wish you nothing but the best.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Prayers for your boys LK as they go through this last journey with their dad. So much is happening this year that it could send anyone into a depression. I am getting back into the problem of sleep again, waking up around 2 or 3 in the morning. I'm praying for all those who are in need, and there are so many.

Going to be 100 today, just wondering when we will get our fall weather. I want to get out and do a few things but can't do it in this heat. I may have to start being a night owl and get some work done. My yard is in mess, back and front. My neighbor's house is on the market for $430,000. She has a beautiful yard and they have pictures of the inside on the realtors web site. It is so beautiful, she must have stuck a lot of money into remodeling. A perfectionist if I ever saw one.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Sending more prayers LK. My heart goes out to your boys and you. Even though he is an ex,
I know you still hurt as he is your sons Dad.

Sending prayers for you too Cindy. I know it can be really hard to get out of depression.

And sending more prayers out to all of you who are in need.

Asking for some too - my brother has just found out that a PET scan done by the VA four years ago showed lung cancer and he was never told or treated. He is in hospital now....

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Oh Barb, so sorry. My opinion, from family experience. VA hospitals are the worst.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Thanks Karen. Not sure where he goes from here. Right now he is fighting a bronchial infection and seems to be doing good. Then he see about the cancer. I hate all the waiting and red tape.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cindy I am sorry to hear all the stuff you are going through.

Barb, we will keep your son in our prayers.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

The years don't matter, Cindy. You had invested your best in the relationship and if you had known it would be a waste of time, bet Doug will never be in your life. It is easy to say time will heal you, actually what will heal you is watching Doug gets his karma.. and then some!
Enjoy your days with your mother.

Oh Barb, how could the VA pros do that to your brother?
My ex goes to the ones in Lafayette, La. for minor stuffs, but for full facility, it's Alexandria which is about two hours drive away,. They are both lacking in compassion and seem to be treating just the symptoms.
He was also overlooked for a heart valve replacement, until his complaints got him checked at the Houston, VA.
I agree, for years it's been this way. Our vets don't get any respect.

Rains have finally stopped yesterday and today I see dark clouds.

Prayers go to all, whether you asked or not. Prayers go with love.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

good morning, everyone

Bob & I celebrate 17 years of marriage today - he's my best friend, and I'm so happy to have met him.
We won't be doing anything special today - no room for the normal Thanksgiving dinner we would have had in previous years, but we are together, and I guess that's really all that matters :-)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Happy Anniversary Susan and Bob!!
Sometimes a quiet celebration can be the best when love is still in your marriage!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Congrats to you and Bob Susan, I agree a quiet celebration with just the two of you is probably what you need the most right now.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Here is our wedding day, and our invitation.
1pm today, it will be 17 years...... and I love him more now than I did then. Didn't think that would be possible, but it is :-)
We had a piper, and as much Scottish tradition as is possible in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada lol

Happy Anniversary Susan and Bob!!! Norm and I prefer a quiet day rather than a fuss..... It is the love that matters....

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Barb - as Betty said, we'll have a Double Celebration next year!
Normally Bob & I have a dinner at our place, with our dearest friends, and this year there's no place to eat dinner - no room for a table. ah well - double celebration next year :-)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Happy Anniversary to you both. Bob is a tall one.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

yeah, Bob is THE tall one lol He's 6' 3", to my 5' lol
Thank you, LK for the anniversary wishes :-)

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Now imagine my DGD at less than 5' and her hubby at 6'8".

Tell Bob he rocks the kilt.
