Thanks Linda, Helena, and Debra. I
Hope you get some nil blooms soon. My eyes watering so bad I can't see to type, so tired of it.
I will call the Dr's office today. My neighbor has had multiple eye surgeries and she told me the glare is normal.

Your garden looks great Debra.

I feel for you Jackie.

Wish I had new blooms too, most of mine are winding down.

I love your new blooms Helena. Blushing Bride is a beauty, I also love the
other 2 , both very pretty.
Oops, my instructions said to keep both eyes closed after the surgery for 3 or 4 hrs to prevent scratching the eye, Guess who couldn;t do it? Maybe I can get them to not put the patch on so tight this next time.

oh dear, Jackie, I could never keep my eyes shut!
Helena, please please keep posting your blooms, you might be surprised and have a new "wave" of color. Boy, that BB is so pristine. I don't think I have ever seen a Hein no Umi, yours is preally rich in color. love the pointy type petals. Your purple pink reminds me of one I grw some time back.
I am going to post pics of what I grew a year ago, just for fun..

Helena, those are beautiful!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

whoa, I love the last set. Beautiful!
that first one is so unusual. I love it too.
We gotta find a name for the second one.. :)

After another crazy hot and busy day at work, we are now ready to load a u haul, a truck and a Honda civic full of 25 years worth of stuff up to Kansas City Saturday. Baby is finally leaving and she has emptied her room and I am shocked at how she threw away so much stuff I never thought she would. Now, I will have two empty rooms upstairs, and with the new proposed electricity hike, I might take advantage of those windows. :)

So I'm finally back with a few pictures - I'm still waiting for the grey nil, it neither liked the cold start of this summer, nor the dry and hot (40 °C ?!?!) second half, nor the hailstorm. I admit I still don't get how those little icy bullets aim well enough to behead most of the vines of it.

but there are others to compensate: Pic one is a voluntary I.Purpurea - rather basic for your standards, but rather vigorous, and the flowers are rather big for a purp. 2 and 3, I.Lobata and I. Slooteri, have a hard time fighting a very vigorous, yet small flowered I.Hederifolia Lutea on the same trellis. 4 and 5 add some non-ipomoea, yet still short lived tubular flowers: my beloved broken colors Mirabilis Jalapa (I've added another, white-yellow broken one to my collection this year, might share those later on) and my first female pumpkin flower this year - after about 100 males.

all in all I've learned not to start ipomoeas too early, as the most vigorous are the voluntaries that germinated in may. all my mid-february indoors struggle ever since transferred to the garden.

Debra, did your daughter get a job?
Sad but happy day when they move out.

Gautier, MS

Thanks ladies. Jackie that was Dany's Peach. Loved that bloom too.

Pretty pictures Debra and Garak.

Here's todays pics. First my little turtle friend was digging a hole, she must want to lay eggs.

Love the turtle, have you had it long?

Beautiful morning glory blooms!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Helena, I have a baby turtle that looks like that. It isn't one of our kansas box turtles, and isn't an eastern missouri box turtle and isn't a painted box turtle so am trying to figure it out. She is just a baby., but has grown three inches since we have her.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Love your blooms Debra.
Your blooms are lovely Helena.
I'm liking the pink on pink a lot now too.

Gautier, MS

Thanks ladies.

I don't know what kind of turtle that is either. I've been finding baby turtles in different sizes since early spring coming into my yard, sometimes the small ones rest I water trays close to my mg pots. I like wildlife so I'm glad to see them visit my yard to get some water and maybe food, not sure what they eat though.
