The humidity here is at 80 percent, and 90s feel like triple.

The General Manager at Bob's job says he'll have to find his own way into work, then he can use the company van to do his job. Which means Bob will take my car. On days when I need the car, I would simply go into work with Bob, stay in Calgary to do what I need to do (Dr app't, visit friends, etc), then come home with him.
BUT, none of this is written in stone, until we see the acreage, and make up our minds then.
I'm going to talk to my cousin in Calgary, and to my daughter Michelle - get their "take" on things.

I have figured out how to make one even I can eat at least one piece. The sugar is cut to a minimum.

I bet you could use splenda?

There is yellow cake mix with no sugar added and also pineapple the same way. For the brown sugar I use the Splenda blend and the Cherries are really not too high in sugar. I know it's not perfect and I can't eat a lot of it, but so far no body has noticed a difference from the one I used to make which was always a hit.

don't know our temps today LOL . but it sure is hard to breathe out in the humidity. wow.
I know some of you are getting hit with higher heat temps . (Stay safe and cool ), then we are here in Ohio. but humidity is humidity blach :P LOL .
watered and feed the goat. kept the big barn door open for air flow.

Another day of punishing temps todat it will reach the 70's for two weeks in a row. At least the corn and punkins are liking it.

The punishing sun is still relentless in it's effort to bake us all . Temp was 73 in the shade today. Oh well stuff is growing well though. The watering is going on some by sprinklers and some by the hose no rain in sight.

Just came home from the casino boy no Laughing here I lost 80 bucks Linda lost over a hundred and Tim won about 250. He was up 600 at one point and I tried to get him to quit at 450 and again at 300 but he kept at it.At one point he was down to 73 bucks but won back to 290. Since he started with 40 that left him with a 250 profit.

Weather is so nice at night the dogs want to stay out. I am not going to listen to woof woof woof all night. So inside on your beds you mutts and no fighting over the beds they can just all use their own lol. They are like a bunch of kids..

Ernie, it is 72 right now and that feels very nice to us.

It is still 81 and don't think I can handle any warmer. If only we could lose weight when we sweat I would be getting skinny.

People across the street put a nice long unit out to the curb for free. Lots of storage space to hide lots of goodies, but I'm not going to say I want it, don't need it. But then he put out some nice ceramic flower pots which are really nice, but no drainage holes. A young man came for the unit, was funny seeing him go down the street with it on a dolly. Do I need more flower pots, well NO I don't, but these are so nice, one is brand new. I'm now seeing more people put furniture out to the curb and it doesn't last long.

I'm back...............
Friday evening the basement tenant disconnected all internet, and my phone, tv & internet were gone.... He was yelling obscenities and Bob & I went to the motorhome and slept there.....
We tried to get our internet back, and even called the police on Saturday - they got almost all the equipment, but some was attached to the wall and they couldn't give that to the police.
Today, the tech who installed it on the 31st came, and got the "white box" and everything is now here, so I can now visit here, read email, and phone my daughter to wish her Happy Birthday today......
Yesterday we went to Olds and it's a 1 1/4 hour drive for Bob, using our vehicle so a lot of gas $$.
Plus, there is no bathroom, kitchen, or washer/dryer at the moment. Jackie & Doug move there on July 1st, so they haven't taken possession yet.
There are no jobs in the immediate vicinity that we can see.

Susan, if the police were called, does that not give you reason to have him evicted?

The police asked me "Where is your landlord in all this?". I told him - the landlord doesn't care, just wants his rent each month.
He won't evict him for anything other than non-payment of, or late, rent. Says there's no other reason for eviction that doesn't require him to go to court for eviction. He owns 5 other rental buildings, and has been to court 57 times because (he says) of bad tenants.

Sounds to me like the landlord doesn't do background or any other checks. At the very least he should check where they lived formerly, which doesn't always catch the weirdos. Sounds to me like he hoped to pass on the problems to you and Bob to deal with and then couldn't give up control.

I would tell the landlord to do something or you will not pay rent, as you can't even sleep in the house with all the noise.

Can you put your rent in an escrow account? Did you ever get a receipt for the rent paid?

Mike was the basement tenant when Ker bought this house in April - had been since Feb 2014.
Yes, Ker wanted us to "do something" about Mike, but then won't give up control.
No, he never gave us a receipt for June rent.
Put in escrow, eh? I'll have to look into Alberta rulings for that. I know that we have to pay rent, unless directed otherwise by Alberta Landlords & Tenants organization.
