My Dr has me on Oxycodone. Doesn't do as well as I'd hoped......

Susan, I hope your Dr has something for your knees. Like most pain meds they only work for a short time.

yeah, guess they've outlived their usefulness......

I got me a bottle of 500 mg. of magnesium tabs and also a bottle of Melatonin. I had never heard of it until one gal in one of my games mentioned it since I've had trouble sleeping. So now, I expect to cure some of my problems. LOL Lately my sleeping habits have been getting better, but still need that potty break in the middle of the night.

Susan, glad you have your place rented, one headache off your mind. Hope the rest of your settling in to your new place goes smooth.

I just had a LONG discussion with my daughter - a paralegal in a real estate office - giving me advice on what to do to lessen the "hit" we're going to get from Revenue Canada, come next tax time, and how to be prepared for "holiday time contingencies" should anything major go wrong with the mobile on Christmas Day f'instance - hot water heater blows and we have to pay "holiday rates" when we otherwise wouldn't have any $$
Gawd, she's good - I thank GOD that she's my daughter and has our best interests at heart........

Well, Dr gave me hydromorphine, T3's, and a gel to put on the "affected areas", and I've taken my 1st doses of each....... Feeling not too shabby. BUT, will still not overdo, because I'm not feeling the pain I was........
I know - I've already been told not to get addicted to the morphine, and not to overdo to where I injure myself more
and the Dr has also requested (on an urgent basis) for me to have a new MRI done, because I told him that when it's bad and I'm out shopping, I use a wheelchair. Also, that my cane is my constant companion (and we're not even married!!) that I would rather not have. Told him my family & friends are saying I'm not having quality of life......
btw - the hydromorphine is a slow release that I take once when I get up and one close to bedtime.

I was taking some sort of morphine in the form of Lamaline, which my sister sent. Helped me with my leg pains .

LK it's legal in this state to grow the stuff if you have a medical reason. That also applies to cookies and candy tith MJ added. How much is added but they sell brownies for !5 bucks. You only eat a little at a time.

I think Melatonin is wonderful !! but for me I find it takes a few days before it works, helps to make me drowsy. I can sleep, once I can fall asleep. I could sleep through just about anything. but the falling part , can take forever!! I take magnesium too.

Like you Thunder, it was the falling part. I'd turn on tv, read, just to tire my eyes.

Melatonin has helped and I'm getting more calcium with the milk. But it may be the Prozac too, as I take that in the evening
I am just as mellow as a cat in the sun and no complains.
Just yesterday at church, the tears rolled for once. A sermon that hits home.

LK has persuaded me to join a quilt block swap, and that will be of great help in refocusing energy.
My kiddies' quilts are on hold. No deadline.
Whereas with set timeline for the blocks, that's motivating me to start checking the tubs for fabric required!! Oh boy. nice to reacquaint myself with old friends!!

Barb if you're reading this, I will try to get as close to Thimbleberries' line.

Thanks Jaye, Brody is one of those kids you just want to squeeze to pieces. He's always happy and very loving. I call him my snuggie buddy because when I'm there, he crawls in to snuggie with me every morning. I'm going to really miss that when he grows out of it.

He sure looks like every grandma's favorite little boy!! I want to just reach out and hug him and hug him and squeeze him and then kiss his face all over!!
The other little boy that I wish I could do that to is Dylan.

Hello Friends!!
I was off on another ride yesterday. Met up with some friends in Marysville, rode to Buck's Lake Resort, had lunch then continued our ride through the Plumas National Forest. A total of 180 miles round trip. The temps were ok going but Oh Man!!! was it hot when we got back into Marysville, ugh Today we are to have triple digits ugh

I will be off on another adventure this weekend. I am leaving early Thursday morning and won't be back until Monday. It's called the Redwood Run, thousands and thousands of bikes from all over every campground in the Humbolt county will be full!! This will be my first time going and it's going to be a blast. Ron is such a nice guy and told me I can get as wild and crazy as I want and he will keep an eye on me, LOL He's doing a pretty good job of it now. He is my second pair of ears.

was out in garden with planting annuals. turned into a out of control project LOL. rearranged more plants that i can handle LOL. gee whiz. started to rain and storm. so at least the plants are watered LOL.

Sue, I had turned down plants for that simple reason that I can't keep up with what I have now. My poor church sisters cannot believe I am not getting help from Kelvin.
There are some daylilies that I have to remove and the ground is hard as brick. Guess these will die a slow death as the pawlonia tree is giving out too much shade.

We had our fist triple digit weather yesterday ugh 104, not that hot but still too warm for me. And tomorrow it's supposed to be 77 and might rain wth?? Mother Nature sure is messed up lol


This is a pic of my great nephew Shade, he got to meet his grandpa for the first time last Saturday. He is going to be spending about a month here in Cali. Mom and I are going to take him again to see my brother. He doesn't care that he has to get up at 5 am he said he is going! They didn't get a very long visit last Saturday. The other pic is my niece Melissa, Shade's mom my brother's 2nd daughter. She is leaving Wed to go back to Idaho :(
