Hello! I have 6-7 years old Haworthia and it has made it's first baby. I have removed the baby from the mother plant. It had some little own roots, but now they all are gone because overwatering.
Does it have any possibility to survive and do new roots? Do I need to keep it dry some day, maybe week or what? Now it is on water.
In the picture both plants are on their own pots and healthy, but now the baby is on water and mother had one leaf removed by the same reason. I have not removed the mother from it's pot yet. I try to get the soil dry (it is not so wet anymore).
Thanks for any help!
Haworthia fasciata
Yes, the offset will grow new roots. Keep both plants on the dry side (water every week or two depending on your mix and the light, or whenever the soil goes dry). The offset will look sad while it is rootless, do not compensate by overwatering. The easiest way to get it to root is just to pot it up in soil.
Be sure your pots have holes at the bottom, give good light (indoors, at least some daily sun is ideal), and be patient as the recovery may take several weeks.

Thank you very much! I will follow your advice.
When do I need to start water the baby again? I have put it back on the dry soil already.

You can wait a few days if you want but more than that is not necessary, provided you are letting the soil go mostly dry in between watering.
