Prayers never stop Jaye.
Rm 299 "Sweet Interruptions" Hotel
(((((((*Hugs Jaye*))))))
((((Hugs)))) Jaye and I'm always praying for you.
It rained more this afternoon & evening. Finally some much needed moisture. Every month Dish gives us a couple free channels and I'm so glad Hallmark is one of them for this month. Watched a couple Christmas stories and one I've seen before but loved it. This Saturday night "Mr. Miracle" is going to be on. I just finished reading the book and waiting to see the movie. Have to watch my NCIS, but when that is over I'll be back to Hallmark.
My brother-in-law in Minnesota spent Thanksgiving holidays at the Mayo clinic. All tests they ran seem to be OK and he is suffering from enphysema. But, I know there are a lot of meds to help the breathing. Now will see what his doctors say when they get the results. Prayers seem to be helping in every area this season.
Just a quick Hello!!! We are getting FLOODED!!!! It has been raining here for days and today was HORRIBLE!!! This is a pic from mom's. I'm sure most of you have seen the news. It's crazy out there, glad I don't have to go out in it.
I will be back in a day or to to let ya all know what all has been happening with Me. I won't be here anymore after the 14th, I'm not going to renew my membership because I just don't come here that often anymore, besides I talk to most of you on FB. And another reason is I don't do swap anymore. I really enjoyed those but just can not afford to do them anymore.
oh Cindy - we're going to miss you here - and we don't talk on FB, you & I.
I think of you every time I look at the purple butterfly you sent me in a swap...... makes me smile, because we both love butterflies!
Cindy, sorry to see you leave us, but I'll see you on Facebook.
Well, "Outlander" has just been down loaded to my kindle. I shouldn't put so many books on hold at one time. Then the library has a book for me to pick up. What a a busy time of year to have so many books to read. But, woke up around 3 AM told Mandy I will be right back and go to the bathroom. I grab my kindle and read a little. Never get to read much before my eyes get droopy again. I shut off my kindle, Mandy crawls under the covers, turn out the light and go back to sleep. Good thing I don't have to get up early.
Cindy is flooded out, but we aren't getting heavy rain. Don't know if we will get more rain, but if it comes I will welcome it as long as it doesn't come down in buckets.
Sorry Cindy but you're not going anywhere....Just paying it forward.
Looks like a lot of rain Cindy! Please take care if you have to drive in that weather.
Cindy's not leaving, she just don't know it yet.
There are angels in this room!! When a sister needs, there's always one to step in.
Karen, Barb, LK, Cookie, Sis Kathy, Susan, Marion, LizH, Liz (lurker), Judy, Pegi, brother Ernie, Sue.. anyone I'm missing? Thank you for your good vibes and prayers.
My head's about to burst. So I have to make this short. Thank you for your prayers, everyone.
If I could turn back time, I should have never woke up this morning.
Have to praise the Lord and your prayers sure got me to hold my tongue, and take that bigger road..
Good night my darlings, and Pegi.. that book will keep you up and miss your games.
Sure hope your headache is gone soon Jaye!
(((((KAREN)))))) Thank You, I wasn't posting in hopes someone would pay my membership, lol I really don't come here that often anymore, but now I will~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So here is what's going on with my life........Most of you know my brother is in prison :( He went before the parole board and was denied 3 more years. He said the two women that did the hearing were horrible to him and never gave him a chance to say anything and his lawyer NEVER said one word!!! It was a total shock to all of us as he had done really good, took all classes and self help programs. They had moved him to a medical facility which did not help either. The story is really to long for me to go into. So because of that I am moving back in with my mom. Her health is not good and she is losing her eye sight. I just didn't feel comfortable being so far away from her and only seeing her once a month. Doug did not want to move up here, because his mom is not well (dementia) and he hates moving. I had been stressing about what to do. Well it just so happened that Doug's best friend needed a place. So I am cleaning out the craft room for him. I'm leaving most of my stuff there. And will be going down once a month to help Doug out with grocery shopping, clean house, pay bills etc. Plus I still have my flower gardens there. It will be tough being away from him for so long of periods but we have Skype so that helps a little. I have a lot of things to do around here to keep me busy. I'm going to be doing a lot of landscaping, lol. This house will be mine someday so I might as well get a jump start on the gardens the way I want them :)
I don't know if any of you saw on the news the storm we had these past few days. Well the yard here got flooded and so did my storage shed :( The ditch that runs along side of the house was full of leaves, weeds and dirt and that's why the yard got flooded. So this morning mom and I got out there and cleaned it out. I had started digging the ditch out a few years ago and was laying down chicken wire and cementing it but never got it finished, so that is number one on the list. With the ground good and wet it digs up really easy lol.
I've been busy getting my candles ready for the flea market that is coming up Saturday. They hold these the first Saturday of every month. When I first called about a spot there was one left outside, which was fine because it's not supposed to rain. Well now it's going to rain on Saturday, but I lucked out!! A spot came open inside the hall. My mom bowls with the lady that runs the flea market, so that was a big plus! Today I told mom we need to just keep on making craft stuff and get a permanent spot come Spring.
My daughter's day care room flooded today, so they had to move her and her kids to another room. She said 26 kids a 4 adults all day OMG!!! lol She will be having her own day soon. They are getting ready to fence in their front yard and do some other work to get house up to code. She will make more money this way.
Well Ladies, I will check back in a few days let you know how well I did. I've got like 200+ candles to sell. Will be setting up tomorrow, then back by 6 am Saturday ugh lol

Cindy, I never thought that was the reason for your post...Someone did the same for me once and as I said, just paying it forward. Your candles are lovely and the scents sound heavenly.
Good luck with your flea market. Here's hoping your rain settles into a safer level. Guess you just proved the old adage...."When it rains it pours".
Cindy - so glad you're staying, but ugh....... all the stuff you've been going through!! Beautiful candles!
Karen - you're an earthly angel! btw - that wonderful embroidery book you sent me is going to do me for baby stuff - and that was one part of the book I didn't think I'd use!! Well, it Will be used lol
Jaye - what happened to give you the headache this morning? I see you held your tongue with Kel...... but what happened? You can tell us...... We pray right alongside you, all the time.
Well, I have 1ft knitted of the 3 ft long (wide) baby shawl, so will have it done for Christmas!
Susan, I'm so glad you are getting to use that section, those grands are mighty special.
Running through again as things are really busy here at the moment. Major number of boxes have finally gone away via recycle. What a relief!!! Have one smallish tree set up in the family room; one for the living room hopefully will go up tonight. This will be the first in several years Kim and I have had a tree (s). Running back and forth over that past years just didn't work!!
Ernie, sure wish you were here!!! We had fresh ground meal cornbread last night for dinner. Make a pot of soup beans and cornbread to go with them. We have a little country store not to far from us that sells the course ground cornmeal....has spoiled us using that. Make you a deal..if you and your wife ever visit Florida, come by with salmon in hand and I will make you cornbread....in cast iron skillet at that!!! :-) Anyone else that comes will do the same for.
Cindy, been hearing about the rains....stay safe please. Sorry to hear about the current situation with your brother and mom. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
PEGI!!!!!! Yes I am shouting. Don't worry about sleeping now that you have Outlander on your Kindle.......just read, read, read and oh yes, enjoy. Do come up for air every so often thought. :-)
Kathy, do you understand the words "slow down and take care of yourself?"...think not. Gal, I worry about you and everything you undertake. Not a bad thing actually I just don't want you being sick....needs you.
Big hugs Sue and Cookie...don't over do things now. Cookie how is Bill doing?
Jaye, I am constantly amazed at your strength but not surprised. You are for sure a survivor and one extremely precious lady. Hugs, much love and prayers for all you are dealing with currently. Sure wish I could come whisk you away for a while.....then think of the trouble we could get into here. ;-)
LK, please don't make me feel worse by making oodles of Christmas ornaments. I have planned for years to do so and alas still in the "think I will do that" stage. Picture of your tree please.
Anyone I missed.....sorry. Have a fantabulous weekend, be safe, healthy and ...........................
Aw, thanks for asking, Marion. Bill is doing much better. I'm hoping he'll be able to do the things he's been missing soon!
ok, who was it who said their Santa Warren pressie was going NORTH? lol that leaves a lot of space, from TX lol LK
Cindy, Jaye, Joyce, Marion, LK, Judy, Kathy....... oh, all of you wonderful ladies....... please take care - no floods, colds, cancer, hubby troubles, medical issues - Any of that stuff....... I'm praying for it all to settle down!
Sue - as long as it's thawed, it should be done lmao Sorry - couldn't resist lol
Cindy those candles are awesome, glad to hear your sticking with us. Sending prayers for your Brother and family. Rain rain, go away...
LK do you have an URL to the tutorial for the folded ornaments. I had a major computer problem this past summer and now I can't find the one I had. I would be very grateful.
I made two of the Missouri Star Quilts Christmas stockings. I'll get a picture this afternoon....
Here ya go Barb, I don't use the iron to press them, I just finger press. And I buy pretty ribbons for the last part.

hahahaha wasn't the cowskull part of the Christmas decorations? gee golly whiz........
LK - I have some of those quilted balls you sent me last year! wow!
btw - buddy of mine, re: Santa Warren exchange - I didn't hand make anything to add to the box this year........ trying to get the baby shawl done, and it doesn't allow me much time to do anything else - I eat, I sleep, and ....... well, gotta visit DG doncha know?!?!
Susan, the Santa Warren swap is on Betty's thread.
Barb, those came out really nice! I love the mitten name tags!
The mitten name tags are really ornaments for our tree that my upstairs neighbor made for us. We don't have room for a tree so I thought this is where they will go. She made us two of each and I'm not sure where the others will go yet....
We really don't want the rain to go away, but jeez don't need to get blasted like we did Wed. lol California is in it's 4th year of drought, so we really need the rain.
Another storm coming in today, supposed to hit between 4 and 5 pm. But not like Wed It's been raining off and on all day today. Of course it had to start as I was unloading my candles.
I'm all set up, not a lot of room for all of them so I will replace as I sell :) Will return at 6 am. My cousin is also selling Aloe Vera plants she has about 100 of, lol
A few of my Christmas ones I sold at the bowling alley
As one who knows your candles, Cindy, you should have no problem selling out. I can attest to how wonderful they are for sure. I'm not allowed candles here in this complex (one lady burned out one of the buildings because of one) or else I would be ordering once again.....
Cindy, those are beautiful! I know you will sell a lot of them!
Those are wonderful LK. I really like how they came out. Very pretty.
such wonderful crafty things you all make.
Lk i love the mice !
Barb so cute stockings ! then mitten name tags sure are cute and add a nice touch.
Cindy your candles are so wonderful and pretty. I bet they smell wonderful.
LOL Susan your so funny.
turkey came out very good. we ate to much. lots of left over . Tom had three servings. He brought the pie. i made whip cream from scratch.
watching football.
time to rest :)
Very pretty Linda. Sure hope you're using a thimble when pushing those pins. I found that our pretty quickly when I made them. Some where I have a box full of pins, fabric, ribbon & styrofoam balls. Might get them back out to play some day.
Very disappointed :( only sold two candles and after paying for spot I made $5.00 I'm not having any luck at this year for some reason :(
